The biggest limits with VR is display resolution and and cost, and the cost of a machine that can actually render a game at the necessary resolution and framerate. Both of which will fall steadily over time.

I don't know who thought that swords would work in VR.

Apart from official Vive/Rift games, there's also mods to make games like GTAV work in VR and even stuff like Metroid Prime on Dolphin. You're playing on PC, if you get a VR headset you're not going to be limited to the official games like PSVR will be.

For me personally, I want VR for sim games, mostly racing games. So I'll wait until VR headsets get cheaper.
