YEAH BOI!!!

In less than three weeks we will be overflowing with Zelda U information to analyze and speculate.

HOW HYPE ARE YOU?!?!

>First dedicated game in history about archery

What about Link's Crossbow Training?

It's not archery.

Crossbows aren't archery, just like staffs aren't swordplay.

Bump

...

So are they releasing it an the Wii U or NX?

...

Twilight Princess 2.0

Both.

It's coming for both.

Nintendo thinks everything they do is going to change gaming forever.

OK i'll humor you.

>First dedicated archery game.

So is the master sword going to be the master bow?

>how hype are you without any solid information except for the fact that the game was delayed will now be released on NX

what did op mean by this

>happy mask salesman

Source?

...

why is link right handed if there is no wagglan

Not OP, but I remember when Majora's Mask 3D was coming out they had some Mask Salesman Q&A thing on Miiverse, where he either strongly hinted or outright confirmed that he'd appear in Zelda U. Can't remember exactly, will try to find it now.

They lost me at bullet time for your bow.

>>Nintendo saying it will change all gaming conventions like OoT
Kojima said he would change gaming conventions in MGS5. Nintendo is going to do the same thing and will not deliver the shit they talk. They just want to hype up the game as much as possible so people will buy it.

Thanks for bumping my thread friendo.

It's ok, I got it for him.

Alright, found it. Seems very likely he'll be in the next Zelda game.

I was really hyped for it, levered me over to buy a Wii U in 2014. Got less hyped recently when they confirmed it would be delayed till 2017 (that's almost three years over time) and when they confirmed the fact I'm getting scraps unless I pay atleast 300 yuros more.

>Nintendo saying it will change all gaming conventions
Arrogant delusional cretins

(Arrogant delusional cretins)^2

Retarded beyond measure

About archery? Citation needed

Learn English also this isn't necessarily a good thing

And? Should I be impressed? Also citation needed

They didn't confirm anything about the differences between the NX and Wii U version. Most likely it'll just be a straight port with no changes like TP was.

Except in TP's case, they added widescreen for the Wii version. But it's highly unlikely there will be anything like that that'll be left out in the Wii U version and only available in the NX version.

but it's just a game so it would play and feel very similar.

Honestly, it will probably be another Twilight Princess situation, where the Wii U one will be better and the NX will be botched in some critical regard.

For instance, maybe Nintendo really will do away with the Gamepad for the NX system, even though it seems so essential to the game.

I'm actually pretty hyped. I'm so utterly tired of the Zelda formula. My only concern is technically Skyward Sword broke the formula in a lot of way but in a lot of ways kept it exactly the same. I will give them one last chance to do something fun and interesting and new.

So this zelda is after windwaker?

>do away with the gamepad

Sounds like an improvement. I actually become less excited about the game when I think of the gamepad. They did it right with OoT 3D. Keep it minimal, but they are not going to do that.

>Most likely it'll just be a straight port with no changes like TP was.

Hardly doubt it

I think that the game will run at 60 fps instead of Wii U silky smooth 30 fps, it will have way better textures and smoother graphics

Also it's likely that it will use Nx gimmicks

Are you a happy person user?

>it will have way better textures and smoother graphics

You're talking nonsense. They're not going to completely redo the graphics from the ground up for a simultaneous port.

The delays are telling me something else
>Target in June 2014: mid 2015 release
>Still somewhat on board for this release at TGA 2014-2015 and show trailer
>WiiU sales stay low, NX masterplan "Let's release like 5 first party big games at the same time" is developed, Zelda U to get slightly delayed so they can get the NX port ready.
- Setting the desired hardware for NX takes longer than thought + usual optimisation/Aonuma delays for Zelda
-Iwata dies, Mafia-San ordering them to delay the whole lot until the NX is released.

The game has been delayed for about a year and a half now. They sure as heck have had extra time to
-A: redo all models in higher res
or
-B: make em all higher res from the start and downscale em, even if it would take like 4x for a high res model (which I doubt)

Considering that the fucking game got delayed for more than two years, it's pretty likely

What if they've just carried on adding content to the game?
Wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

I suspect NX might be launched with a great looking Mario and several other huge titles. It's going to piss me right the fuck off and make me want to buy one though I swore I'm not going to. If they have awesome games and the hardware isn't gimmicky but instead something practical, I might reconsider.

Nintendo games go from barebones to full functioning rather quick, see Splatoon and Mario 3d World.
Whilst I don't think the gameplay we saw at TGA 14-15 was near done or something, it sure as hell was rather far in development. They showed a rather big portion of the map, with more texture work put in compared to SF0 last E3

You're saying they've been sitting on a finished Zelda Wii U title for 2 years just so they could remaster it for the NX? What would be the point? They could've just released Zelda U 2 years ago and then announce an NX remaster only a few years after that, like Sony often does.

You're giving Aonuma way too much credit if you think he was able to finish Zelda U by 2015. He's a very slow game designer who is notoriously bad at estimating the development time for his games. It's 100 times more likely that they just couldn't finish the game in time and they've been spending those past couple of years rushing to complete the dungeons and story content and stuff.

I'd be very surprised if that map was the entire game. I at least expect some retreading or alternate version like the other games.
Perhaps it's like a Rayman Legends situation.

>Happy Mask Salesman
You what?

How likely is it that we will get details on version differences?
If it's just a straight up port I will probably buy it around release but I'm not buying a fucking console for this game

This. Where is the sauce? I didn't think we had any info on it at all.

I got a feeling this game will have some amazing fanart. Also, porn

Hey. I am fairly sure that the NX will be the superior version

Specially when the piece of shot Wii U was a flop

They're probably sitting on a 95% completed Zelda U right now. They were showing us a 20% Zelda U a year and a half ago which was probably made like one or two months earlier. We could have had a fully functional, no-rush Zelda U by now. They're sitting on a big Mario game and working on 3 smaller launch window NX games right now (like rumors and Nintendo's business meeting shit kind of said). I think the Wii U delayed Skyward Sword too and Nintendo admitted that. They don't have focused development groups, it's probably Aonuma and 15 other guys waiting till like 60 people join the project because it's Nintendo's biggest deadline at that moment for at least half of the time, so the fact that the game was... something resembling a video game a year and a half ago means serious work was probably already started on it.

The map they showed was pretty fucking big. For a company that tends to work in small ideas (worlds in Mario, sections of the map in other Zeldas), having a full drawn out map probably means they pretty far in the 'idea' part of the process.

I'm not ruling out that there was a table flip or something similiar, but since the stuff we've seen post delay looks similiar to the stuff pre-delay I think they just waited to work on it / release it.

I actually have a lot of confidence that this game will be good, however, Nintendo is being dickish by releasing it on NX too, which is also the only reason the development time is so long. It would be done already if it wasn't for NX. I just hope the Wii U version is superior so I don't have to buy one.

>open world
into the trash

It'll probably be something 'gimmicky', just not the 'stick a dildo up your butt' gimmicky like Sup Forums always thinks. Also, they'll probably launch with some party games and shit to have a double sided offensive manouver.

Everyone here is so quick to judge, skyrim is a good game and it is open world

can someone post the ingame pic with Link from wind waker seeing from the bottom where he looks fat

>fire master swords from your bow

>fire master bows with your sword

>fire master bows with your sword
>only when you have full hearts

...

I'll also throw in this one for free.

Open World just generally means one big open level with collectables in it. You're basically getting one useless level instead of a few good ones.
Zelda fucks this over by basically making the open world a metroidvania and making dungeons the interesting parts. Open world usually only turns to shit when you have a huge expanse of fucking nothing like wind waker even though it tried really hard to make the islands interesting with the fish guides.

I'm looking forward to it being D E L A Y E D again

thx this pic is just epic

>change all gaming conventions
All Zelda conventions. They never said gaming.

>sonyggers

Actually I think he said open-world conventions, hence the comparison to OoT which changed them forever.
