Why does everyone keep saying he's such a whiny bitch?

Why does everyone keep saying he's such a whiny bitch?
Didn't he have some valid reasons to whine a lil bit

>gigantic monster destroys his city
>gets sucked into the future 1000 years, at least thats what he thinks at that point
>finds out that monster is actually his dad who left him and his mom years ago
>his mom pretty much ignored him after his dad left
>girl he likes gets kissed by some blue haired faggot in front of him
>finds out later hes a fucking dream and when they save the world he will just fucking disappear

That plot was a total clusterfuck, and I can barely remember it. Who's dream was he? How was Auron in there?

He was a dream of the fayth or some shit.
Auron never got "sent". Being Unsent and not becoming a fiend allowed him to "ride" sin back to dream Zanarkand.

Alright

The fayth's

In where? Zanarkand? Auron specifically tells Tidus that Sin brought Auron to Zanarkand.

Because he has daddy issues. Anyone with daddy issues is a bitch.

The plot wasn't complicated at all, I was twelve and understood it.
Tidus is a dream of the Fayth.
Auron is from the Spira you play in, but is an Unsent who rode Jecht-Sin to bring Tidus there to help put an end to the cycle. I don't remember how Jecht ended up in Spira, probably some grand scheme of the Fayth to put everything into motion

"Dream" Zanarkand was a real physical place just like Tidus was a real physical person. They just relied on a different energy source than normal people.

The plot was very simple and effective but retards like you turned half of it into LE EPIC MEME because you didn't understand it.

I'd wager that he encountered sin when he went out to sea for training.
Ended up in bevelle some how and got himself arrested.

When Zanarkand was originally being destroyed, summoners stored everyone as a fayth, the world Tidus is from was the perpetual dream of Zanarkand they were internally keeping alive. Sin can enter the dream and brings Auron back and forth because he's undead and Jecht still has some freewill at the point.

Basically Tidus gets manifested in current Spira and eventually destroys Spira, not really realizing what's happening until near the end.

I think.

Did they ever explain why Tidus was so much different from shuyin?

destroys sin**

Also, pretty sure it's in FFX-2 that they elaborate on all the summoners in original Zanarkand and shit.

Tidus

>Star athlete
>Ace of the top Blitzball team in Zanarkand
>immediately starts slaying monsters with his dad's samurai friend, no fear
>get's swallowed up by an unfathomable monster, firs tthing he does it join with a crew to kill that thing
>bangs Yuna all day with Rikku on the side when he's bored
>LITERALLY KILLS GOD

Tidus is pretty fuckin cool

>I don't remember how Jecht ended up in Spira, probably some grand scheme of the Fayth to put everything into motion
"Zanarkand" is in Spira out in the middle of the fucking ocean near the temple where you get anima.
Sin was cruising out chillaxing around that area protecting zanarkand or some shit to make sure nobody from "spira" could find it. Jecht got too close to the edge and sin noticed him and brought him into the real world.
There's a part I don't fully understand but I think it goes like this.
Yevon were a people who abused machina and went to war with Zanarkand for whatever reason, Zanarkand's summoners then made the fayth to keep zanarkand's memory alive in the form of the dreams.
How Sin comes into this is lost on me.
I would assume Sin was a part of the summoning but then Yu Yevon, whoever the fuck that is, took control of Sin and went power nuts considering he can control summons.

Dreams often fail to line up with reality

...

because he was an insufferable whiny cunt throughout the story despite all this.

What memes. I just can't remember much of the story. I'm looking through some wiki and I can't recall half this stuff

>"the plot is simple and makes sense"
lol

>when you bust an nut and he keeps on thrustin

>Why does everyone keep saying he's such a whiny bitch?

He cries, multiple times

Several characters reference it, "Don't cry," "I thought you were going to cry," etc

he even dreams about crying

It's like he is incapable of getting angry, and so he just cries instead

>kills god
Don't remember that part
Bevelle went to war with zanderkand and a man named yu yevon summoned sin, somehow this destroys his mind and makes him a vegetable whose only function is summoning sin.

I think yu yevon was from zanderkand but i could be wrong

>tfw

>autistic sperg lords have no social intelligence which prevents them from relating to, understanding or empathizing with people and/or personalities that aren't typical hero game characters

That's why.

Tidus was whiny but it was perfectly understandable. He was a pampered city boy with daddy problems who got thrown into the unknown, he never properly had the chance develop himself emotionally or maturely

through hardship*

The main characters of JRPGs are typically given shit if they are male, unless they're just some incredible badass.

>Tidus
>whiny bitch
>literally first move he learns is cheer

They should have made the game about Auron and just not even have Tidus in the game

Auron himself states that he already had his story.

Why is this guy such a colossal FAGGOT

I mean just fucking look at him, for god sake, he is 100% atrocious. You're supposed to hate the villain, but not on principles of character design. This nigga is fucking gay as shit

>That plot was a total clusterfuck
Nah, you just weren't paying attention. Although you could have missed whose dream he was. Pretty much everything regarding Auron was explained pretty clearly.

I replayed it recently but it's not as complicated as it seems
He was one of the people that lived in the Dream Zanarkand that the people who survived dreamt to keep the memories of the original Zanarkand after it was destroyed
The fayth on Mt. Gagazet are forced to dream to keep dreaming Dream Zanarkand and will only be released once Yu Yevon is killed or stops dreaming

I think you just you just don't understand the Guado, it was explained properly you just weren't paying attention

Then I guess I can't recall it. I just remember a bunch of people being namedropped here and there who apparently were central to the plot but I can't remember who did what and why

Final Fantasy always had retarded character designs. I mean look at this Insane Clown Posse reject for fucks sake.

He's not whiny he's just hungry

So was Squall, yet he's considered "realistic" despite going out of his way to be a massive asshole to his friends.

When was it explained why their veins are about to explode and why their hair defies gravity

Why? He's a mutt, a failed summoner that witnessed his mother essentially dying to become a fayth, and ultimately a dude who became warped due to trauma.

Now I might be wrong, but I don't think those are veins.
I think that's hair.

This is now a bkub thread

It's veins, apparently the Guado have prominent veins

Regards FFX Wiki

>hair
>literally in his face
I don't know about that.
That's just guado hair, bro.

But was it explained why the hair is like that

Sounds like a personal problem to me.

it's like Wakka's hair

It's just stuck that way

About as much as why the Ronso grow horns.

why would she bust a nut?

as someone who's never played ffx, someone explain to me what "he was a dream" fucking means, I keep hearing this shit about Tidus.

Auron is the best Final Fantasy character of all time. Prove me wrong.

Oh wait, you can't.

EE YE YU EE

>Everyone complains about Tidus
>Wakka is a religious racist that hates machines and ends up marrying many people's waifu
Kek

WHEN YOU BUST A NUT AND SHE KEEPS ON SUCKIN

They're tree people, it's supposed to be like branches

Lulu is old and busted.

Rikku is the true hotness.

>disgusting ADD-riddled child
>hotness
>goth milf goddess
>busted

Okay.

Just because Yuffie is best girl in her game doesn't mean that applies to every game

She's "busted" alright.

idk family kain was cool too but i never played ffx for sure

In what country do you live where 15 is a child? That's old enough to get killed in a war.

>Yuffie
That bitch stole my materia and left me in Wutai. Fuck Yuffie.

>Fuck Yuffie.

Damn right

KILL OR BE KILLED JACK

PHNOM PENH TAUGHT ME THAT

I hate his blue face veins so fucking much.

I hate his v-neck dress with the neckline that plunges down to his pubic hairs, and his dragon tattoos

Jesus Christ he's such a faggot

His presence in KH2 was way too short. Such a great voice too.

There was a city called Zanarkand and Tidus lived there. Then it was attacked by some other place and some guy called Yu Yevon turned all the citizens into some kind of living statues called the fayth so that he can summon a big monster called Sin to attack the invaders. So now everyone is basically dreaming forever and people are chilling in dream Zanarkand

Then a thousand years later FFX happens and Tidus is taken out from the matrix because his dad has somehow become the big monster or some shit. Every time someone kills Sin they become Sin and then I guess Tidus has to kill his dad for some reason even though both of them are already dead

Maybe they should have mentioned it in the game

I've seen worse.

vivi

but auron is a close second

Rank the following FF stories from greatest to crappiest

Inside sin make summon of zanarkand as it were before it got destroyed. exist far away where only sin can get to. jecht find sin while train in ocean. jecht take sin to rest of world and find out about dream zanarkand being of summons. jecht become fayth and mind control sin to take his pal auron to go get son tidus. auron have plan to end sin because he are be used for bad. tidus are summon person can be used to win plan against sin.

>one-not
>literally the most important character, storywise, in the game besides Yuna and Tidus, and even then only barely

VIII was bad but XIII is so poorly told it's hilarious.

>Inside sin make summon of zanarkand
already fucked up in the first sentence huh?
No point reading any further.

Horrible fucking game. I've played it about 5 times and get to the end and quit. I'm a trophy whore and don't even want to beat the game. Don't even want to buy the travesty that is ff7. Shitty games with shitty characters, villains, and story. Ff7 music is good though.

13 had a decent story but it was poorly executed

8 had nice execution but complete ass story

10 was bad in story, bad in execution

6 was fucking terrific all-around

VIII at least started off strong. Even when it fell apart halfway through, the story soured but the storytelling didn't. XIII started off shit, stayed shit, and was told like shit.

Until you play with the original voices you have no say since the dub version doesn't really portray anyone correctly.

Heck the part where Tidus acts like an old man at Rin's Inn sounds like shit compared to the Japanese version for instance.
Even though it's a minor thing, that's just how different the proper voices are compared to the dub.

got it

If you hate the game so much why did you play it to the end 5 times?

>8 had nice execution

Really? You consider the orphanage TWEEST to be "nice execution"?

10s story (world building and concept) absolutly shit on 8 and 13

all FF games are poorly written, they at best have a good concept/world

only exception is 12 where this is flipped, writting is good but the world and concept are boring as fuck

Final Fantasy X-3 announcement soon.

>The voices

I'm not going to understand if he's whining or not or how stupid he sounds (or doesn't) if I can't understand a single word they're saying

>8 had nice execution

Yes, but we still have to listen to it. Besides, in game world time he should have had some time to himself to cope with what was going on.

Why couldn't they just have him bottle up his frustrations and have them manifest of psychological disorders like a normal person would?

Maybe square shouldn't have made him so much cooler than Tidus, then?

The tone of the voice is enough for you even if you don't understand Japanese.

Heck a lot of the dub even changes what they say which further distances the voice acting.

Never dub, ever.

>Really? You consider the orphanage TWEEST to be "nice execution"?

I said the story was ass, I just felt it had a nice progression to it and the characters and the drama were really engaging. It was enjoyable to play through until you get far enough into the story to start to see how fucking stupid the story is. But there were a lot of great scenes and memorable sequences in it

You're mostly right, however, when given its proper translation, FF4 actually wound up being really well-written.

>Main character shows any kind of trait other that stoic silence.
>Wow, angst much?

it's stylistically designed to be that way
