but man, they didn't show anything. If they hinted at the looting in the trailer, that would have been everything they showed. Climbing is neat, but that seems like it would break the game immensely.

I've played the series since the first NES game, that includes the lesser known games like Link's Awakening. I have also read the Zelda comics in Nintendo power and watched the cartoon.

What's Dark Souls about it? The fighting still looks shallow as hell. Except now you can put things on fire, cook, jump, sail and climb. It's doing everything but being Dark Souls.

They literally made up a retarded time line after the fact to try to tie games with essentially no story together.

It's like what I was hoping for. It's like they asked each other, "What if we had never made Ocarina, and we had to make the first 3D Zelda over again?"

Not a perfect analogy because there are clear WW elements of the animation and enemy design but otherwise the concepts seem more to me like what I imagined a 3D Zelda would be in my mind before Ocarina came out.

I thought about that with the climbing but they'll probably put enough obstacles in certain areas that the stamina meter would prevent the player from zooming to the top of a mountain or whatever.

If this is after ww then did the giant water evaporate or what?

The art direction is beautiful but the graphical quality sucks, NX version will probably be amazing.

When extensive dialogue is the norm, like it is in the Zelda franchise, it's silly to say that's not how it should be.

I know how Zelda games work, dork. Zelda combat has always been relatively shallow compared to other action games. And from what we've seen so far, there is no reason to believe that it has any added depth.

This takes place after Wind Waker and has the same exact Ganondorf, who survived and now wants to be nice and peaceful, but the whole eternal battle thing will eventually force him to fight link in the end.

The map they showed was the entire world. The green portion in the center is the demo part, but the rest of the blacked out area represents the rest of the game. It's not that big.

Then what is it? Clearly it's set in WW timeline.
