I thought I'd never hear an odd mix of industrial metal and Christian metal in a game.
Great fun to play casually. Once you start playing the higher difficulties/take it seriously, the game falls apart.
It only improves upon number 1 in 2 ways, which are graphics and hitboxes. Everything else is either a downgrade or similar quality.
Just look through most helpful on steam review page and look at the number of people with hundreds of hours giving negative reviews. I checked a bit and couldn't find any positive reviews there.
At least it didn't completely kill Killing Floor 1. Seems like the servers aren't as empty as they were when they announced Killing Floor 2. That's a positive thing right? Was actually going to try the game this weekend, but after last nights thread, I changed my mind.
The game is a co-op experience, why the fuck are they balancing it towards a vs. mode that no one wanted?

1 year and no improvements have been made for real. Most promised things never came around and they're already working on VR Killing Floor or some shit.

Killing Floor is a simple zombie shooting game. They are trying to turn it into some kinda retarded Diadlo like RPG what with all the resistances and perks for the classes.
You don't need any of that shit, it was dumb as fuck having perk levels in KF1. It added annoying grinding and nothing else. No one liked having to dumb hours into demo before it got even remotely decent and worth playing. No one likes doing that in KF2 either.
Just make classes that have unique powers and weapon sets. Give zeds more moves to attack and defend themselves. Make interesting maps of all sizes.

Tripwire are hacks, KF2 is probably the last game I will ever buy from them. They said they would do EA right. They said it would be out by 2016. It's half way through 2016 and all the perks have yet to be released and they are breaking the game more and more with each patch. They do not know what they are doing.
All they know how to do is lie and build hype.
KF1 is vastly better than KF2. The only thing KF2 has going for it is graphics and gore. The hitboxes in aren't even better. KF1 had this easy simplicity to it and it made fighting zeds fun. The head bobbing simulator that is KF2 is not fun to play. Good fucking luck getting multiple headshots on a crowd of gorefasts with a shotgun as they all bob and weave their heads into and out of the line of fire.

Changed my opinion of Tripwire from being good though slow devs to being a sellout trash studio. Selling DLC and crates before the game is even finished is fucking disgusting. Never buying anything from them again.

uh no, it just reached 8, which is only one more than kf1. the core problem is that updates are piss slow, and they cant seem to balance for shit., or even designate proper roles to classes, everything is all over the place

Everything above Hard on KF1 was boring as fuck to play. HoE? More like Kite for 5 hours in a tediously boring parade of shit.
Zeds need less health and then there needs to be twice as many of them. Colts should come in packs of 20. They should be all killable with one well place shotgun blast.
I would much rather fight 500 zeds that die reletively easily than fight 250 zeds that need to be blasted in the face 5 times before they lose their head... only to continue walking forward for another 20 feet because decapitating something means nothing I guess.

Kids like you don't even remember how fucking broken and barren KF1 was during its launch. No Demo, no Lv6, no Husk, many perks had only ONE weapon for years, hitboxes and netcode sucked ass ... I could go on.
Yeah, it got a lot better later on, and I've put over 600h to it at this moment. however, KF2 has been VERY stable and balanced since the beginning, which is a good step up from the original. ADHD fags just are buttmad that it was not 200% bigger and better than the original day 1.

For a game that they themselves catalogued as "gun porn" that's a pretty nasty overlook. Also the perks have 4 weapons and 2 of them are useless.
And the maps are few. Also the physics aren't very good, even if they're extremely gory. The impact on the weapons do not reflect the PUNCH of the first for instance. Everything explodes in gibs randomly, the shotguns for instance, do not launch the bodies like heavy objects, but rip them like jello and then fall off.
The balance is off too. The Fleshpound was menacing in the first, right now is just a nuisance, whereas the Scrake lost its tank status and became the new FP.

it's not like KF1 where there were lots of large open spaces or areas to walk to.
go too far in KF2 and shit teleports in front of you. walk three steps and you're at the edge of that section of the map. you can sprint around one of the lager maps in under a minute. In KF1, it would take minutes to run around a map as a lvl6 zerker with nothing but a knife.
decapped zeds still walking at you worked well in KF1 since you could easily keep your distance. It was a part of the game to be able to kite. in KF2, you are punished for kiting well and all the maps are small and easily ran around. either you move too fast, or the maps are too small.
either way, you and the zeds get around too fast to be able to do anything. can't run away because teleporting. can't hold ground because they just keep waddling forward or there's shit coming out of the walls all around you. speaking of that last bit I typed, why does Tripwire think sitting in one spot all game is bad?
what the fuck else you suppose to do? sit right outside a zed spawn zone? why the fuck wouldn't you hold down in a spot that is easily defended?
the game isn't fun what with all the zed spanwers all over the place. when there were only 3 or 4 places zeds came from people in PUGs still had trouble keeping them contained. most games I play in KF2, no one is able to do anything since there's like 6+ zed spawn zones for every decently sized hold out spot.
in general, the maps in KF2 are fucking awful and ruin everything.
zed resistance ruined the game, literally half the classes don't do any fucking damage anymore
you must not have played with this sharpshooter update because the scrake goes down in like two hits of the railgun, and the first one stuns him long enough for you to reload

Literally no one likes or even defends the teleporting. It is an awful mechanic that should have been removed month 1.
Instead it's still here, a year later.

Because without it, zeds would get stuck everywhere because Tripwire still, in this day and age, can't fucking figure out how to do pathfiding for NPCs.
KF1 had this problem pretty bad. Zeds getting stuck in spawns and stuff holding up rounds. Their solution? Make them teleport to you when you get away from them.
That's not really a bad idea, if they teleport behind you somewhere so you can still kite.
Nope, the geniuses at Tripwire thought having them teleport in front of you was better.
Fuck kiting am I right? Seems to be what TWI thinks. But they also dislike players sitting in one spot and holding down.
So what is it TWI? Kit, hold down a spot, or what? What the fuck are players suppose to do is you punish them for doing either of the two options open to them? There is no third option of flying up in the air. You either sit still or run. Yet both are punished.
Why?
Because TWI do not know what they are doing. They just slap shit together and hope it makes money.
They also lie a lot so that helps.
I just played it a while ago and its a lot better since I last played it. More maps and it has the fucking sharpshooter at last.

John Gibson you fucking idiot. He has to be the fucking prick holding everything up, team members have made tons of weapons on their own time as fucking mods, what is slowing them down when they are supposed to actually be working?
Im so bored with the perks like, holy shit, Commando is boring because you're using the same 2 weapons all the time, the Support has 2 shotguns that work the same until the AA12, and the other perks are underwhelming. The Firebug isn't as messy and crispy as the first one, it doesn't feel like you're shooting FLAMES but a 1 second sprite in front of you and that's it. Berserk is bad overall and not very rewarding.
Haven't tried sharpshooter since i gave up with the game many months ago. Might as well try it again but i can't point out why is the fun gone since it's almost the first one remade. Something just doesn't click the same.
Also Tripwire are scumbags and already working in another title without finishing this one. People warned me, they warned you about them, and still fell for it.

Be it console, guardrails- they jump on any obstacle be they cysts, bloat, husks, fleshpounds, making any place that isn't flat a deathtrap because they spazz out around every piece of decor.

That is another annoying shit mechanic. They also walk right through doors that are open so if you're walking down a hallway and there's an open door on the side, suddenly a gorefast or some shit with pop right out of the door and hit you. They utterly butchered doors in killing floor. They are not helpful at all, it is best to weld them all a little so zeds can knock them all down and get them the fuck out of the way

M8, with the stun perk (@lvl 10) you stun scrakes in 2 M14 shots, funpounds in 4-6 depending on how quickly you shoot. If you have a mando/support/medic next to you big zeds can't even get close to you.

I am a HUGE fan of the first one, pic related.
But the 30 minute playthrough they showed off years ago looked not-fun to me. The zeds all shared too close of a resemblance to each other, as opposed to how easy they were to identify by silhouette in KF1.
Tried KF2 during a free weekend and wanted to like it, but quickly learned to hate it. So many things I loved from the original are absent or changed in KF2.
Glad I didn't pay for it. Sad it wasn't a worthy successor to one of my favorite vidya ever.

Tried to like it since I loved the first one, but it just feels cheap to me.
They hate fun. They went out of their way to block chat wheel mods, model mods, and their magic code blocked people from replacing Patty's song with abandon all for months because for some reason it didn't obey the same rules as all the other songs in the game.

Tripwire have killed it. When it first launched it was great and promising but now it's still in early access six months after it was supposed to be finished and is expected to remain in it for another six. They've fucked the game's balance completely and implement new content at a ridiculously slow speed.

I think it's more fair to blame Tripwire's perception of the console market. It's another case of them trying to appeal to a wider audience while abandoning what the already establsihed community wants. Unlike RO2 though I don't think they are going to reverse course this time or at least not until it is far too late to save the game.

I loved making maps in KF1 and trying the mods out of the servers, but never thought about the cash shop interfering directly with the modding scene until now. That may be the reason they're blocking anything that looks like fun.
Also wtf, KF1 enemies had silly banter and voice acting adn this one has none. It had the Hillbilly Horror event and Christmas Event that showed it was all about a silly edgy horror flick like Grindhouse or 90's movie.
Yeah, they sure are pandering to consoles. And who can blame them? All that feedback from the console players so far in early access vastly outnumbers the amount of pc player feedback.

It's shit. The soundtrack is shit. The characters do not have banter anymore between them. The ZEDs do not talk. The weapons aren't there. The perks aren't there. The maps are few. The modding potential is halved. Pathogen and Abandon All aren't in the game. The Fleshpound sucks. No new zeds. Microtransactions added before a real update. Still Early Access despite being a year.
But the worst of all is that they already ABANDONED IT FOR ANOTHER DEVELOPMENT.
It's real shitty. But TWI lost all credentials and points they had for KF1. And that's a long fall.
