I think Kojima wanted us to take ownership of what the mood should be during this scene, which was nice, because he usually dictates a lot of the emotions in his games.

That isn't the ending, just the ending of Quiet's arc. You don't play that mission if she's dead.

This whole game pretty much. What a disappointment. It's a shame, as the gameplay was arguably the best out of all of the games. But the whole game just feels like it's completely unfinished. There are huge pieces of the story that just aren't there.

It is unfinished though, you can watch the cutscenes for an entire chapter that was cut from the game.

Scene with Quiet where you dance in the rain with her.
First time you go down to the prison and see Quiet locked up in a cell.

Literally the only good scenes with Quiet are the ones where she nearly kills herself getting the kid's stuff out of the chlorine pit, and her breaking out to help you fight the tanks. Everything else is cringey as shit and is clearly Kojima forcing Stefanie Joosten on us.

I know those templates, from Nexus? I DM'd him requesting just a quick minute step-by-step txt file or video tutorial or something for me to follow, and he basically gave me a nice big "Fuck off."

The shower shit and playing in the rain were fine by me because they were clear and pure service fodder and fulfilled their function as such. But I cringed hard during the action scenes with her because most of those scenes made no sense from a story point and were clearly put in there just to show off her superpowers. Like look at the scene where she first comes to Mother Base. She jumps off a helicopter, turns invisible, turns visible, starts beating up dudes, fuses in and out of handcuffs and none of it makes sense if you ask yourself what is her actual goal here. What is she trying to DO, other than show off her powers? The scene makes no sense.

The entirety of FFX is cringefest though

The car ride was fucking shit. I thought this was something that everybody agreed on.

It might have been okay if it wasn't so clear that they made it the wrong length. Skeletor talks at an exaggeratedly slow pace and even then it ends with like three full minutes of uncomfortable silence while music plays because the car ride is just too fucking long. And the fact that Snake says nothing the whole time makes it just goofy.

I always get the impression with Kojima, that he's pretending to be a movie director in his games, but he's just not that good at it.

I agree with the shower scene being cringey OH SHE IS A NAUGHTY GIRL, but I don't get what's up people's asses with the playing in the puddle one, I thought it was pretty cute

It will be the ds2 of the souls series.

Basically just take those templates with your custom textures, convert them to DDS with a DDS plugin for PS or something, then use ftex tool to convert them into an ftex/ftexs format, then just repack them into the texture0 file or whatever using the QARTool.

Just make sure the DDS format has no alpha.

The actual hard part about all of this is how unfriendly the ftex and QAR tools are, since they're very rough and command line based. It's annoying doing it over and over.

There is hardly anything in MGS that is remotely complex.

But I'm sure they'd find a way to cater to your typical potato.

This is such a shit example where ppl just jumped on the meme-train. It's clear in the scene that they are intentionally laughing in a cringe way and they even laugh at themselves for it. That's the point of that scene.

Borderlands 2 was somewhat painful, I'd rate it 60% cringey humor, but Boderlands The Memequel... Have you played it? 110% cringe.

Teens do cringeworthy stuff. I actually liked that aspect about Life is Strange.

On the other hand though, military outcasts like the ones in MGSV usually don't act like total retards.

Set the tools as default programs for opening the corresponding files. Then you can just double click on the file.
