I did upgrade a couple days ago. So far it seems alright but if goes to shit i have 30 days to go back to 7. Also, don't keep anything even remotely important on the desktop. Not in a folder on the desktop, not a file, nothing.

Being Anti Windows 10 myself. I said fuck it and upgraded. I feel that i made a good decision by going from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Faster boot times. Installing Windows 10 from a clean state is so much easier than Windows 7. Dont have to install updates that take days. I went with the classic way of having a local account, instead of using my Microsoft account. I cant comment on 8 or 8.1 because i skipped that shit. If you are paranoid about privacy, just remember you have no Technology privacy in modern times. Anything you own that is internet connected, your information is being sent to who ever developed that device. Even with them saying we are not collecting your information. IMO Linux is shit, Just because its free does not make it the best OS.

I upgraded quite a while ago, and personally I've never had any problems with it at all. The interface is quite a bit better than 8, and everything seems about as stable as it was with 7 (stability was one of the main reasons I stuck with 7). I definitely don't think it's bad.

My only concern is the stuff I've heard about 10 messing up your license number somehow, but I still have my windows 7 disc lying around.

That's would only be an issue if your CPU is slow as shit and have less than 4gb of RAM. On anything else it will help because you'd see less swapping ram to disk.

That means Win10 may be slower than Win7/8 on 6+ years old notebooks, but not on anything recent.
