So, which was the better game?

So, which was the better game?

LISA

Undertale

Is this even a question? Also, can someone make a wallpaper version of this?

LISA had the better story, humor and gamplay.

UnderTale has the better music.

/thread

How are they even similar?

Undertale is a far better game, with story characters and gameplay.

Play both.

This. There's also no excuse for undertale not to run at 30 fps.

No time for both.

they came out around the same time and are both rpgs. People tend to blame Undertale for LISA's lack of success.

Nigga what
LISA came out in late 2014, in December, Undertale came out in 2015, mid September. That's like 9 months apart

What dimensions?

>LISA had the better gameplay
come on now

Undertale came out 9 months after LISA, the main thing holding LISA back in the main stream was the amount of taboo shit in the story. While Undertale was basically "Is killing people really okay?", LISA said "Fuck it, this is life now, deal with it" and several normies weren't wanting to hear that.

1920 x 1080
Im basic

Freedom Planet.

Nah the main reason it wasn't popular was because of the themes in the game such as rape. Sjws got triggered by that and kinda blacklisted it for gamers.

undertale is barely a game. that said, i like it better

Neither, they're both gimmicky shitty indie games

Here ya go senpai

Meh, Undertale came out almost a year later and by October was the monster hit it was.

In comparison LISA still managed to do fairly well but overall obscure. If it didn't get famous by then nothing would've.

The large reason Undertale was popular and LISA wasn't is because Undertale was more childish and "of all ages" which also allowed many Let's Players to latch unto. In comparison LISA's story was far from family friendly and popular Let's Players didn't really latch unto it because it would put of most of their audience.

Simply put Undertale was Spielberg and LISA was Kubrick.
>inb4 someone gets triggered from that metaphor
Undertales bullet hell idea was really interesting and fun but what sold it to me is LISA huge number of party members and how you can mix and match them for different strategies assuming you don't just use Easy Mode Birdie.

While the bullet hell section of Undertale was fun, once you played the game first time round it doesn't really change much and becomes repetitive.

I love you thank you

Undertale had better gameplay concepts, better music, and even better story concepts, but completely wasted its potential and rushed the entire last 1/3rd of the game.

LISA had worse gameplay, story concepts a bit more overdone, and music that was mostly just edits of already existing songs, but absolutely went as far as it could with everything it had and ended up being a better game overall.
Also, it had better art. I liked both games a fuckton, though.
Except for the Joyful. Fuck Buddy.

...

Undertale was a fun experience, but apart from alternate endings,It had no replay value because of It's complete lack of challenge with the only exception of sans and edgy undyne, shame too,the battle system was interesting, here's hoping for hard mode.

Lisa has a well construct atmosphere that feels so well blended,no winterland Into volcano palace, and I can appreciate the set theme.
The story Is way more engaging as the game forces you to do Brad's dirty deeds, whereas In Undertale, you can get away with rainbows and sunshine, now that's not a bad thing to enjoy, but the possibility of making everything sunshines and lollipop dosen't engage me as much.
The gameplay Is generic, but the challenge Is there and the movesets are funny In their bootleg being.

I like Lisa more.

I really liked the decisions you had to make in LISA. Who ended up with a nipple in their inventory?

...

LISA's major flaw gameplay wise was how easy it was to compensate for the ease of killing off party members. Sure you CAN make several teams that can have synergy with each other, but when the big bosses can be brought down fairly easily with anybody, it doesn't intrigue enough people to want to think outside the box. If hard mode made the game actually hard, it would have been near 10/10 gameplay.

Most everyone I would assume.
As fucked up as it was I doubt most people would be willing to kill their whole party for that.

I always give it to Mad Dog before putting him back on the bench.
I don't want it in my inventory.

OP I think you mean

I like to think of LISA and Undertale as being like yin and yang
Both are Earthbound inspired RPGs
Undertale is a goofy game that gets into grimdark moments while LISA is a grimdark game that includes goofy moments
Undertale also references a shojo series (Mew Mew Kissy Cutie being a stand-in for Tokyo Mew Mew) while LISA has a pretty heavy Fist of the North Star vibe
player choice and their consequences affect the plot more than gameplay in Undertale while the opposite is true of LISA
Undertale prominently features a prominent lesbian couple while LISA references homosexuality and manrape a couple of times
Naturally, Undertale was the one that's easier to "market" to the general internet public than LISA, due to some of the above and having more shipping bait than LISA

UNDERTALE
>Better gameplay
>Better characters
>Better music

LISA
>Better overall plot
>Better way of handling morality
>Sadder feels
