Woah! Star Citizen looks AMAZING! I preordered it and you should too if you value quality entertainment :)

>Sup Forums said it was never coming out
>Sup Forums was wrong once again
lmao

Literally vaporware

Nice try but thats No Man's Sky

It's clearly Starmageddon 2: Project Freedom

Nice try but thats Angry bird

actually its the new Starbound update

It's Starmade you stupid cunt.

No way... is this... the power of the PC?

I'm proud of my investment

It's that new starcraft custom map everyone is talking about

No... no, no, no.
Are those in game currency or real USD?
Please tell me it's not the latter

Youre not a poorfag are you

real dosh

So this is the power of the "Master Race". By God.

>pay for a subscription
>it's still pay to win

Are you living under the rock? The ships are always bought for real money. That's the main reason it gets so much flak: they were selling ships for thousands before they could even show them in the hangar, let alone fly them

How many level of irony are you on?

You are fucking cancer.

>Bigger means better

that refund though

19 thousand dollars for a digital content? What the flying fuck. How dare you fags complain about 5 dollars bikini suits for DoA5 when you are spending literally thousands of dollars in fucking spaceships.

Just applied the 9th one

>$18,750
wat

Literally worse than Griffith.

>In stock

There are apparently a lot of NEET sons of rich oil barons.

NEET sons of rich oil barons who spend their time playing space sims?
Holy fucking shit how many people play Star Citizen daily? 4? 4 rich kids?

It's alright m8

Somewhere out there is a moron that has dropped a year's salary on SC pre-orders. He'll get the game and he'll love it...for a week or two. Then he'll get bored of it. He'll try to play it, try to have fun. But eventually the truth will sink in.

Try to enjoy his suffering.

All of those ships bought with real money can be earned by playing the game, there's nothing exclusive about the packages except lifetime insurance, which isn't even that great considering it only insures the chassis and you can just pay for it with game currency anyway

thats not star citizen
thats battlefield infinity

Shame they don't offer a 7 day trial or something.

nigga there have been multiple week trials free for everyone

>mfw me and my band of f2p pirates are going my steal a ship worth tens of thousands of dollars

>giving a single fuck about how someone spends their money.
Pathetic desu.

>$18,750
You could buy a relatively nice new car for that amount.
You could fund someone's comfortable life for a year with that money.
You could buy friends and prostitutes with that amount of money.

>implying they will ever let you do that

Correction; you can rent prostitutes and friends

>f2p
It's not a f2p game user.
If he spent 18k funding a videogame he's probably making bank either way.

This is CoD Infinite Warfare, kiddo.

>add to cart
>people too stupid to realize he's looking at the store menu and not his hangar.

I wonder how many poorfags settle for Wing Commander over the Completionist. Anyone who does that should, instead, kill themselves on the spot.

>implying you won't be able to steal ships

The reason why this industry is filled with jews and jewish practices it's because people like you see no issues with selling a piece of dlc for 18 thousand USD.
If the devs see that there are people who support this shit willingly then it will only encourages them to push this crap even further.

...

You can absolutely do that and the whales cry about it all the time on the forums, devs don't give a shit

That's Call of Duty you assholes.

It's the Jew's yet again.

I hope you step on a lego

But it's not the same thing.
He is funding the game and getting something in return.
Players will be able to get what he has by playing the actual game when it's finished circa 2053.
They're actually making pretty good progress and recently demonstrated atmospheric flight models.

that aint freelancer
that's freespace

thanks for the spicy meme

What do you DO in Star Citizen? I know there's an FPS portion, obviously flying your ship around, assuming there's space combat.

If it's a game where you can fly around hundreds of planets in a ship, fighting aliens and other players, and trade stuff in a market, then it sounds like what Destiny should have been. Am I getting this right?

ayy

don't be rude please.
I'm browsing Sup Forums with my wife's son and he doesn't need to see this type of filth

...

I FUCKING KNEW IT!

That is what it's supposed to be, yes.

Too bad their persistent universe is going nowhere so for now it's dogfighting and shooting in fps mode.

You can do all that, yeah. There's a heavy focus on an organic player-driven economy, so you can do comfy space trucking or go to the frontier and shoot aliens. Or shoot the space trucks if you like. Or survey new systems or salvage derelicts. There's meant to be a lot to do.

You disgust me

immunity cat

So you are paying thousands of dollars to play a game that is nothing but shooting?
Great stuff there

How much does it cost?

ree

>PU is going nowhere
Read the devlogs instead of lying on the internet user.

I think it can be best described as E:D but with ships you can walk around in. Also FPS stuff.

I know... It just hurts me as an upper middle class dude seeing that amount of money being spent on e penis length in an unreleased game.

I mean. The dude has every right to spend that money how he sees fit, I just think I am in physical pain right now at the thought of it. Hell. I spend a lot of money on my hobbies but if I ever spend that much on pixels at one time I think I would also seriously be considering suicide.

No you are paying maybe 30 or 40$ to buy the game and get access to a basic fighter. Then you can gather credits and buy more expensive ships with ingame credits.

Or you pay thousands of dollars to get the other ships instantly, if you're a humongous retard.

minimum $40 or something.

Fuck that. If I had that kind of money to burn I'd buy whatever the fuck I want.

damn

>On e penis
Are you 14 years old?
The most proable scenario is that he's part of a big corp in eve and that they pooled money together.

I read the devblogs occasionally and nothing significant has changed.

Last I checked you can do exactly two 'quests' in their mini PU and there is still no trading or economy.

you usually ask a question with this kind of shit user

>they haven't added that thing i want yet to the pre-alpha build so the game is vaporware

It's almost as if there are rich people out there who find dropping 6k to be the same as dropping $6

There's a fully voice acted story quest line, and there's a procedural quest to undo criminal player's actions shutting down comm relays, which also has voice acting.

The trading part with NPCs is half in, you can gather salvage to get cash to buy guns with.

Whilst I know this is a bait post, I'm actually really happy with my SC purchase. I got the cheapest pack, before they split the game from the single player bit (so about £17 paid), and it has been really fun.

Arena dog fights are good, you can rent really cool ships for in game currency, and I love the races - absolutely wet dream territory. Space ship racing is my calling in life.

>Planetary landings in alpha stage
>Atmospheric flight with separate flight model recently demonstrated
>Alot of progress on multi level ships.
>nothing is happening.
Just kill yourself famalam.

But why asking for literal thousands of dollars? How can you justify those ships costing the same of a real car?
It's in game content. Pixels, textures, wireframes. Its a piece of digital content created by a guy who gets payed 700$ a month.

That shit right there probably didn't take more than a week to be fully modeled and textured.
And the argument of "the guy needs to get his money back".

First: He is already selling the game. 40$ to be exact.
And second. How much did the game cost? Gazillion of dollars? Is that why he is asking for dozens of thousands of dollars for in game content?

Where is the justification besides "oh, it's a game made for elitist, pretentious idiots"

It's already mindblowing to know that this shit exists. Even more jaw dropping to know that there are people who actually spend this amount of money in digital content for a fucking video game

So even with millions up in millions there's no way this game can reliever right?

Because even though I wouldn't spend a dime on early access ship if that game is like what people are saying dog fighting space economy exploration that part sounds pretty fun.

>That shit right there probably didn't take more than a week to be fully modeled and textured.

Then you're extremely naive.
Most of the flyable ships actually aren't finished to some degree, requiring being able to physically modify and repair in a future update and requiring modelling/animation accordingly, let alone the UI and immersion features.

...

You can't buy a nice /new/ car for that. You can get a new used car for 1.5-2 times that.

fuck off

>Make ship that is pretty much end-game because it requires a dozen people just to crew it
>Sell it for a lot because they don't want it flooding the game economy day 1 and people are willing to pay that much to fund the game
>Game is funded
>Hurr durr let's drop the price then and basically make it free, so not only does our in-game economy get royally fucked, but people who paid that much money for it get royally fucked over too

Do you even think before you type?

>shutting down comm relays, which also has voice acting.
I'm not sure why you emphasize voice acting so much. I've done this "quest" a few times and it's the same few lines every time.

that looks pretty cool, post more webms

Hey, retard, check out that green text. It says "in stock"

No, you have different audio logs, and exposition, at eat relay?

If you've been hearing the same lines you're bugged or something.

Topkek

>>Planetary landings in alpha stage
>>Atmospheric flight with separate flight model recently demonstrated
Cool, I guess, but maybe they should focus on the essentials first? All this screams to me is "all flash, no substance"

>>Alot of progress on multi level ships.
I've been hearing this for like a year straight.

each* fecking auto correct.

Maybe just unlucky and got the same one each time?

But it's nice to hear they're adding some variety. It's going to need a lot more missions though. NPC distress beacons, minefields, ship junkyards, stuff like that.

There's no audio logs at a relay but I forgot that audio logs do exist at some abandoned stations. Don't believe that's part of a quest though.

Planetary mining and being able to meet people without ejecting from your ship and floating around helplessly in zero G or meeting at location that is effectively PvP because anyone can "jump to" is pretty important.

The essentials for this game is pretty much get the AI working, get the backend servers and instancing working. Which is not related to engine devs, it's handled by the dedicated backend and AI teams.

But these things is a major part of the game, without them it would be an empty void like E:D.

bazooper

cod always has sections like this, it's on rails and all you do is press shoot and nothing else

Multi-level ships are the not the same as multi-crew ships.
They've actually shown off the latest version of the Bengal Carrier, which by itself is effectively as big as Port Olisar, or bigger. It has multiple floors just for the flight deck and a huge elevator shaft for moving multi-crew bombers into position etc.

Before it was just one of those bombers becoming flight ready.

Planetary landings are not a major part of the game. Functionally it makes no difference if you can fly down to a planet manually or if you get a loading screen.

Atmospheric flight sounds nice if they allow you to dogfight or explore an interesting planet so that would indeed be a major part of the game. Assuming they don't fuck it up like NMS.
