Because they didn't properly equip her and just ignored her. Give her a sniper rifle and set her to cover and she's great.

Why the fuck would I even need her for anything? Disregarding the stuff which requires you to use her, you can happily ignore her completely and play the game as you would on your own.

Not him, and its been a long time sine I played, but AI Sheva is a liability on Professional. The river boat section comes to mind as one segment that's borderline impossible with her since you'll likely die right out of the starting gate.

No. It's fucking horrible.
Only way to make Sheva tolerable is if you actively strip her of any gun that uses the same ammo as a gun you're using. If you make the mistake of, say giving a handgun to both characters (which is easy to make since you START WITH that setup), Sheva will waste all her ammo, then dash around collecting all the ammo pickups for herself so that she can waste her ammo some more.
Non-enemy AI that requires you to change your playstyle just to cover for the AI's bullshit is not okay.

I've played through 5 at least four times and I still have no idea how to properly deal with Reapers
I just keep shooting at them with the Hydra shotgun until they stop moving
the reapers are the only part i really found shevas ai to be annoying, but they can kill you with their bullshit just as fast too.
