Are rhythm games dead?
The only ones that seems alive are Just Dance, Miku shit and the Taiko games
Are rhythm games dead?

hi
How was guitar hero live?
What rhythm games are there on ds / 3ds other than project mirai. I know there's like a final fantasy one? it any good?
don't forget elite beat agents.
>GH Live on the other hand is pretty neat and still getting new tracks regularly
You just backed the wrong horse. I'm waiting for DJ Hero Live now, because that'll really benefit from the FMV treatment.
There's the taiko games, they're good.
Armoknight is fun too, but is more like Rhythm Heaven, there's Rhythm Thief too, its ok.
If you like FF music, you will love that game, it also has DLC songs from Dragon Quest and TWEWY.
I like the chill episodes, idgaf about the lore or drama
>tfw warioware is dead
Yes that exists, heard very good things. I'll go look up what kinda music is in it, it's like jpop or something?
DLC TWEWY songs, you have my interest, never played FF and only played DQIX so I'd have to look up some music to see if it's worth, which one was that, rhythm thief?
Rhythm games are fun but there's not much ways to improve the genre.
I still hop on to DJMax Trilogy when I have nothing else to do though. It's one of the few genres I can keep playing and not get bored of.
>Rhythm games are fun but there's not much ways to improve the genre.
Why does the genre need to be radically improved?
I started playing Crypt of the Necrodancer recently. I'm terrible at it so far, but it's a lot of fun!
Theatrhythm Curtain Call
Ah dam, it only has two twewy songs. Jesus christ though, amazon says it has like 220 fucking songs, what the hell.
>There's an achievement that's basically win 10 games in a row in one sitting
Jesus Christ, the highest I ever got was 6
Project Diva/Mirai
Rhythm Heaven
Rhythm Thief
Theatrhythm
Deemo
Superbeat Xonic
DJMax Technika Tune
OSU
There's some other stuff in Japan only or less well known.
Rhythm games got ruined because companies thought the market could support multiple franchises with yearly releases.
Only the most hardcore of hardcore rhythm fans are gonna buy that. I bought rockband 1 and played it for 3 years casually. Meanwhile in that time frame rockband 2, rockband beatles, and a plethora of guitar heroes came out
I like Rhythm Heaven but I DON'T like WarioWare being relegated to cameo status in Megamix
Like fucking hell, how have we not gotten a 3DS game yet? Clearly RH just sells more or something
I've heard RH sells like shit, which is why it only got a digital release for megamix
It hurts man
What does WarioWare have to do with Rhythm Heaven? One is a rhythm game and one is a minigame collection. It seems rather strange to compare the two.
WarioWare had a cameo in the most recent rhythm heaven

25 games in 17 years and still going.
Meanwhile there's still PopN, SDVX, Museca, DDRA as already mentioned, Jubeat, and Nostalgia is on the way.
From other companies there's Chunithm Air, Crossbeats, and Groove Coaster. PIUs still alive too. There's a new DJ Max coming to PS4.
There's a bunch of other portable shit which I don't even care to remember.
Nothing will match the boom cycle of GH and RB in terms of Western presence. The genre is far from dead though. You just need to know where to look.
They're made by the same people, user.
Still mad that they haven't even attempted a more traditional WarioWare game with the Gamepad or 3DS. A fusion of the best parts of Touched and Twisted would make my dick rock-solid.
Fuck. Just make "WarioWare Megamix" and call it a day.
Looks like we're fucked either way brah
