Resident Evil had a few spooky games early on. Honestly can't think of a game that's nearly as spooky as SH though. Even PT was a hell of a lot scarier than the Resident Evil demo.

You've definetely haven't played SH3 in a while. You can escape from this motherfuckers, but they will often block your path and sometimes get you stuck, because the colission in this game is fucked up.

Oh so that is your only issue? People grossly overstate how bad backtracking and escorting really is. It's not that bad. It's forgivable for most games that do it.

It's a flat level with nothing to do in it, except finding the right path and the right door. It's boring as fuck.

None of the games are scary. Only a pussy gets scared at a video game. With that said I do admit I have had a nightmare before with certain SH enemy/boss but am I peeing my pants while playing the games? Never have, never will, never would.

I like the spooks in SH4. Some of them are done right. The apartment haunting is a pretty nice touch. In fact the apartment in general is a very nice touch.

I agree. I can appreciate the horror aspects even if they don't scare me much as I play the game. The scares that work best for gameplay are jump scares. However I appreciate the atmospheric horror SH goes for.
