If nobodies arent supposed to have feelings, why does organization XIII show more emotion than the protagonists?

Because Kingdom Hearts is a terrible, mismatching clusterfuck of a series where the writers just throw shit onto the wall and see what sticks.

Hack fraud syndrome.

honestly from my experience playing 2. It feels like mickey mouse and sora are the actual bad guys. They just show up and kill heartless to become "real people". Mickey mouse shows up and doesnt like them for some reason. Then he goes and tells sora to commit genocide because "they dont even have feelings! They're cold killing machines!"

any game plot where you find your self saying "I think Mickey Mouse is the real bad guy" shouldnt be taken seriously

Yeah but the organization went about it by antagonizing sora and by extention hurting others. In some of the worlds they went to, they had no problems sicking heartless on people or trying to turn others into nobodies who'd help them, as well as heartless to be slain.

It's established in KH3d that nobodies actually grow replacement hearts and that Mansex was just tricking them all into thinking they still didn't have hearts. It's a shitty retcon to patch a big plot hole, but hey, it works.

It's not really a retcon I'd argue since while they didn't show emotion in Chain of Memories, they showed a lot in 2. Saying Xemnas was lying to them in order to further his purposes makes a lot of sense.

I thought Axel made it pretty clear nobodies can have feelings.

It was revealed in 3D that they did actually have feelings.

wong wooong

I don't even care about the plot i just play KH games for the combat, disney shit and cheesy lines that I can spam quotes for in threads

Got it memorized?

>Because Kingdom Hearts is a terrible, mismatching clusterfuck of a series where the writers just throw shit onto the wall and see what sticks.
FPBP. The story makes no fucking sense.

As Tvtropes would put it "Becoming the Mask"

The twist in DDD was that nobodies had feelings the whole time, Xemnas needed them to have a reason to want a heart so he fed them lies

tl;dr Xemnas is a dick

Iirc Axel or Saix said something about how nobodies draw on their memories for their emotions.

They have memories of what it is like to feel and use those memories to try and replicate it. This is stated several times. Eventually they start to grow new hearts, which makes perfect sense in the KH universe where a literal journal can grow it's own heart.

If you think anything about this is reaching or bad writing like this post , you're a moron. There is no nice way to put it.

>he doesn't know what it's like to express extreme emotion yet be distanced from it

This is literally explained to you.

Nobodies can remember their past as complete humans, and use those memories to draw upon "emotions."

This also serves as foreshadowing for the reveal in DDD that Nobodies can grow a replacement heart
Wherein Xemnas literally says "you rub a couple memories together and you get a spark of emotion"

But I guess the answer you're looking for is that Nomura's a hack

Not really established, just confirmed after four games of hints

They mimic how they acted when alive.

They remember how emotions feel.

All they have are memories but the emotions they display, generally, are not genuine.

There are some special cases I believe. Like Axel likely due to his connections with Roxas.
