I only have Bloodborne for the ps4. I will probable play Uncharted 4 soon. But that's about it. Was thinking of getting FFXV but if it's gonna be on pc, i wont buy it for ps4.

One of the main reasons seems to be that exclusive titles are limited in this gen of consoles. If you have a PC then there's little point to console.

But for the people who only play games on consoles, then there's a healthy selection imo. (witcher 3, uncharted 4, remastered games, dark soul 3, fifa/pes...)

This generation is definitely shit, despite buying all three consoles I only own like 7 games this gen, 1 being a re-release.

Taking in consideration of your image, yeah. I have found no reason to buy an Xbone yet and with "gaming on windows 10" becoming a thing, probably won't ever buy one.

PS4 has been a very boring ride. It's like a roller-coaster with one loop in it that takes 6 months to ride, because that's how often it takes for the PS4 to get anything worthwhile.

Plenty of good games released this year alone, I can't be even be assblasted over Persona5's delay because I still have so much shit to play from previous months and Q3/Q4 are so full of stuff too.

Unless you ONLY like western games, you should be having a good time. EDF4.1 and GB3 alone got 250~ hours out of me. PC-only friends seem to be enjoying EDF4.1 right now and the PS4 got about a dozen decent AA games just in these past months.

Besides Sony sucking complete ass, this generation has been pretty cool. I'm definitely glad it's getting extended with the Neo/Scorpio and Nintendo is completely dropping the Wii U for the NX.

It's still okay. PS2 was my favorite generation of games. PS3 gen seemed good, but I spent most of it playing mutiplayer games on PC, but I think I started to lose the magic some for consoles. Now I'm digging a lot of the games out and I really like playing Vita games. The Vita and PS4 has sort of brought back the childhood magic of console games.

I thought it was age as well, until I skipped out on a Xbox One slim and bought an XRGB instead. Now I am playing all my old consoles and having a blast.

Yeah I am playing my favorites from childhood, but I am also playing several games I never touched before; games I only knew about. There was a lot in the PS1/Saturn/N64 era. While they aren't all winners, some of them, like Strider 2, are far more fun than most things I have played on the Xbox One/PS4. Really diggin early 3D games right now and was playing a lot of SNES/Genesis games before that. Glad PS1 and PS2 games are still cheap right now, to. Saturn things seem to be climbing which is annoying, but I already got most of what I wanted.
Point is, gaming isn't lackluster now, it's the industry that is. Keeping in mind a few exceptions, like Bloodborne, it seems most newer games go by the: the play it safe/we want the CoD audience/make sure newcomers feel welcome mantra. I mean, I get why games became that, it does have more mass appeal that way, but in order to do that you basically have to avoid doing anything that would make games interesting or exciting to people who have already been playing them for the last 20 years.

Sucks, but that's what happens when an industry gets too big. Used to bother me, but it does less every day I play an old game I never have before. I honestly don't care what direction the industry goes now. Fuck it all.

Not really. PS3 had nothing good out. Even PS4 upcoming games for 2016-2017 look far better than anything that came out in the same time frame as PS3. 360 is kind of the same deal only better multiplats.

I feel the exact same. All the games I play now are 5th gen and below, and it's not because of nostalgia there's an obvious care put into these games not only created for the sole purpose of money. Playing Shinobi 3, DKC 2, Rayman, Sin and Punishment, Thief. It's funny how miserable I was about the current industry when all I had to do was look back.

Nintendo launched with no desirable games and no third party, MS couldn't have possibly fucked up their reveal any harder than they did, and Sony got complacent with the easy win MS gave them. Now they're all looking to release new consoles so soon afterwards.

Combination of both. Games have become more of a business than ever before, so we have large teams designing them to make money for the widest audience, so that makes games less unique and memorable. At the same time, gaming just becomes less fun the older you get, less easily entertained, more problems in your life, you become aware it's a waste of time, friends stop caring.
