There's basically a Social Link-lite system, and getting a character to max Affinity lets you view an ending scene with them, with most of the female endings being romantic. Male endings are bromantic as fuck.

Only "villains" in games that I've ever really felt for were Junko and Byakuren. They literally did nothing wrong. I wish I could help them instead of fucking them over.

Byakuren is only a villian in the sense that she's the final boss. She did do some really shady shit in the past though and even now she's kind of misguided but she truly means the best.
