Listen OP, I was there too. The franchise is lost to us, its soul is gone and it's being overtaken by Kingdom Hearts. Almost everything about the newer games frustrates me immensely, and I laughed like a madman when the news came that the VII remake might be episodic. It was the first time I understood the people who seriously hope for a videogame to come out and be bad.
But you're trying too hard, and are accomplishing very little other than shitting up the board as result. There's the kid who shits its pants at school, and then there's the kid that does nothing else but remind everyone else of the time it happened. Both are shameful, but in different ways.

The combat of FF12 is what the FF series should have stuck with. Offline MMO memes aside, it's the most natural progression of the turn based battle system.

Played on PS4 and it has a quite a few dips every now and then especially near the gas station and in battles and still has framepacing issues. At least they fixed the input delay from PD

That NPC is actually a hologram, it's a feature.
I'd say it's almost a guarantee of it being successful by simple virtue that it doesn't have lightning in it or has nothing to do with XIII.
That offers people that either hate the XIII universe or don't care to enter a story by the midway point the chance to start anew.
But it's true that Final Fantasy doesn't have anywhere near as much brand strength as it once had. Toriyama saw to that.

The World of Final Fantasy game looks way, way, WAY better. I've yet to see anything from that game that has disappointed me like most of the recent shit for FFXV.
