>Handing over money before receiving a product and basing whether you will enjoy it or not from media designed to encourage you to preorder and leaving your expectations to run wild of what could be instead of showcasing what you will actually be receiving.
>AAA publishers laugh as they wipe their cracks with 100 dollars bills and whip devs into producing copy and pasted sequels every year
>You receive a husk of what the original game was going to be, content is cut and resold as dlc and microtransactions.
>The cycle continues
ITS TIME TO STOP
Henry Murphy
I wonder the same thing all the time, same for early access.
Elijah Mitchell
That's because it's all the casual retards who pre-order shit. The fine people on Sup Forums would never do that.
Would you, Sup Forums?
Jason Moore
>have never peordered anything ever Are you proud of me, user?
Jose Fisher
but i haven't ever preordered anything
Cooper Price
>have only preordered
John Williams
yes, you have a brain
proud of you
Angel Bell
>preordering games
Parker Gonzalez
This and hype culture need to be swiftly removed from existence
Ian Rogers
General audience is ignorant of said facts and don't consider the long term consequences of enabling corporations to cut games after pre-order or even use exaggeration or misinformation about said game and receive bulk of the profits through pre-orders.
Most people don't see entertainment in a critical and/or economical stand point. They just want a time waster and have very little quarrels when it comes to cutting out content or being lied to so long as the game isn't offensively bad and their time is effectively wasted enough. At the same time many individuals even form a bond with said corporation and will be overtly apologetic to their practices out of sheer consumer loyalty even if said loyalty isn't really warranted.
Ian Parker
normies buy into all the gamestop and retailer's constant bombardment of pre-ordering. sometimes even get small pathetic "bonuses" to pre order
Anthony Hughes
i've only preordered two games in my life
>Wind Waker for the GC
i got it for the Oracle of Time disc.
>Pokemon Moon
i can't defend this one. i could have gotten it cheaper at my work than at EB.
in both cases, i would have bought the games anyway.
Mason Morris
Preordering certain Nintendo games makes sense if you're a member of a "Gamer's Club" such as what Amazon and Best Buy are offering.
Unless they're real stinkers like Paper Mario: Sticker Star or Metroid: Other M, Nintendo first-party offerings take forever and a day to appreciably come down in price.
Nicholas Perry
Sup Forums Post of the day.
Samuel Walker
I want the shit that preorder bonuses give (only if it's physical, DLC costumes are ass). Also since I usually play on 3DS I can generally play a demo before the game's release and see if it's worth it.
Connor Martin
Only game I've pre ordered was Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin on DS.
Jack Foster
The only games that get my preorder(not charged by best buy til release) is Zelda, Mario and anything Kojima touches. Everything else can wait
David Wilson
I've only preordered games a couple games. Brawl and Dissidia.
Dissidia burned a lot less.
Juan Kelly
I preordered Demon's Souls. No regrets.
Brody Parker
I only pre order stuff that has a risk of running out of stock within the first day the pre orders open which almost never happens to be anything related to videogames that i actually want
Jacob Kelly
games never run out of stock
Christian Morris
I preordered F4, got the season pass, and enjoyed it. Stay mad
Nicholas Hughes
I pre order niche weeb games
Chase Nelson
Hello cancer my old friend
Ian Anderson
>>You receive a husk of what the original game was going to be, content is cut and resold as dlc and microtransactions. Joke's on you, I also preorder the season passes/dlc
Jason Price
Not him but I am. Good job so far.
Parker Kelly
Do you think Shenmue III would have gotten made without preorders?
Josiah Diaz
>Jokes on you You're wasting your own money...keks all round
Adrian Davis
Hey this post is really smart.
Brayden Baker
What's the most you've ever paid for a video game?
Me? I shelled out $13 for Skyrim: Ultimate Edition.
Aaron Gomez
I preorder games I was going to buy anyway, no matter how shit. the devs will never listen so why bother. like Pokemon. I'm getting sun and moon no matter how much I hate the new designs
Dylan Jackson
I only preorder shit I know won't disappoint me, not AAA garbage
I can't really recall a time I preordered a game and then wished I never bought it because if I have any doubts about a game I wait until after release
Anthony Murphy
I preordered Bioshock Infinite because the preorder bonuses were a few tf2 hats I sold for a bit of dosh, a slight discount, Xcom Enemy Unknown, and Bioshock 1 (I didn't own it on pc).
When it came out I loved Infinite and had zero regrets but I haven't preordered since because fuck taking that risk again.
Wyatt Bennett
I believe the only people CLAIMING they've predored something and tell that on the internet are 1. retards and 2.corporate shills.
Seriously, only retards preorder and definitely shills CLAIM so, just to trigger the retards.
Anyone with a a tiny bit of sense probably doesn't do it.
Connor Nguyen
Preordering games in general doesn't make sense. I have preordered games when there was a decent discount and preorder incentives, though.
David Morales
I used to preorder games all the time on PS2 since I got physical gifts with the game as well.
Asher Myers
Bruh I wouldn't do that with an 8th why would I do it for a game ahah DO YOU FEEL ME??
Aaron Peterson
only for niche games sometimes stock is low for those types of games
Camden Hall
Halo 4 also it was the limited edition and I regretted getting that piece of garbage.
Isaiah Turner
My whole life, I've only pre-ordered >Skyward Sword I had loved every Zelda game released by then, including the ones Sup Forums hates including Skyward Sword and I had a lot of trouble finding Twilight Princess just a few days after release, but I don't know if I'll pre-order BotW because I assume most people are going to want to play it on NX and I'm not sure if I'm going to be getting one at release yet.
>Zero Time Dilemma I had loved the last two games, felt obligated to after Operation Bluebird and I wanted to get in on the watch edition before they sold out Still haven't heard anything about when my watch is supposed to get here
>Rodea the Sky Soldier I didn't know how big the first run of the game would be and didn't want to miss out on what all signs were pointing to be the superior wii version.
Landon Barnes
At least with early access, you can play it and refund at anytime.
Henry Barnes
>if you didn't buy this in the first two weeks it came out you were basically fucked aside from scalper fucks
