The villain is actually great. Only people getting mad at him, are people that hate being played like a fiddle. No one likes to be rused, but is not like you are anybody in the game in Dilemma.
The main problem with dilemma is having 9 fucking perspectives, should have just made Sigma MC again, or Diana. Emotional attachments gets diluted when you are playing the entire fucking cast.

Man, 999 and VLR both had such a tightly crafted story, it makes me wonder how Uchi's mindset changed since writing the two games. With ZTD, he seemed to be inspired by tv-show style narratives and ditched all the subtle things he packed in the previous games.

You know, something about VLR was just no where near as engaging as 999 for me. The main driving feature for me was finding out if Alice really was the Alice.
Those voice clips and animations were shoddy as hell.

Absolute shit taste. Only people preferring 999 over VLR are nostalgia faggots. I cleared them in the same week, and while I rolled my eyes at 999, I was impressed with VLR.

In the end, Sigma was a more interesting MC than Junpei, and he had the more likable sidekick.

I just played both last week user. I have no nostalgia for 999. It's just the one that gripped me the most.

My only problem with VLR is the bombs. They are such a boring idea. And having to collect passwords for 4 of them? So stupid.
I don't mind remembering thigns from other worlds and getting passwords for the computer. But bombs are boring and having to get 4 of them... just so bad.

Story: I definitely prefer 999 over it. Makes more sense, no need to huge disbelief. I could go into more detail but I wouldn't. I DO enjoy the flowchart but I think they took it a BIT too far with the morphogenetic field... but I think VLR did have a great story

I think bombs is just a boring plot device, you know? I think they should have used something else to give a timelimit or something. I mean, sure, I get the point of them: To make you see many timelines, but I still found it cheap. It's my opinion though, and not something we can really change.

Saving Akane was better. We don't need earth shattering choices always. I don't mind Sigma setting it up to save the world. I LIKE VLR. And I wouldn't really compare it to 999 honestly, except this thread already started before I came.
I just prefer 999, though VLR did some great things.

Akane is a bitch, but I think the reveal of saving her was better than most other reveals in VLR.

While I loved ZTD, I was kind of annoyed how in both sigma's and junpei's party you were never in any danger of being betrayed. Being locked up and forced into a decision game is a lot less tense when you're with your friends.

I think 999 Clover became an enjoyable character in the true ending. Even in her "kill everyone' ending, she was pretty fun. Too bad she killed me. Junpei at least was smart enough to accept it.

The ending of the two games are too different to be compare.
