That David Bowie game?
Drift Stage
Drift Stage to me feels more Retrowave than Vaporwave.
This entire thread is a meme.
Mirror's Edge
I wonder what SUPERHOT would be like with some vaporwave
...
youtube.com
This is a thing.
this
none because vaporwave is a niche movement for stupid hipsters
this is all synthwave, which isn't vaporwave. educate yourselves
why hasnt this been mentioned yet
I liked the song they used in an earlier trailer.

This is amazing.
lsd dream simlualtor tbzqbqbqhf famfalamla xdDXD
I quite like vaporwave as an alternative low-intensity chill vibe to work out to.

PEPSIIIIMAAAAAAAAN
I dunno why but I agree with this
Also most n64 games

autism
VHS vs Betamax
>studio didn't opt out of licensed music for generic music
>its good
But that's the game of life user
cant find it sadly. it looked fun
Mugen
I love it when alt-right dipshits like you call everything 'autism'. Shows how little you know of the actual disease.
Here you go, bud.
Autist detected
...
Only autists care about the proper application of autistic.
It's like people who point out the difference between fedora and trilby. Or furry and brony. Which is funny, because everyone in the previous examples is also autistic.
Also, the Zelda CD-i games, and some other games

here is the correct answer
i feel like stuff like this misses the actual point of vaporwave
it's no longer genuine when you're not 'digging up' artifacts or samples that share the certain vaporwave aesthetic.
it's now just parroting memes that came about as a result of the movement and fandom.
thank you
is this vaporwave or city pop
youtube.com
where can i get more music exactly like this
I read your comment then was ready to hate that video but it seemed kinda legit
I knew it would be that track
>ctrl+f brigador
>no results
what is wrong with all of you?
Her Story
It's like what people from the 80's thought virtual reality would look like in the future
>10 years from now
>check out all these old abandoned kickstarters and patreons, so aesthetic
I would say NiGHTS into Dreams, but someone already posted it.
Thats a lot more work. Alternatively would-be developers would be afraid of facing legal threats if the ip owners figure out they are getting sampled which is admittedly unlikely, it would definitely stop me from starting because fair use is confusing as hell.
This meme is the stupidest and lamest thing I have ever seen.
There's apparently a vaporwave game called Broken Reality on kickstarter.
Because that's synthwave, not vaporwave.
Shut your mouth

what aesthetic is pic related? might be vaporwave not sure
if it were me I would make a pretty regular, cohesive game but in a style that would fit in with late 90's early 2000's games.
mashing a bunch of vaporwavey stuff together into one vaporwave simulator doesnt quite get the feel right, to me.
completely agree, its all just un-genuine cashing in on the trendy aesthetic
the only thing worse is neo-80's shit like kung-fury
>help someone give me words to tell me how im supposed to feel
This is neo-90's space jam retroesque aesthetic.
Sonic Dreams Collection remains the best vaporwave game.
Its neo--retro cyberwave
trinityinfinity.bandcamp.com
Does anyone have this shit downloaded? Can't find any mirrors, it was free before.
i know how i feel, i just want words to express it so i can find more of it
so does vaporwave just mean "things that from the 1990s that i dont personally remember but learned about through memes"?
any game from late 70s to 2001
>Read thread
>No LSD Dream Emulator or any Osamu Sato game
You people fucking SUCK.
hotline miami
It would be whatever Hotline Miami is but the music would be veeeerrry slow when not moving giving that vaporwave feel to it, then it sorta goes back to normal if you move a lot.
vaporwave is pretty broad, yeah. among it there are some vaguely defined subgenres.
to me it's just about creating a warped feeling of nostalgia.
the same way our memories skew and distort with time, the music is kind of warped and skewed. only the catchiest bits stand out and play over and over. its a look and feel and sound that things had at a certain time not too long ago and yet has long gone totally extinct.
vaporwave always struck me as kind of sad and isolating.
>youtube.com
Does this count?
artists like boards of canada were doing that 20 years ago and no one called it vaporwave then
Sit and Spin Adventure
youtube.com
yeah and oneohtrix point never.
artists like them are retroactively kind of credited with inventing it.
I agree that this game is aesthetic as fuck but man whoever's playing this is terrible
Is this aesthetic?

steamcommunity.com
There's also Mall Quest, but there's not much to that game.
You're best off just looking for games from that time period that focus on soothing visuals/audio.
>Is this aesthetic?
do you know what words mean
It's like urban exploring, but for shut-ins!
Is 140 an example of this style?
i genuinely enjoy the sound/feeling of vaporwaves but i don't buy into any of the 2deep for you shit. it's so calming that i can just take an hour or two out of my day to just do nothing but sit there and shill and listen

Arcane Kidz a best.
When are they going to finish their fucking skating game, though. Zenith was the tightest shit.
Actually tho
>Warped feeling of nostalgia
Well, that's part of it, but a huge element that people frequently miss is that it's also supposed to emulate a relaxing, feel-good atmosphere. Taken at surface value, it should put you at ease, make you feel comfy. When people only pick up on the "warped nostalgia" aspect of it, you end up getting this ham-fisted nihilism plastered all over glitch art, which is jarring as fuck.
I frequent /wg/ a lot and it's gotten to the point where vaporwave threads there are just a bunch of memers posting the same shitty photoshops of Japanese buildings with anime waifus and Arizona tea bottles, all run through a VHS lines filter. Feels fuckin' bad, man.
DELET THIS
That picture of the twin towers.
Where is it from???
I really want it.
