I still don't know how I feel about this game.

I'm glad Cap is trying something new, lest they become stagnant, but I was hoping for something more in line with REMAKE.

I'll still going to play this, but at this point, REmake 2 is what I'm most looking forward to.

REmake, RE2, and RE4 are my personal favorites of the series.

Early RE is my favorite part of the series. But I would wait to purchase this game or make any definitive assumptions yet. Capcom is obviously being a bit coy when it comes to the details of this game. The game can still end up being closer to the games you like than it may appear to be now, but the opposite can still be true too.

I fall in the category of people who want this to be REmake in first person, with the tapes acting as interact-able journal logs or notes.

well they probably don't want to put all their eggs in one basket when they're already making REmake 2, which I'm sure to them is still an unknown in terms of popularity seeing as REmake Remaster was just a port of an old game.

eh, it has weapons in it, so already it has more going for it than a game like Outlast.
