As people have already pointed out, it hit a dozen different sweet spots. There haven't been any localized VN releases for a while and outside of the likes of Deus Ex, cyberpunk games have been minimal for a good few years now.
Yuri shit in VNs is common as muck, and Valhalla isn't exactly trying to be SJW in terms of representing LBGTs or whatever (there's a couple of characters who take the piss out of that kind of thing, mind you).
There really isn't much of a point of comparison with Undertale at any rate.
