Are you the same guy from the that came out of nowhere and did all the Lewd Elder scrolls lines? Also nice voice cutie Post Dick
Hunter Wright
The Dialogue is ok I guess. But I mean is it really that difficult to write a realistic conversation? Something so many games and even books and movies get horribly wrong.
Julian Jackson
>Are you the same guy from the that came out of nowhere and did all the Lewd Elder scrolls lines?
No, that's some other talented guy.
Thanks for the love, though!
You normally have to buy me a drink before we get into THAT. :3
Matthew Morales
Here is the other script.
It's passable dialogue, but it won't win any awards.
>industrious talent undercutting union faggots God, I love capitalism.
Cooper Jenkins
>Nolan North >David Hayter >Morgan Freeman
>These people are not rich.
Nigger do you even know what the SGA is?
Parker Lee
I respect SAG for the protection it affords talent, but the union's demands have become ridiculous and insulting.
If you're SAG and have a good agent, you'll spend no more than 6 hours in the booth per day and make $412 an hour for one character.
That means a standard 8-hour workday is considered overtime, which translates to over $1000 a day for booth work.
And to think that these fucks still have the audacity to go on strike for residual payments on video game sales.
Alexander Robinson
Where are the recording studios located? The impression I got was that both actors and voice actors spent a lot of their time travelling from place to place, be it for filming on location or recording at a specific studio.
Oliver Rodriguez
I nominate Manveer "Poo in Loo" Heir to voice "Space Shitter Alien #42".
Charles Price
I praise shitskins like this actually. If you normalize hatred to this degree against whites you literally create the racists of the future. These people have been saying "racists are gonna die out" for the last forty years but dumb muds can't keep their power level in check so whitey just gets mad all over again.
Ian Gomez
*leans back*
William Lewis
Will do these when I get back home. Looks like fun.
Jordan Lee
Trump won because for possibly the first time in US history white people voted as a minority bloc for their candidate of choice.
Jeremiah Green
And whites are now deflecting the word "racist" off them the same way every other race does. It's fucking amazing. The media propaganda has lost grip on the racial narrative entirely.
Asher Diaz
90% of booth and screen work is done in LA and NYC, which is why most SAG members live in one of those two cities.
Nevertheless, veteran SAG VAs have ISDN-equipped booths in their homes, so they can record remotely in real time if needed.
On the off-chance that an outfit like Ubisoft wants SAG talent in LA to record on site in, say, Chicago, transpo is usually in the contract.
Josiah Miller
>ISDN-equipped booths So these voice actors have to have closets in their homes just for voice recording?
Joshua Reyes
>veteran SAG VAs have ISDN-equipped booths in their homes, so they can record remotely in real time if needed.
Jesus, you're telling me these guys don't even have to leave the house to do their jobs?
Christopher Ward
your vocal fry is real bad don't try so hard to get so deep it comes off real amateurish because you can hear your vocal cords trying to settle into the fake voice and the beginning of a statement and you get voice cracks at the end. Also you can't naturally emote while you are putting on so much affectation
good if you didn't try so hard actually
Christopher Myers
If you're doing commercial work on the regular, you've got a studio in your home.
If you don't, you're at a severe disadvantage because you can't attract as many clients.
Acoustic foam and ISDN lines are the bread and butter of the VO world.
Logan Evans
If it allows you to make a comfortable living, I think it would be a good investment.
Sebastian Torres
>Know someone's who is pretty good at doing voices. Maybe I should let her know of the gig
Luis Bailey
>you're telling me these guys don't even have to leave the house to do their jobs?
DING DING DING DING
WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF SAG, WHERE GETTING $412 AN HOUR ON A UNION CONTRACT THAT YOU CAN PHONE IN IS "NOT ENOUGH"
Jonathan Perry
>Jesus, you're telling me these guys don't even have to leave the house to do their jobs? I think that depends how in demand you are. I know the Simpsons cast works from home now and still makes like a million an episode. God it still blows my mind a talent less comedian like Yeardley Smith stumbles on that role and is set for life and future lives of family. If she never got that role she would be doing casino comedy acts for 100$ a show. Also we were robbed more Hank Azaria movies since he doesn't have to work. That man is a literal comedic genius.
Hunter Wood
That's just where the entertainment industry is heading, it's pretty much winning the lottery nowadays where a handful out of a massive pool of equally talented people get set for life. RDJ makes 40 million per capeshit he appears in so you can kiss things like Tropic Thunder 2 goodbye.
vocaroo.com/i/s1uRCCcyq8vF Threw this together just before class. He comes across as a bit pompous so I did it with a british accent, but I think that messed up my tone a bit
Colton Bell
Nice work jensen.
Brody Miller
I think this entire strike's royalties demand shit is retarded, but as long as Bioware suffers, I care not. How's Insomniac?
Contrary to popular belief, voice acting is harder than screen acting because you aren't going through the physical motions of a scene.
That means you are selling scenes by connecting the emotion and honesty in your voice with what is supposed to be happening.
Your type of voice will limit what roles you can do, but your raw acting ability is what enables you to do those roles well.
Any aspiring voice actors need to read "A Challenge for the Actor" by Uta Hagen for an overview of basic acting techniques.
99% of acting theory is pretentious bullshit, but that book is part of the 1% of what you need to know to start selling scenes.
I could write for days about theory and techniques, but it all boils down to balancing honesty with whatever emotion is required.
Nathaniel Howard
It always amazes me how voice actors forget that it's still acting.
You're all terrible. Always terrible. Especially you OP
Benjamin Gutierrez
This is what I'm talking about.
This guy is completely independent -- no SAG membership or anything.
You could put him in the game, and his conversation would sound like a regular NPC conversation.
This is why the SAG strike is stupid as fuck.
Good job.
Levi Campbell
Thank you.
I'll be getting this book soon.
Evan Hall
I'm looking for VAs for my shitty indie game. Post your soundclouds.
Jaxon Reyes
Are you planning to sell your game?
Don't be one of those faggots who asks VAs to work for free but still plans to make a profit.
Hunter Roberts
obviously you'd be compensated
Connor Ross
I also forgot to tell you something important.
Stay away from Meisner.
He is responsible for every single pretentious arthouse phony in LA.
His books are a one-way ticket to Scientology-level brainwashing.
Jason Phillips
>on their latest SJW video game monument.
Their games are primarily shit because they are casual pandering bugridden EA shit. The SJW stuff is kept to a minimum for the most part.
Jace Foster
>demanding voice actors get permanent residuals from every copy sold >something not even developers get These faggots are such pieces of shit. I hope they crack and the union dissolves as they start scurrying for work to pay for their dumb lifestyle
That will never happen, but you bet your ass that we're going to see more production assistants posting non-union casting calls on VA websites.
I could go to a few places online right now and have all roles cast for an AAA game by the close of business tomorrow.
Every one of my actors would work for a fraction of SAG rates, too, and their sound and acting quality would only a bit less polished that what I would get from talent in an agent's portfolio.
holy shit i can envision you as a fucking diabolical south african dictator that punishes his enemies by putting zebra blood on their dick and throwing them into a pit of lions.
fuck, This would sound so much better if I had a clearer mic
still lol'd though
>MUH RHODESIA
Jaxon Carter
I wanted to go for this but I realized if I was good enough to do it and was chosen as the winner, i'd never have a chance of actually persuing a career in it because the Union would blacklist me.
Ethan Campbell
I scrubbed your audio a bit, but I just imagined your character as an alien with some kind of head apparatus that makes him sound remote.
Great effort on your part, though.
I can't believe a few guys on Sup Forums can produce shit that sounds better than big budget AAA studios.
why don't you go dub an anime you man of androgynous asian background
Kayden Russell
>Worried accuses Tough of splitting the take unevenly >Tough validates that the take is, in fact, 50/50 >Worried then tries to say they agreed on something else because of his family >Tough has to use an argument that was literally just used against him
Tough Mercenary had a hard life
Asher Reed
DUDE KILL WHITEY LMAO
Landon Bennett
shoulda said 50 slash 50 lad
Tyler Lewis
I wish I did, but he's dead.
Jonathan Thomas
SAG-AFTRA is only 4% of main voice actors in the game industry.
Joshua Carter
Does that mean I did good?
Connor Jones
-KL
Seriously though my dude, your voice is great
Xavier King
52% of booth work in the game industry is in Seattle and Redmond.
