>what's your favorite mission and why is it Hokkaido? >what features would you like to see changed? >what locations do you want to see in season 2? >have you killed the new ET yet?
I re-watched some alpha footage yesterday and got reminded that human shields and the briefcase were originally supposed to be part of the game. What the fuck made them take these excellent features out? Also you should have coins in your inventory by default, they shouldn't take up an inventory slot.
Locations I'd like in season 2: >Rio >Dubai >sport event >airport >New Year celebration party
Sydney opera house or parliament house. i would also like a target in a skyscraper. there needs to be another casino level again
Henry King
>skyscraper I'd like to see that too. Have you noticed how there are no elevators in this entire season, though? I've read somewhere that the engine has trouble with certain moving objects like the elevator. There are some incredibly stupid limitations holding this game back.
It's a shame because it feels like it was a step away from being the best Hitman game there is but BM still holds the throne.
Jace Howard
i have heard that shit excuse for not having elevators. because it runs off a newer version of glacier and im pretty sure absoluteshit had working elevators
Adam Smith
I wonder how a plane map would work out
>Little or no firearms, OSP like Hokkaido >And missed shots would lead to a hull breach, causing an instant fail state >Exiting the mission could simply be returning to your seat and waiting for the plane to land
Samuel Wilson
sounds incredibly limited like bangkok is now
Liam Harris
Anime Convention.
Jason Lewis
Yeah, considering how limited that is, the only other form of transportation I could think of would be a yacht. Hopefully it could be like Murder on the Missisipi but a larger scale yacht.
Ian Morales
I just don't understand how making a box that goes up and down is a challenge for anyone who calls themselves a video game developer.
Lincoln Collins
Also, fucking metal detectors. There's one in Marrakesh at the consulate entrance, but it doesn't even work. Why even include it in the game then?
For all the improvements they made, there are just as many dumbed down features. They had 10 years to contemplate on everything that made BM great and improve on the formula, but they still miss so many opportunities. I feel like the community has been very vocal about all the features it loved in the previous games, how hard can it really be to implement stuff that was in a 2006 game?
Jayden Long
As someone who started with Absolution, what makes Blood Money so good? I always hear people say it is the best game in the series.
>what's your favorite mission and why is it Hokkaido? Sapienza, because it has everything and is great for any game mode.
I don't really care which countries they choose for season 2, since the American voices ensure it will all feel like it's in the USA regardless. I'm interested purely in location types, like parties, corporate offices, and what not.
Michael Wood
its a real Hitman game.
If you liked absolution, I would recommend going back through the splinter cell games or something.
Grayson Hernandez
It's an actual Hitman game, for one. Absolution is a standard stealth game with Hitman systems grafted on.
Adam Wright
It's the same basic formula as the new game (big open sandbox levels), but with arguably better level design and more features, like elevators, a sniper briefcase, metal detectors, taking human shields, etc. The major advantage TM has over BM is more ways to kill and consequently better replay value. But with fewer levels. All in all, BM is still the best Hitman game but I'm very pleased with the new one as well.
Jack Martinez
I've had enough
Gavin Morales
This is a general. Fuck off to /vg/ Although we all know a Hitman general wouldn't last a day because no one but shills are about this.
Angel Williams
muh shitpost webm
Bentley Walker
>what locations do you want to see in season 2?
a sporting event. doesn't matter what sport. just as long as you can pose as a player and kill people in hilarious ways.
a bonus level that's purely about sniping, maybe remake the lee hong assassination or st. petersburg stakeout. its all about getting the perfect shot. bring back the draagunov for it. no suppressor either.
a level on a moving train.
Nicholas Ross
muh can't the facts reply
The game is pure fucking garbage and we're all sick and tired of the shilling
Elijah Gonzalez
>that advanced AI thinking it's part of the fashion show >only the models reacting because they know it's not
Woah
Juan Morales
Bethesda hasn't been able to stop interactable objects from falling through terrain since 4 console generations ago. Go figure.
Ethan Sanchez
the original poster has been btfo so many times I can only assume you are falseflagging to bump the thread
Isaac Mitchell
>still not fixed.webm >webm is months old >it has actually been fixed >shitposting this hard
Carter Martinez
>we're are you trying to speak for everyone
Robert Lewis
Newer hitman only wins it out for me on the stealth system, blood money suit runs always felt like I was taking advantage of something broken rather than being sneaky.
Evan Fisher
>a level on a moving train I've heard this one a few times, and the plane idea but I think the shape of trains and planes would make for a limited and underwhelming mission.
Jackson Gray
The story mission on Marrakesh is pretty weak, but I've loved playing all the other missions in Marrakesh. The latest Elusive Target was a good challenge.
Jaxon Evans
>contract search >let's make this hard >5 targets, fiber wire >load up contract >realize after 5 hours that it is impossible to SA, because some target NPCs are standing in a crowd forever and the leaderboard is only the creator himself with a super shit score because he only made it to get the achievement Why is making shit contracts allowed? I report every contract that is impossible to SA. and fuck you if you made one of them.
Carson Morales
>we
keep deluding yourself, over all revent hitman threads you have been acting alone, doing it 24/7 for free
Grayson Peterson
I don't know, I've gone back and played BM some more after playing TM for a while and I'm definitely pleased with the number of ways to kill targets in TM compared to BM. I have to say that's a big selling point for a Hitman game.
I love the opportunities system, as long as it's actually off in the menu. Overhearing a conversation and then trying to figure out exactly how to use the information you heard feels great in the new game, there wasn't as much of that in BM.
Levi Butler
>some target NPCs are standing in a crowd forever
i really wish they fix guys who smoke unlimited cigarettes as well
Kevin Bell
agreed. that one Wolfenstien level had to make the train stupidly wide to use it for anything. Even then they didn't use it for anything other than cutscene. God wolfenstein TNO was fucking terrible. Bunch of half finished level concepts tied together with outsourced cut scenes, played like a TV series where all the budget went into the pilot episode (that cinematic assault on the castle) and everything else was scraped together from the leftovers.
Camden Ramirez
Generally Hitman levels are a location + an event So just saying some location isn't ENOUGH
- at a Japanese high school during festival day - at a Japanese hot springs during a Japanese school's field visit - on a Korean ferry while it's sinking - in China during the Yellow Turban Uprising - at a snow resort, during the X-Games
Lucas Anderson
All I'm asking for is not enabling players to mark NPCs that literally never ever move. Cheesing every contract with coins is a fucking chore and not fun. I want to play contracts for fun. But yeah, I feel you.
Cameron Kelly
Would definitely be a 'bonus map' as opposed to a full thing. Limited as hell.
Sounds fun though
Josiah Jackson
can't BTFO what you see
John Nguyen
Would one of those big Asian super malls work as a setting?
Blake Butler
IO defense force is fucking pathetic
Samuel Johnson
The way the opportunities work mechanically in most cases though is too heavily reliant on the markers for them to be functional with them turned off. Certain objectives they ask you to complete just don't consider a player playing with the objective markers turned off. Examples being pretty much any of the Bangkok opportunities, which without markers leave you wandering the whole hotel to activate the next stage. Hopefully in the next round of episodes they'll be able to convey certain the more obtuse opportunities in a more organic way
Hudson Roberts
I'd like to see a mall level too. Like Dead Rising minus the zombies.
>stop liking what I don't like!!!
Elijah Diaz
Take into consideration the city of you doing it for free, and remember the wasted days of your life so far. Then do something about it.
Parker Sanders
Any defense force is pathetic. What's even more pathetic is an incessant whiner like you.
Xavier Cruz
Nice non argument, does it come in a form that doesn't sound like whinging
Jayden Bennett
I agree. In a lot of cases just a bit better explanation of the opportunity would help though. I wish Hitman's Intel & Opportunity systems were more synergized
Sebastian Lee
I haven't has much trouble following the opportunities with them off to be honest, though admittedly I haven't played much of Bangkok and I've only used a few of the opportunities on that level. I find that most of the time it's just obvious enough what the next step is.
Jacob Smith
an oversight that they can't spot you doing shady shit in the mirror, but that would've been "omfg technology" to me if they'd actually pulled it off anyways
Colton Barnes
>AI doesn't have a hivemind and guards have to be alerted by the panicked staff
whoa....
Asher Sullivan
wtf i hate hitman now
Jaxon Mitchell
The only way to SA would be poisoning.
Or maybe if there were some way to crash the whole plane while escaping yourself. but that seems a bit too farfetched
Robert Bell
I remember getting my mind blown when I realized BM had this. I thought no way in hell would they make the AI actually aware of what was in the mirror.
Jack Mitchell
They definitely do not, you probably just created enough noise to alert them
I always take the guy in the casino mission out when he's checking himself out in the mirror and he never reacted
Brandon Scott
I distinctly remember sneaking up on the mob boss's wife with the fiber wire when she was looking at herself in the mirror on A New Life and she would turn around and run for the guards.
Going to fire BM up to check again.
Nathan Reyes
furry convention
Dominic Watson
I was about to say, I never remembered it in BM, in curtains down the guy doesn't notice you if you sneak up on him in the dressing room
Thomas Nelson
>playing latest ET, going to do it right and get SA >spend over an hour trying to figure out her patterns and isolate her from her guards >eventually figure out she spawns on the headmaster's rooftop >front entrance is heavily guarded and by the time I go up the drainpipe she's already talking to her guards and getting ready to leave >getting frustrated, decide to try exposing a wire in a puddle in front of the house and hope she walks through it >mfw I forgot to shut off the power first
John Wood
She walks around it anyway
Angel Reed
this.
Implementing a feature like this would be such a pain. The best way to do it would be to have a select few NPC's vision radius behind them rather than re-working the entire AI. That wouold only be cause for more problems.
James Foster
>bought the game too late to get any of the elusive target rewards >follow her routine for ~5 minutes before getting bored >abuse line of sight in the carpet shops to headshot her and sprint to the exit >silent assasin >mfw
Nolan Walker
>winter will be over by the time anyone can unlock the winter suit
defend this IO apologists
Wyatt Edwards
The most annoying thing about these webms are the retards that reply to it.
Henry Hall
elusive targets are garbage business practice anyways. all the replay value I got out of the game happened in that vampire costume escalation where you start a gunfight in the paris attic anyways.
Xavier Sanders
Doesn't sound very hard to implement honestly.
if npc's view cone is hitting mirror -> add view cone on back of head
Obviously not as straightforward as that but again, direct sound like a huge pain in the ass to implement.
Jaxon Evans
...
Leo Perry
So at best we will get the winter suit early January, that's nice
Mason Stewart
>middle of january at the earliest for the winter suit
Not acceptable.
December is the only month where people like winter. anything after that is a painful reminder of shitty weather.
Lincoln Reyes
Sapienza?? fucking Sapienza? Sapienza is decades old dude. How about some escalations in Hokkaido or Colorado for fucks sake? Hokkaido has literally 1 escalation right now. Not to mention they're adding them to worst map Bangkok.
Parker Myers
They need to hit every level since the new unlocks were introduced.
Austin Thomas
Winter doesn't start till December 21st, what are you smoking?
Joseph Turner
who gives a shit, everyone knows sapienza inside and out. They're adding challenges to the earlier maps because they're easier to balance due to lower difficulty.
Jackson Morales
everyone knows paris inside and out and 90% of the ETs take place there because of the fucking episodic nature of the game and they dont want to burn people who refuse to get it piecemeal.
>falling for the calander jew Christmas is days away I've already seen snowfall
it is winter.
Samuel Flores
When does winter end then, champ?
If you say anything other than March 20th, you are wrong btw.
Logan Flores
Mid march sounds right. I've seen snow last through there.
Sebastian Cruz
ETs can suck my dick. classic suit all day erry day. blood money suit would be cool but fuck if i'm waiting for 10 ETs i got other shit to play.
Elijah Lopez
I almost did the exact same thing, but them I checked myself and remembered it was an ET
Easton Morgan
Any tips on how to kill Viktor on Silent assassin, suit only? I triggered the fire alarm thinking it wouldn't have a effect and got him in a wine cellar alone but I didn't get SA
Tyler White
Fire Alarms shouldn't invalidate SA, perhaps you got spotted trespassing for a second
Caleb Collins
Often if an engine was never built with a certain feature in mind then devs have to do some really hacky shit to work it in. Bethesta's been pretending that features exist where it's just clever camerawork and distraction since FO3 because they're huge pussies who would fail if they didn't stay under their comfy Gamebryo dunce hat.
William Smith
>Entertainment is a waste of time
IO logic No wonder their games don't sell L O L
Jeremiah Morgan
>Make Drunken Boxer Cocktail >Rat Poison >Drown while he's vomiting in the toilet
One of the easiest things to do.
Joshua Stewart
>Take out his guard and steal his phone (poison the food in the kitchen) >make your way to his office >wait at the top of the ladder, call in the emergency code >wait until his men are done sweeping the room below >go down and take him out
Michael Smith
So what is with the whole "season" business? I was waiting for all the missions to come out before buying the game, and i thought they were finally done, but now it turns out they'll release more in the future? Is this new season included in the price of the game?
James Walker
Need to dress as a waiter to do that, buddy.
Cooper Fisher
>waiting for Yuki to get into the sauna
I switched to windowed mode for this
Aiden White
Nah you can actually just poison it infront of everyone if you wait for the right moment.
Leo Ward
>Is this new season included in the price of the game?
Tyler Diaz
get to the second floor and wait for him to stand underneath the speaker
Jonathan Jenkins
I'm talking about actually getting behind the bar and mixing the cocktail.
Levi Evans
most of the time people will just do the fire works to get sa/so. if you get stuck i can link you my video of it which is under 5minutes
Liam Watson
>Is this new season included in the price of the game?
user its a squenix game. i'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count.
Ethan Thompson
>webm is months old 3 days is not months my retarded IO friend.
This is about the only situation I wouldn't mind season pass, really. Single player game shouldn't be a money sucker.
Ryder Gonzalez
Do any of these missions have hard time limits (I don't mean ETs) like the earlier games sometimes had or do they just go on an infinite loop like Blood Money?
Adam Gutierrez
How is it optimised? My specs are slightly below the minimum requirements, not sure if I should buy.
Oliver Cruz
Why didnt he just do the normal start with the sniper waiting on the rooftop
Nathaniel Bennett
Think of season 1 as the first in an upcoming trilogy of Hitman games. The first season alone has enough content to be considered a full game. I've sunk about 60 hours into it so far and I'm not even close to finishing everything on offer.
If you don't think it's worth a full price, wait for a sale. I got it 50% off on Steam and it was worth every penny. I hear Gamestop has even better deals but I'm not American so those don't apply to me.
Carson Brown
>what's your favorite mission and why is it Hokkaido? My favorite mission is Colorado >what features would you like to see changed? AI not reacting to blood pools and not being able to see you in the mirror. Also add metal detectors and the briefcase. >what locations do you want to see in season 2? Singapore, New Orleans, Berlin, Moscow, Cairo >have you killed the new ET yet? SASO that bitch
