Who's the true protagonist of the series actually as of now? T7 makes it look like Kazuya's the MC again but it's the final chapter of Mishima saga and they're making Heihachi seems more sympathetic.
And no, it's not fucking Lars.

I always figured both Kazuya and Heihachi were opposing protagonists, so it makes sense that what's supposed to be the last game in the series focuses on their direct, personal conflict with each other. With that having been said, Lars being shoehorned in was awkward in T6 and Akuma looks to be even moreso.
At least Akuma isn't a protagonist.
Lars just feels forced.
>Jin hates his father and unlearns his family style of fighting to distance himself from them
>Still styles his hair like Kazuya
Knowing anime/manga, that hairstyle might be genetics.
Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve. if you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.
>MK
It was Lars in T6, You must accept this.
Can't be Jin so i'm gonna go with Kazuya since they gave him a kid model for Story mode.
Fuck Lars man
>you will never look good in a purple tuxedo like Kazuya
feels bad man
Heihachi is, and has always been, the protagonist since Tekken 2.
For me, it's the McChicken.
kaz was MC in the first 2 tekken games, then it was jin in 3-5, and it's been heihachi in 6 and 7
>Implying TTT2 isn't better than any of those games
Nina is the protagonist...
why else would they give her her own game?
TTT2 is so fucking good.
that giant roster is just mindblowing
My autism tingles since the roster is set at 59 and very uneven.
Use a toned down Azazel or hell the Beast Spirit behind TTT1 Unknown
speak for yourself
Kazuya was the protagonist of 1, antagonist of 2.
Heihachi was the antagonist of 1, 3 and 4. He's the final boss of 1, and the final contender before the final bosses of 3 and 4.
you look like a homo guy.
I fear that Tekken will become an anime game
>will become
It's been anime since day 1.
That block of wood is never not hillarious. Paul and Bob are the whackiest characters out of Tekken next to Leo (who is actually a girl)
But it's getting more blatant as each new Tekken comes out.
Heihachi, Jinpachi, and Lars don't have it
My theory is Jun styled his hair like that when he was a kid because she missed Kazuya
you mean more blatant than the kung fu bear?
i feel like tekken is now on the edge of becomming a waifu centric game like DOA 5.
>becoming
>implying it is
Nah, people can actually name the male characters and they still get top billing
Bryan
Alisa, Eliza, Lars, Lucky Chloe, Josie, Claudio, Master Raven and Kazumi.
Yes, way more anime than Kuma.
Kazuya literally has magic devil powers and an alt form. He's the most anime one of all
Jin and Devil Jin is way more anime than Kazuya.
So long as they don't replace my husbando.
I've never thought about that. That's super cute and now I want it.
>mom styles your hair really cool and you don't know why
>keep wearing your hair really cool because you miss your mom
Every game in the series from Tekken 1 on down has had Yoshimitsu, the the cyborg demon ninja wielding a cursed sword. You can't tell me that's not anime.
It's anime but here you have Master Raven and Raven, secret agent ninjanegroes that teleport and phase through the opponent.
Way MORE Anime. See Jack & Gigas.
>Implying yoshimitsu isn't the main character
I won't deny the classics have inspirations of anime but with each newer game, it gets more and more blatant.
Tekken Character Design peaked with Vanilla Tekken 6.
There's a clear line between the uninspiring designs of the anime post Tekken 6 and those of Tekken 5 and before.
Tekken has always had supernatural themes and joke characters as well. It's just that now, new characters designs are made with the intention of being cool and serious despite being "anime". Dry and flavorless. Lots of stupid flippy shit. Lars is your boi the anime hero. Bob is a fat guy. Mraven replaced raven for no reason. "Let's make him a girl with dreadlocks and space armor lol" black waifu.
Alisa the robot waifu. Eliza the vampire waifu. Josie the bad crying VA waifu.
Maybe it's because they don't seem to have any connection to the Tekken series anymore.
The new chars in 7 have grown on me more. But almost no character post 6 seems interesting. Except Leo, and she does have some link to Kazuya.
Looks like they might make Lars legit this time though.
Yoshimitsu needs its own game.
I'm getting Tekken 7 just for Xiaoyu maid costume that I saw on that Tanakuna girl video vs knee.
