Game has stat boosting items

>game has stat boosting items
>dump all of them into the main character regardless of his role in the team

>use all on MC
>character that seemed like a more logical choice than the MC who actually needed the stats leaves the party permanently

>do this
>the main character dies

>save stat boosting items because not sure
>end up using them all before the last boss
>new character(s) joins in post-game and makes other characters irrelevant
>is short on a just a bit of stats to be perfect

>Easy way to farm stat boost items.
>Entire party becomes stat-capped juggernauts.

>temporary stat boosting items
>never use em, not even for the final boss or post game/new game+

Why would I waste AP boosts on anyone but Sora? Donald and Goofy don't learn shit in the earlygame.

For real though, buff the fuck out of Crono. I mean, why wouldn't you?

>do this in fire emblem
>mc solos the entire game

>his stuff is in a box in his room. You can collect it.
It was a nice touch.

Maybe if you're a shitter playing awakening or 8 or birthright lmao

>everyone on your team are maxed out, have the best gears available and all the best skills in the game
>still can't beat the secret/DLC bosses because of their mechanics

>he can't solo FE black
But hey modern FE are easy, I got your point

>game lets you farm unlimited stat boosters
>autistically grind away to max evey stat of every character
>game can actually be easily beaten without grinding, or farming extra stat boosters, with a team leveled to the mid 50s
>be an average jrpg player
>actually meme'd yourself into believing these games are hard or grindy, which are just dumb memes

Daily reminder that 90% are not grindy and it doesn't matter who you give stat boosters to.

>implying hector can't solo the entire game

Someone ends up getting killed and I have to restart. Permadeath is shit.

>consumable, one use temporary buffs or stat increases
>never use them, save them for "a really hard fight"
>end the game with hundreds in the inventory

most of the time it's not even a matter of a "saving" them but more that it's not even worth taking the time to select them

so many games that give you truckload of consumable that mostly serve no real purpose

Whenever I play KOTOR I always finish the game with 100+ adrenaline boosts, speed boosts, melee and energy shields etc...

I tried doing a runthrough where I actually use them regularly and it makes the game 10 times easier, to the point where it's almost boring.

Because I leave him dead.

Funny since even though those games are easy as piss and have overpowered MCs, FE 4 and 9 also qualify as piss easy with OP MCs, even though people like to meme about those being best.

5 is the best.

what's the last game that actually had full blown party member (aka, not just a nobody "guest") leave permanently with no way to get back even in post-game?

I feel like I only remember that happening in old rpgs

>MC fucking dies halfway through the game
