I think the most depressing thread was a Switch one where a guy asked about whether to get Switch or PS4 and said he likes party games.

And he got someone bringing up Xbone out of nowhere about Xbone having no games and to get PS4, someone saying PS4 with no further comment; meanwhile I and others that said "Wait for Switch presentation" and talk about PS4 having some noteworthy games and got called "Nintendo shills" while people kept saying "GET PS4, IT HAS GAMESW UNLIKE SWITCH AND XBONE"

Honestly I just don't know why nintendo consoles were not as impactful here. This is what I think went on in ages:
-In ps1 n64 era there was a good competition
-Suddenly in ps2 gamecube era it became ps2 or go home. It might had been because of dvd and I think gamecube advertises were weak overall, so they lost important track even with cool games or for example multiplats being worst in ps2 lol
-ps3 era came and it became ps3 xbox360, because of prices xbox360 had some run over ps3. Wii was its own thing , not sure about EU sales comparing to other EU consoles, but it was weaker than in US Im sure. The advertising for wii was the balance thing or just dance and stuff
-well wii U was a global thing, that fucking advertisers lol what cancer were. Too much stuff about kids being able to change play to controller
-Switch I said above, I really want it to succeed but kids all have these stuff

I know I certainly am. Nintendo jumped ship way early on that one, and the system was flawed to begin with. The NX feels like what the Wii U should have been all along. The fact that the Wii U went it's whole life cycle without a Metroid or F-Zero and then they bomb Kirby, Yoshi, and Star Fox really hard, and the only Zeldas were ports... it was a really shit lineup.

I found myself playing Super Mario World and the Metroid Prime games more than any Wii U game on it.

Anyway I am cautiously optimistic about the Switch but Nintendo needs to prove they actually remember to make quality games again. When you are mostly using a current gen console to play SNES, GBA, and GC games you know something is wrong
