It was hard being a Megadeth fan. Their popularity in the late 80's/early 90's kept growing but their music was becoming garbage, until Symphony of Destruction. Their popularity skyrocketed, but it was all downhill from there. They probably have a dozen greatest hits CDs by now.

How is Hardwired? I haven't bothered to check it out after the shitfest that was magnetic

I still find it hilarious how both Iced Earth and Megadeth released an album called Dystopia as a solid comeback after a couple weak ones.

My biggest gripe with the old Metallica stuff is that the riffs while good are repeated over and over in songs that are way too long. Old Megadeth in contrast was way more chaotic and that's why I prefer it.

It's really great. The songwriting is so much more cohesive and the production is way better. It's a really solid metal album.

Do listen to it in order though because the Spit Ou the Bone is one of the best songs they've ever written and if you listen to it first it'll just ruin the rest of the album for you.

Some people don't like Iced Earth's Dystopia but I think it's pretty good, Stu is a great singer
