I was there, i decided to make "no XYZ" lobbies but soon decided i was being a stupid faggot and got on with learning how the game is supposed to be played.

And guess what?
It's the most fun i'd had playing Yugioh ever, the game i played in 2nd-3rd grade had nothing on the XYZ system in particular; it brought life to the game.

Pendulums have to have retardedly broken effects to even be considered "game breaking". Qliphort were meta because of Towers and Skill Drain, and when those got fucked they went away. Dracopals were meta until Wavering Eyes, Monkeyboard, and Skullcrobat Joker got fucked, and they went away. Metalfoes get some tops but are dependent upon their Fusions to be good since they are literally a 60-card fun deck. Even the new Magicians have to have retardedly broken effects to compete against this single card.

Xyz ruined the game, newfriend, which is why Konami keeps printing them.

My brother and I had the originals. I swear the sound and force of the two spring loaded blades coming together made it seem like I could lose a finger to them. It also bugged me that the small blade would go all the way to the large blade instead of the two joining in the middle and falling onto one side.

I had one of these but I had no idea how to put it on.

Did anyone else's house rules not use fusion decks and just had them in your regular deck but you still had to have the requirements to fuse? In hindsight that made fusion summoning a billion times harder than it should have been.

No. It did see use in dragon decks that used Future Fusion before it was banned because it allowed the user to mill 5 dragons of their choice. I had fun using it in Chaos Dragons to set up Lightpulsar/RedMD plays.
