Yeah Im pretty hyped. Anything Berserk is always cool. Been on a Warriors kick lately. Picked up Pirate Warriors 3 a few weeks back and really enjoyed it even though I have no fucking clue about anything in that universe.

It's barebone as fuck.
Storymode is nice but unlimited Eclipse mode gets old pretty fast. Having to finish 100 floors with every playable characters (7 I think) to be able to play as unlimited Femto is just too much of a hassle.
I finished it and there's really no point in going back. Even AoT had better replayability.

Technically 10 since Berserker Armor and Femto are super forms with different movesets.
But the game has been out in Japan for months now. It's a super barebones musou with a tiny cast that doesn't do anything particularly special or noteworthy. If you're a huge berserkfag and like musous you'll probably have fun, but I'd suggest waiting for a price drop.
Is Dark Souls the closest we can get to a decent Berserk experience? Though even then we can never get the feeling of mowing down hordes with a thick slab of iron.

AOT is actually one of the more enjoyable musou I played.
This one is more like Samurai Warriors-II and Arslan.
It's bizarre how something that's so different to Musou works so well, even when made by the Musou team themselves.
Does that mean the very concept of Musou is a broken shitshow? But that can't be. Being a singular badass and mowing down the thousands of enemies in front of you is a great concept.
Story mode is alright in Berserk, but it's all there is to it.
Guess Hyrule Warriors won't be getting dethroned as the best offshoot Musou game any time soon.

Well it's a Musou, but even then I would have been hyped for it. However, it's a Musou with no multiplayer. For me there's nothing to be hype about now.
Dark Souls captures the aesthetic and tone of berserk almost perfectly. The combat not so much but at least it requires thought, Guts combat prowess is as much brute strength as it is strategy.
8 playable characters
Breezes past anything not related to Golden Age and rushes to the boat.
Every map is exactly the same objectivewise (kill some captains, bases and get to the boss), besides an handful of gimmick boring escort missions.
Recycles a lot of cutscenes from the movies.
Every boss boils down to keep hammering on it until it dies with no strategy or skill involved.
I'm a gigantic fanboy for Berserk and i regret importing this piece of crap.
That's the sole regard in which it's better but even then he doesn't regularly tear through hundreds of people. Most of the more serious fights are also just him fighting a few people at most.
Even with everything said in this thread, I'd still play the game if it were say, 20 bucks
But 60 dollars, there's just no way to justify that pricetag

There is dismemberment. It's not very pronounced because it's hidden behind all the flashy effects on-screen and corpses only take a second or two to disappear, but it is there.
