Explain why it's such a boring slog then, op. Double Dash and 3DS were better[/spoiler}
Angel Ross
Battle Mode is garbage.
Austin Kelly
>30 fps 3-4 player splitscreen >no LAN/ local wireless multiplayer >battlemode shit when less than 8 players >dlc fucks up order of cups for all track marathon >motion controls fuck up kart balancing
When Deluxe fixes all this shit it will be the best Mario Kart ever until Double Dash 2 comes out
Gabriel Roberts
thats not double dash
Robert Jones
Wait for Mario Kart 8: Deluxe GOTY Editionâ„¢ for the Nintendo Switchâ„¢, good goyim.
Nathaniel Kelly
don't forget the Switch port will have local multiplayer for more than 4 players
get ready for 15FPS 8-player local
James Murphy
>Can't choose number of laps a track >200cc only makes this MORE NECESSARY
Because grid position finishes is such a good indicator of skill and is lots of fun Items can't really help at all, physical presence of other drivers is pretty much the most important factor, but you barely get up to the point a difference is made in less than 3 minutes.
This also pisses me off in SASRT, they use transforming tracks as an argument except no because you can fucking reset it or just delay the transformations, or just loop the final track. A 200cc mode for SASRT would also be great.
Eli Myers
>"Hey guys 150cc is already pretty much the standard, but we should come up with another mode" >"How about 200cc" >"Won't people need to actually use the brake then which the game has literally never conditioned them for nor are the tracks suited for it?" >"Who cares?"
Carson Lopez
The Blue Falcon was a huge mistake.
Every high ranking match has at least 6 shitters using it because it has better stats than every other cart in the game. This is especially true if you race against Japanese. FUCK PAY TO WIN DLC.
Otherwise the game is great.
Jeremiah Carter
>triple mushrooms in 12th place
Benjamin Hall
Battle mode is always garbage though
James Ross
It's not 8 players on the same switch though. Don't act stupid
Jordan Johnson
>he doesn't like using the Blue Falcon with his Mii in Captain Falcon's suit
You DO have his Amiibo, don't you?
Thomas Murphy
The only way custom karts in MK can really work is if EVERY TRACK IS MASSIVE in terms of physical size, with routes that favour certain properties. I mean, they have to go beyond cart racing and go full on DiRT.
Adrian Miller
Its good but I like SASRT more. Since it became BC on xbone I haven't really gone back to MK8. Will probably get MK8 HD though
Ryder Campbell
>Sonic All-Stars Racing 3 never why live
Carson Clark
If they want Deluxe to completely absorb MK8's community they NEED to make the switch compatible with the Wii Ethernet adapter. Fuck Wi-Fi racers.
Dylan Hill
I use my WiiU's ethernet lan adapter, it works just fine.
Luis Gutierrez
if they want everyone to move on to Deluxe they'd shut down the Wii U servers
Cameron Taylor
>Online is fine
Jason Campbell
>DK's face whenever he passes someone
I really hope they keep this in 9
Jose James
too bad the roster blows wet chunks
Thomas Howard
>Morton with a banana defense >gets hit by a Green shell >Dude is literally having a boost So this.... is the... power...of Japan
Justin Campbell
It probably will, i wouldnt rule it out. Give it 2018-19
Camden Robinson
DD had the best gimmick, ds was the best overall game, and 8 has the best content excluding characters and battle mode. They just need to fuse those 3 together
Hudson Lopez
Who here /MK8D/?
>can hold two items >locked 1080p60fps >proper full battle arena with multiple game modes >new battle arena tracks to play on >new items >new characters >new karts and parts
Gonna be good on Sup Forums
Adam Gray
Not the best. Coins, midair hits, they're about to DOUBLE the Items, the fucking shit Blue Shell, still fucking parts, Firehopping,
Didn't even get into Battle Mode. It's far from perfect.
Zachary Garcia
>locked 1080p60fps as if it wasn't on the Wii U
it still drops to 30 in split-screen on the Switch you faggot, it's the exact same game
Ayden Anderson
post Webm
MK8 is a great game and surely the best MK. DD is also good but the gimmick about special objects for characters is too much
I need to buy the switch first user but count on me
Josiah Scott
Uh, no. Literally everything you say is wrong.
Dominic Howard
>can only talk to your friends in the lobby, not during the race dropped
Nicholas Morales
Special objects was the best part. You had to build strategies around them instead of straight up min/maxing. People still can't agree on the best combo
BJ/Diddy master race
Nolan Barnes
ehhh, I liked Mario Kart Wii more
it has this mod that gave it over 200 tracks. check it out if you still have the game chadsoft.co.uk/
Noah Davis
I am in my mid 20s I shouldnt be laughing at this
Asher Stewart
Imagine if they go and make DLC for MK8D
By the time they're done it'll be the most content heavy Mario Kart ever with more tracks than you could imagine
Jaxson Mitchell
I'm not paying $60 for a game that's almost identical to a game that I already spent hundreds of hours on.
Noah Wood
That's fine, you don't have to. I'm excited for it personally, haven't played in a while and the new additions, esp. proper battle mode are nice.
I honestly will buy a Switch once Splatoon 2 is out.
Andrew Rodriguez
It was 720 on the WiiU And as you can see, it is indeed 1080p60 locked on the Switch.
As if I'd play with enoguh people locally in splitscreen.
Brayden Wood
It has the best track design and music in the series, easily. However:
Item balance is way too in favour of people behind, meaning that players who drive better are punished more, even more so with how you can't hold an item behind you and have one in stock. However Deluxe may be fixing that with its dual items.
Battle mode was cheap half assed crap, however Deluxe is adding proper Battle mode.
Any other complaints I have are minor or personal preference (stuff like them seemingly being scared of long races, even N64 Rainbow Road being neutered by being turned into a single lap race, or how the roster has some odd choice.).
tl;dr MK8 isn't the best in the series, but Deluxe may very well be.
Ryan Ward
>ehhh, I liked Mario Kart Wii more I came here to post about Wii being the worst mario kart game ever made. It's uncanny how slow and ugly looking it is. It boggles the mind as to how they released that shit.
James Bell
>they remaster literally every track from the series since the beginning >but each pack costs $25, season pass is $100
SNES/64/GC/DS/GBA/Wii/3DS
Would you buy the season pass? Or what packs would you buy?
Caleb Hill
me too, actually. yeah, I've never been big into battle mode. I still hope you have fun, though!
