What fighting games are for intellectuals?
What fighting games are for intellectuals?
war gods
mace the dark age
bio FREAKS
fighter's destiny
none, fighting games are of imbeciles.
Outside of Smash shit which i won't speak on since i don't play id move BB one peg smarter and put UMVC3 in its place. You have to be high to think current BB is dumber then UMVC3 CT/CS yeah but not CP/CF they've come a way.
Also move KOF14 to Tekken7/GG tier.
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters
...
>Smash
>Most intellectual
Your bait is a shit.
>Playing as a cow-man
>Playing as Cy-5
Weird times.
2d KOF/GG
3d Tekken
Out of the current generation that is. Most fighting games are smart. Some like Marvel are smart but have alot of bullshit to put up with to the point where its not worth it over games where you don't wait 30 seconds to die if you get hit by a light/air throw. SFV/NRS games are just braindead games that focus on rushdown/easy combos then how to get them/neutral.
A fighting game will be good even if there is bullshit as long as its clear the dev wants to create their vision and not a game for people to feel powerful with as little effort as possible without the game turning into a Rising Thunder.
GG has always been my favorite fighting game series because Daisuke just wanted to create a game with anime tier weapons and powers with tons of variety and got that. And because he wasn't focused on dumbing shit down like crazy mechanics are really deep and meter in itself is a god sent tool to make awesome shit happen in neutral/combos/resets/mind fucks.
KOF feels the same way but i just prefer GG.
If video games are where you're looking for your intellectual challenge, that's probably a red flag that you need to rethink where your life is going.
UNiEL
Smash Bros and Xenoverse are not fighting games and KOF XIV is the most intellectual of the games listed there
Too obvious, 0/10
I can't tell if this is a brain thread or a fighter thread.
Not him but i wouldn't say i look for a intellectual challenge but fuck i hate games especially where the dev openly admits they want people to feel powerful who can't handle said genre in other games of it.
I like games that reward good plays/give alot of leg room to make a variety of them and reward strong fundamentals. If a games meta ends up being "play this way a retard could figure out in a week or you won't go far at all" i look interest.
SFV is somewhat like this. Defensive/neutral play isn't very rewarding but possible and its annoying to lose to a few good strike throw guesses after poking/spacing them down to near nothing.
The extreme of this would be i find For Honor a fucking bore because anyone halfway competent is just sitting back doing nothing 30 feet away from each other feinting now. Doesn't help i like the Shugoki whose block is so slow you can't change it fast enough to block a PK double side light combo if you haven't switched before the swing.
I fucking love D44M because it was a breath of fresh air where i can play in multiple ways and still be successful even in the MP.
If you are asking what of anything is for intellectuals, then you are not an intellectual, just an idiot that acts smart and asks people online how to play pretend even better. They are fucking games, play what looks fun and beat it. ffs
Killer instinct
It's almost like this image is using the final image as satire or something.
autism
higher you game is on the brain chart the more people will cringe/laugh at you for playing it
I don't know
>smash bros
you have
It's the most technical fighter out there.
Pokken.
>not save the earth or unleashed, which is the same game with more characters
What did he mean by this?
-- because Smashers have never heard of a stick and use GC pads because Melee/Sm4sh requires analog, so really... no.
