What does it actually do? Also
>mana system
No thanks

What's it gonna do? Other than this china stuff.

>Literally rehashed rebranded HRE system
>revolutionizing
Also
>le everyone can be china
Fucking retarded.

It's only $20 so make sure you try it before you criticize it!

WHERE'S VICTORIA 3 FUCK

>What does it actually do?
Gives China an HRE mechanic.

Do you really want Victoria Universalis V: Revenge of the Mana?

Is there the same way topirate the DLC while having the maingame?

Ok, but does it stop the game from being a braindead map painting simulator?

game hasn't been good for years
I'd highly doubt any kind of patch or dlc could make this mess tolerable.
They took all the fun out of it.

Why do you have a tripcode?

And yes.

No fucking mana. The whole point of Vicky was a simulated economy where you can become the dreaded liquor baron of Siam

map painting takes more thought than most games

>Lmao POPs

No, but MEIOU and Taxes 2.0 is.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Do some research about the upcoming features, watch some videos and you'll see all the awesome shit they're implementing.

>population mechanics with realistic growth and agriculture models
>dynamic centers of trade
>fully dynamic plague and famine
>estates that actually matter and don't even require the Cossacks DLC because they re-coded them from the ground up
>religious minorities, pogroms, heresies, etc.
>lumber management and deforestation

It's amazing how far they've come. Even the original M&T far surpassed vanilla, but now it's like a completely different game. I'm so hype.

And you really think Paradox will respect that? In their eyes, CK2 and EU4 were massive successes, and Victoria 2 was comparably a failure. If they release Victoria 3, I'd bet it would have a simplified pop system, if they don't remove it all together, and an even worse economy.

They're going to add mana to Victoria 3, they're addicted to that system for some reason. So much so that they've stretched it beyond what it even was designed for in EU4.

Although Liquor mana would be dope.

>EU Rome 2 never
>Vicky 3 never
Maybe it's better this way
>use Consular Mana to enact the Marian reforms to give your heavy infantry a +0.5% attack bonus!

hurr durr lots of promises let's actually wait to see what it plays like when it comes out you shill cuck

It's literally a video of it being played, and there are dozens of them to go with it. It's not "promises", it actually exists. If you want to get mad about me being excited for an awesome mod that's fine though.

It will all be replaced by mana :^)

kid respond to me one more time i swear to fucking god i'm so fucking sick of retards like you trusting gameplay videos like that WAIT UNTIL IT FUCKING COMES OUT

FUCK YOU

>steam turbine ships
>essential

lmao no my friend

Go back to /gsg/ already, your kind aren't allowed outside the quarantine.

Wow that looks pretty neat.

How autismo is this game though

/gsg/ loves M&T2

I'm saying I think it looks good based on the videos, dev logs, previous work etc. and I'm excited for it. That's not unreasonable at all, you're just incredibly jaded and can't comprehend looking forward to something. It's not like it's a bullshot trailer by Ubisoft or an E3 presentation by Sean Murray, it's just a video of a dude playing the game. And it looks great. I'm hype.

>Social thought is more important if you're a shitty unciv (or Russia)
>(or Russia)

heh epicly trolled son :)

It has nothing to do with that, it's the fact that he was shitposting in a particular style native to /gsg/ shitposters, the kind that invade the thread every so often and try to kill discussion.

Imagine Victoria 3

With Stellaris level of POP LMAO.

>he
you*

i don't post on /gsg/ and i browse it very rarely. your pattern-recognition skills need work.

Do you even know what unciv is?
Glorious Russian Empire is as civilized as they can be.

L M A O Jacobins

Of course it doesn't.

>fight ming with mandate cb
>win war
>wtf I'm a #hunagdi now
>own no land in china
>still "Emperor of china"
>can remain "Emperor of china" for the rest of the game while owning none of china

BRAVO JOHAN

>wanting Paradox to even remember Victoria exists after seeing how they butchered Hearts of Iron

it amazes me that HoI4 is almost a year old and it's still so bare.

like there's nothing to do in it. jesus.

Mana was a mistake

>WE REVOLUTIONIZED MAP PAINTING

WEW FAG

Biologism gives +50% education efficiency. It is by far Russia's most important tech given that literacy is the only thing preventing it from being a super power.

to be fair, making a streamlined casuel HoI IV might've been the way to go. What could they have possibly done after HoI 2 and HoI 3 except give it a fancy reskin for 60 buckadoodles?

Did HoI4 just not take well or something so they completely dropped it? If it's any comfort Paradox will never ditch a game as badly as they abandoned Sengoku.

They could have combined the best elements of 3 and 2 into a brilliant fucking game. All of the pieces were there, all those incompetent fucks had to do was put them together.

>to be fair, making a streamlined casuel HoI IV might've been the way to go.

Sure, it's a way to go, but I fundamentally disagree with it. What's the point of taking anal retentive elements out of a game famous for them? If you dumb down the wargame aspect to make it appealing you've killed Hearts of Iron. It would be like dumbing down industry and trade in the next Victoria game - it's what makes it what it is.

it wasn't ck2: ww2 edition. people think that's the norm for grand strategy these days.

Never played it, how bad was it?

there's a Nippon mod for ck2 that's pretty good

If that's all it does then no

It wasn't. Game was just a blatant prototype for Crusader Kings 2 and never intended to go past that.

>people complaining game has an end goal of becoming shogun and it's the only way to win
Well, yeah.

Is Kaiserreich for Victoria 2 good? Or should I get it for HoI?

HoI is a backburner game for them right now, there's barely anyone working on it. Not to mention it was rushed to begin with and flawed from the start. If I were in their position I would just cease development on it, completely go back to the drawing board, and "re-launch" with a new version like "[title] - A Hearts of Iron Game" and give it for free to people who bought HoI4 as an apology.

>If I were in their position I would piss away a lot of money and most likely get fired.

And that's why you're not

Yeah you're right, I forgot making good games isn't what PDS is about, they prefer shitting out unfinished games and charging over time to finish them. Whoops! Guess I wouldn't belong there after all.

You need a NASA supercomputer to play M&T at a decent speed though.

M&T2 has better performance. It's still slower than vanilla because there are more provinces and tags (and modders can't change the calculations related to that) but thanks to a recent performance fix everything else is basically free in terms of calculation time.

To put it in perspective, M&T 1 runs at a rate of about 100 seconds per year for me, on speed 5 with no pauses. One of the devs, who has a worse computer than me, posted that he's running M&T 2 (which has more provinces/tag/etc.) at 60 seconds per year. Of course that's still slower than vanilla but it's a huge improvement.
