Tips for getting through Chris' scenario? I'm playing on original difficulty and damn the early parts of the mansion are kind of kicking my ass. So many fucking zombies.

run around them
I've been trying as much as possible but the hallways are pretty tight.
its better to take the hits than to waste the ammo
Best strategy is to only clear out the zombies close to the save rooms right?
plenty of herbs
zombies on chris' scenario take like 10 shots while jill's zombies take like 6 so it's probably better to just kill the ones you CAN'T avoid
the knife probably isn't an option since it takes a slot up but it does help a little bit
Yeah I've gotten down to the following strategy:
4 shots will drop a zombie, then I stick them with the knife so they'll get back up. The knife damage basically takes off one bullet required to kill them for good. I had forgotten how much more difficult RE1 was compared to the rest of the series.
Just run. Don't take the knife with you, it's for plebs. Waste bullets only when there's no other way around and, if you have to get hit, just get hit. you have Rebecca's heals and herbs..
So, from where did those Vendetta images suddenly come from? Why aren't they in higher quality?
Speaking of which, I said yes when Rebecca asked if I wanted her to come with. How does that change things?
i just played revelations 2 my first re and loved it specially the assault mode what other re has a good assault mode
Revelations 2 is your first? Dude, go play RE1-3 (it will probably take a while to get used to it, it's pretty different) and then 4-6 (which are more similar to Revelations) and 7. Also play Revelations 1 after RE5. Trust me, they are all worth it.
not like your mama's pussy
REmake 1 is better
roland
but that's wrong
they're two entirely different beasts and they're both great
deadly silence is better though
*hears fart noises coming out of basement*
If you're playing the Director's Cut version you should be able to stomp everything with that OP handgun.
What did he mean by this?
Especially as Chris
The zombies near the save rooms disappear when hunters turn up so Jill can leave them be
It's more important for Chris to clear the zombies close to the save room at the back of the mansion.
That's only in arrange mode though, right? I think original is the same as the initial release with the exception of auto aim.
I used to find resi 1 a difficult game, now i realize its actually pretty easy.
Most of the zombies/dogs in the game can be dodged fairly easily. you will be surprized how little space you need to dodge a zombie.
for instance, the hallway outside the small storage room where you meet rebecca, there are 3 zombies in there, all of them can be dodged.
try to conserve ammo during the initial mansion part. be sure to check everything for extra clips.
by the time you reach the guardhouse, you should have a good amount of handgun bullets, and there are plenty of shotgun shells scattered around that part.
save your magnum rounds. by the time hunters are introduced, you will need them. i tend to kill virtually all the hunters, because they can 1-hit kill you.
if you get confident in dodging zombies/dogs, by the time you reach the last part of the game you will have a tonne of surplus ammo.
there are no spiders (other than boss)/sharks in the game that need to be killed. all can be dodged very easily.
once you have completed the game once, and know where most of the items are, the second time will be much much easier.
and then you can play resi 2, which i consider easier, and far more generous in terms of ammo.
good luck OP, the original trilogy are some of the GOAT games.
i picked up the REmake yesterday and am struggling with that so far. the controls seem slightly sluggish, and zombies seem much harder to dodge. but enjoying it nonetheless.
Yeah that's right. Using the arrange super handgun for the first time was crazy. Didn't have to use any other gun until returning to the mansion from the garden house.
You guys KNOW he shitposts about "tfw no asian gf" on /r9k/ right?
So many years have gone by and its still impossible to open this image and not make one of these
First time i played RE2, back in 98, i thought it was the hardest shit ever. Then when i played it again, this time the PC version in the early-mid 2000s, i found it moderately difficult. Played it once again last week, and i didn't come close to dying a single time.
RE2make fucking WHEN
...
they just released re7 so give it a couple months maybe at the e3 we'll get some news about REmake 2
every fucking time
why did he have to die again?
Obviously they're low-quality teaser shots from an upcoming trailer.
Cute old glasses scientist Rebecca looks adorable.
Not really sure if we are getting a new trailer soon, but i hope so.
I searched around for a bit and apparently those screenshots are from the online shop where they are selling Vendetta merch (like Leon's coat or whatever)
It's been months since the last trailer. I'd say another one is due.
i had a similar experience, i played all at the time of release, and was quite young.
hunters/lack of ink ribbons in resi1 rekt me.
then around 2002 i gave it another shot, struggled but completed it. played it 2 weeks ago, blitzed through it.
i cant remember what i found difficult about resi 2, i do remember never completeing it, and using action replay to unlock the gatling gun, i still never finished it though. played every scenario this month, a ranked them all.
3 i find tricky. i always kill nemesis, and refuse to use first aids. i have read many times online the intricacies of how to dodge but still cant perfect it, it happens more often than not when im not trying. once i beat nemy in police station fight 2, the rest of the game is a piece of cake. i got top rank in that last week (and realized just how short that game is).
have you seen the resi 2 fan made remake, i stumbled upon it few days ago and was surprized by how decent it looked. saying this, im never gunna play it.
if the RE2make is half as good as im finding REmake so far (and has pre-rendered backgrounds), i will be buying it. i'm loving just finding new rooms in REmake atm, i was worried it was gunna be a straight copy+paste remake.
>TLDR:
1=2=3
i find it impossible to rank these games, but if i had a gun to my head, i'd say no.2 is the best.
Claire's VA said they're going with over-the-shoulder

I'm buying it no matter what because i'm a huge RE2 fanboy (as it was my first RE game) who will buy anything with Sherry, Leon or Claire in it
>i think they said
>i thought they said
Going to wait for some official info.
Rolling for anyone but Ada.
God fucking damn it.
I'm getting Ada and you can't stop me
YEW KNOW WHAT I WAHNT
HAND THEM OVAHR
oh shit, i never knew there was a difference between Chris and Jill's scenarios in "shots needed to kill"
Stock up on that shotty shells before the hunters come up. It's going to get pretty messy if you can't dodge them properly. The zombies on the tight hallway near the stairs might give you problems in dodging but for the most part you can lure them into a side and quickly run into the other.
