What other comfy low-key games turn the most mundane of side quests into memorable experiences?

Gravity Rush fits the bill.

Yakuza

Okami

noted
good that you mention it, I beat Yakuza 1 and I ignored 99% of the side quests. I'll be more diligent about them when I play the sequels
I actually wish Okami was shorter. I dropped the game in the last act with zero regrets.

Get out before you get spoiled.

First game to ever make me cry.
It come out of no where and fucks you up for years.

EMIL IS GAY FOR NIER

>comfy

Fuck, can't you just describe what you like about the game rather than relying on a shitty term that doesn't communicate anything?

SHE'S GOT A DICK

it communicates my feelings

Bought the game for like $11 on 360 a year or so ago. Didn't actually start until yesterday. Fell off a wall and broke the guards' fragile package.

How did she get breasts? Can you get a boob job in Nier's future?

I hate feelings. I also hate everything, you included.

It's a long story that contains many spoilers.

>I actually wish Okami was shorter. I dropped the game in the last act with zero regrets.
That's a shame, the finale really paid off. One of the few games that almost made me cry

...

This game is based as fuck. I just finished ending B.

Skyrim

>Fell off a wall and broke the guards' fragile package.

I feel like 90% of players did this.

Are you me?

>male protag
irrelevant shit
>female sex-bot protag that makes escorts look like nuns
95/100 goty

I don't think that's the reason Automata is more well-known, user. The first Nier, while being an A+ piece of weebshit, had a shit budget.

The first Nier's combat was atrocious. But man that music is what kept me playing.

How the hell did Nier Automata get made, really?

The more I think about it, the more bizarre it is.

Did games grow in popularity enough that even niche titles can be commercially successful and enticing enough for large publishers?

Next thing we know we'll be playing Deadly Premonition 2.

That's a good question tbqh.

Saito is a Moonman fan
So was Taura
So was Yoshida

It's a fucking miracle strung together by the power of original games, alcohol and friendship
