Weiss is incredibly confusing. I purchased a Persona 4 deck and I only got two matches out of it.

I think the idea behind Link Monsters are cool, making positioning important. But the way they're shackling the Extra Deck if you don't use Links is overkill.

Link actually changes things instead of just adding on, so it's understandable how people are pissed by it.

Cards like Chaos MAX, Back the Cook, and Raidraptor Ultimate Falcon would like to have a word with you. If you're not running Gravekeepers and Kaijus / opponent monster removal via nontargeting tributes, GKs go down quite easily.

It's a fusion because HEROS have fusion synergy.

From a mechanical perspective, because it's a boss monster in the extra deck, it's not bricking in your hand.

Well, for starters, the "Masked HERO" archetype is reliant upon putting on a new mask for being a new hero monster, in a sense. The spell card is essentially the act of donning a new mask. By having the Masked HEROes being in the Extra Deck as opposed to Main Deck, the deck isn't utter trash. You only need 2/3 key components of the combo for power presence.

Also, the whole "Can't be Special Summoned by other ways" clause is just so you can't cheat and bring the dead ones back from your Graveyard via card effects.

So essentially say you have 500 attack and 500 defense, other guy also has 500/500, they both die... I think.

It can, but at the time removal was scarce and if it had a monster equipped you had to destroy it twice, in one turn if there's a monster on your field.

1. Tribute =/= tribute summon. Metamorphosis still works, as does shit like E-Con. You're thinking too small.

They actually can. Based on the semantics of the card, you tribute the monster for the cost of Metamorphosis, instead of tributing 1 or 2 of the tokens for a normal Tribute Summon.
It means that if you're attacking a defense position monster, the difference between Chaos MAX's attack and the defending monster's attack is dealt as lifepoint damage to your opponent. But the damage dealt is doubled. Thus, double piercing damage.

Piercing means it deals battle damage even if the targeted monster is in defense mode. Double means double. They've finally started taking a page out of Magic's book and started using shorthand to trim the number of card descriptions that are 1000+ word theses.

Because Konami gave up and Neos is an abortion of an Archetype
