When does this game take place?
I'm transferring the Japanese voice files to my Wii U as I type this.
Don't know why I waited this long, some of the male voices aren't that bad but the girls are terrible. I'll take Japanese screeching over that any day.
That's just typical American "If I speak in falsetto, it's like I'm from LANDON!" shit.
Sounds fine to me.
It's more american trying to do queens english but sounding more cockney even though the queens english is completely different
Does anyone have a guide on playing different dubs on the switch?
Also what's the best dub in your opinion?
>zelda's voice actress is someone who is not british trying to do a british accent
why wouldn't you just hire a native brit? her voice sounds so terrible.
Specially for the American dub.
Because americans don't give a shit and generally can't tell the difference.
Judging on Zelda's speech when she knights Link: 100,000 years after Twilight.
We don't give a shit because we skip cutscenes. If I wanted a story I'd go to the movies.
>Also what's the best dub in your opinion?
Latin Spanish
look it up on youtube
>We don't give a shit because
*because you're dumb and don't even fucking notice shit.
Sorry your accent sounds as jumbled as your shepherds pie. Don't give a shit myself because like I said most of US skip cutscenes. Never understood why people care about story in a game.
Like yeah I play monopoly for the story really wanna see how this Boardwalk place plays out under Joshua's landlordship.
>most of US skip cutscenes
source: your autistic ass
British wouldn't notice a Brit faking an American accent if it slapped them upside the face. These things take growing up in a culture to notice, you ignorant shit.
I'm American, I skip cutscenes. The discord I'm in has all Americans, fifty (50) actually, and only 7 of them said they never skip cutscenes. A reliable sample is necessary at 30 participants.
14% of the Americans in my discord who play games don't skip cutscenes; ergo, most Americans skip cutscenes.
It's math, user.
ITT: autistic ameritards sperging out
I must be the only one who likes the voice actress
You are, because it is of worse quality than early youtube Abridged Series dubbings.
Yeah, well, you know, that just like, your opinion, man
It's not a random sample. Take a stats class fuckwit. Guessing that your discord is filled with people just as stupid as you are, hence your "results"
It's not Patricia Summersett's fault she has a man voice
what the fuck is going on with that trannie british voice. Is some british comedian doing the voice or something? Toppest of the keks wtf
er... i am australian and i noticed zelda's fake accent straight away. it sounds ridiculous. you dont have to be british to spot a ridiculous fake british accent.
the game's cool but the voice acting is fucking garbage. only a rabid fanboy faggot would deny this.
She sounds fine in ass creed rogue, she's probably an octave or two outside her normal range
Did you just assume xer gender?
Mipha, Zelda, and Falco all have horrible voice actors. The sand jews are fine though.
Does anyone know where I can find cane sugar? Also, can fairies actually be cooked?
>I can't prove him wrong, so I'll discredit the numbers.
lmao okay friend. Go hop in a knife bin and roll around until you go cold.
From what I can tell, a lot of the Japanese voice acting for townspeople are still intact.
Britbong Zelda was Best chemical weapon waifu from AssCreed?
According to imdb
Fairies are for potions only i think.
Sugar must be bought at stores, check Rito village i think they sell that in there.
No fast travel.
I think the Rito shop has cane sugar, and cooking with fairies turns your cooking into a powerful elixir.
Cane sugar is bought in some general stores. Try checking all the shops in any towns and villages you find. Some travelling merchants have them too.
Fairies aren't "cooked" but you use them up when cooking. The official reason is that the fairy helps you cook and the food will heal way more hearts due to her healing magic, and then the fairy flies away.
>numbers that are proving his point are wrong
>disproving those numbers don't prove his point wrong.

What the fuck are these ancient core drop rates.
I killed over fifteen of those shits and I still dont have enough to finish my fucking helmet, and then you need even more for the actual upgrades.
Jesus Christ.
Question. Took this fucker down today, but I was curious if there's a red and blue variation with lesser versions of the mace, or is it a savage version only?
You're literally better off trying to complete shrines and hoping you find a core in a chest, same for giant cores. If you have an amiibo, some of them spawn cores too.
thats bullshit, I'll just use that shitty guardsman armor until the end of time.
I managed to get the armor, but that's mostly because I beat Ganon and I'm just trying to do side shit now. By that point I had more than enough cores, plus I only need one more giant core to fully upgrade that armor set.
My REAL problem is that I don't have enough goddamn ancient gears They're not exactly hard to get but god I don't feel like grinding for them.
Just do shrines, you find more than enough ancient cores and giant ancient cores to fully max out the set. Star fragments too.
The korok shop in lost woods has cane sugar.
Remember to check dead guardian skeletons. Have found some cores on some of them.
At the very tail end of the Legend of Zelda timeline.
The guardians really shit out those ancient gears, I wish I could trade those for cores.
I'm at like 70 shrines and I somehow managed to avoid those with the cores it seems.
I'm kinda getting ready to just finish the game, kinda sick of those shrines at this point.
Maybe Lynels will be nicer to me and give me their materials for the barbarian set.
I upgraded the set one level and now it wants rarer Lynel drops as well as 10 horns each or something. Its ridiculous, but I suppose you can just go for the weakest versions anyway...
Fuck it, guard set it is.
Why not just upgrade the champion tunic? Its one of the strongest bit of armor by a mile and its not exactly hard to upgrade too.
You got this footage and this idea from the NeoGAF Angry Joe BotW review thread.
you can kill lynels in minute if you are adequately prepared
Easy way to get rupees/mon for anyone interested
>Go to the Lakeside Stable in Faron
>Rest at a campfire until the morning
>Go to the big bridge on the right, over Floria Falls
>9 times out of 10 Farosh will spawn and fly towards you
>Shoot the horn with your bow, collect shard of Farosh's horn when it drops
>Go back to campfire and rest until morning again
Easiest way to get Dark Link set, honestly
Zelda sounds like a 35 year old American girl trying to force herself to sound like the whipped blonde Stark girl in Game of Thrones.
>Grinding to upgrade gear
Why? I got through the game with 15 hearts and base barbarian stuff
Maybe if it upgrading it gave it a new look, but the stats aren't worth the grind at all
Attack up level 3? What grants that? I've only gotten leve 2 attack up myself. Also what the heck is the point of swapping out weapons like that?
Not fond of the second video's method, it looks like it uses up way too many resources
Upgrading gear gives you set bonuses, which are nice. Like the climber gear upgrade bonus is great if you love to climb shit for example. Firebreaker set bonus makes certain shrines a cakewalk since you can just walk through fire blocking your way and it severely decreases how dangerous fire arrows are.
...
Uh, can't remember exactly for the food/elixir, the swapping helps with animations allow you to get way more hits in
you can kill lynels in ~8 seconds if you're well equipped
a guardian axe++ with +45 damage does 283 damage per hit and can hit twice per second by hugging their legs
I could only imagine the carnage a spin2win with such an axe would create
Where do you get ++ weapons from? I've only gotten them from Major Test of Strength shrines but I've never seen out out in the wild from respawning enemies
>we skip cutscenes
>skipping cutscenes
>we
Good method but doesn't sound any fun. Grinding kind of ruins the game for me.
you can repeat those shrines.
REMINDER QUICK GUIDE TO COOKING
cook any of these ingredients on their own:
>hearty durian/radish/snail/fish/truffle
cook any of these ingredients on their own:
>tireless frog, endura carrot, endura shroom
cook these spammable ingredients in multiples:
>4x bananas, razorshroom or razorclaw crab
>4x fleet lotus seeds or 5x swift violet
OR
>4x bananas + 1 dragon horn (or 3x bananas + 1 dragon horn with only 2/3 chance to be +3)
>4x fleet seeds + 1 dragon horn (or 3x fleet seeds + 1 dragon horn for 2/3 chance again)
Dragon horns are easily farmed:
>Create a bonfire under a tree at riola springs (where rain won't put it out)
>Sleep to night, dragon instantly emerges
>Climb tree, jump off tree, shoot horn in slow motion
>Collect horn, relight fire, repeat
>you came to the wrong neighbourhood elf
Enjoy your trash taste. The VAs are fine outside of Mipha. Zelda's has trouble with more subtle scenes, but the scenes where she is excited, angry, or sad, she does well enough. Not great, but calling it shit would be a lie.
...Oh shit, can you? I've repeated some shrines to try and get all the loot and they're usually already solved. Didn't realise I could do them again, its probably a way better way to get guardian items like ancient gears.
Thanks mate
See also for dragon farming, plus you don't even need to light your own fire
Chests never respawn. Enemies with their weapons do.
why'd they have to make her sound like a filthy bong?
>poor little white boy.jpg
Alright I wanna play this, What differences is there between the WiiU version and the switch. Ill probably get a switch down the road but if there isnt any real difference then whats the point of a switch right now?
>not only eating when in town and seated by a fire/in your house and carrying only elixirs around
Casual
>update
>read update details
>post yfw dub options and button mapping also weapons have twice the durability
you can keep relighting a fire for free with a fire weapon, doesn't use durability
Better framerate anf resolution on switch, and it is portable. That is pretty much it.
Playing in bed is mega comfy, though.
There's no real difference between them. The Switch is only worth it as an investment if you like the future titles and Wii U ports. If you already have a Wii U then don't bother.
yea but I can play in bed with the WiiU to bra
Ill Probably get the switch anyway
What update?
Also, what is the rupee limit? I've got like 25k and want to know what the max is
Eh, I am fine with the English dub for the most part, and the durability has literally not been an issue even once. I guess others might be happy, but it just means I will have to throw away weapons even more often.
>Voice acting in a Nintendo game
>Good voice acting
Pick one.
>backwards text
You took this from Angry Joe's review video didn't you
Durability has only been a problem when I'm trying to farm guardians for drops and the master sword is on cool down
True, but only if your main TV is in your bedroom, and not your living room. I also bring it to work, but I know most don't have that luxury.
> relighting a fire for free with a fire weapon, doesn't use durability
How so? Does swinging it not count as a use if its a sword that doesn't strike anything?
>skipping an optional cutscene you went out of your way to find and activate
They acknowledge LttP, OoT, Skyward and Twilight Princess, so it's probably the most recent in the timeline
How about I make this game IMPOSSIBLE to place in the timeline?
Its assumed that other characters are named after the divine beasts because the divine beasts are talked about as being ancient and stuff. Example: Ruto is named after Ruta. This is assumed normally.
However, Urbosa states in the game that its a past legend that Ganon once took the form of a Gerudo (Ganondorf).
In one line of dialogue, Urbosa names Ganondorf as of the past, while her divine beast named Naboris, Nabooru from Ganondorf's time took, took her name from.
Urbosa basically states that a character from the past and a character from the future existed at the same time. How? Anybody able to explain this?
Exactly. Cutting grass is also free. Master sword beams, rod magic, and windcutter slashes are not free, however.
Who is the best Zelda and why is it this one?
>Has an actual personality
>Actually does something
Zelda herself pretty much references previous 3D games in the storyline, by way of a loose paraphrase of their situations/titles.
No, Ruta is named after Ruto, like Naboris is named after Nabooru. There are ancient Zora monuments across the domain that talk about the legend of the ancient princess and sage Ruto.
Wait, what are you even talking about? Which one is the past and which one is the future character? Because Ganondorf and Nabooru are both past characters from the same time.
I agree. always loved having her as your companion. she's actually funny too, laughed my ass off at some of her lines.
Why should I have to when other companies get it right?
Lol, no.
