and it's actually good. I thought it was a shit gimmick with meme artstyle but it's actually a decent game.
Finally a game that makes good use of DS4

You should play Puppeteer, it's yet another great game that Sony left to die with no marketing.
It was way better on the Vita, in my opinion, with the whole piercing the paper with your finger and taking photos and such
It is regardless an unexpectedly great game and made me smile all the way through
The most surprising thing about Tearaway is that it is continuously throwing new mechanics at you. Every hour or so there is a new cute way to play and platform. Really good game, although I will say it all lags a bit once you get to the ocean area.
it was all over the store front and official blog
they marketed it plenty for a niche little budget title game that was coming out 2 months before the ps4 released
what exactly did you expect them to do for the game?
Media molecule is a good hipster company
They even had a commercial for it. I really don't get what he expected these games just don't sell well. LBP was probably the only exception.
>DS4
Nigga, this game blows everything vita made out of the water. Mm is fucking good in my books.
Now I'm waiting for Dreams to release on PS4 then i'll get the PS4.
media molecule is fucked
they are next on the chopping block
if gg cambridge and evolution studios weren't performing well enough for sony, then mm is doomed
they announced dreams before the ps4 was even unveiled, that's a long time to work on a game that is guaranteed to not sale
This 100%
Honestly no one seems to care about dreams
horizon zd had 200% more advertising than Tearaway
if they deliver a good SP campaign it will sell. If it's like Mario Maker "make your levels and share" it's gonna flop.
Play it and finished thx to shitty plus
It's not bad, but it's too fucking long and boring in some point.
Sorry for "engrish"
hopefully that is why they've been so quiet and canceled the beta
they have to know that it can't just be a creator's tool
even big sony fans are mentioning the lack of game whenever they do interviews with mm
It was also aimed at edgy teenagers, while this is a comfy, simple and happy game, which teenagers hate
faggot
Problem with dreams: too complex for people
Nah it lacks brand fame and it doesn't look like it has the charm LBP has
It's a great game, shame the stop motion-esque aesthetic it has creeps me out,
Horizon target is edgy teenagers? that was bloodborne. Horizon is a game without a specific target audience other than the mainstream media
He's right
BB for edgy teen?
Horizon is aimed to dude bros epic kind of people
more faggot posts
Why is Horizon target dudebros like the 360 gears of war crowd?
The game was reated 12 or 14 in most countries. Even the voice acting is decent (no angry white whores screaming)
I don't see how your speculation of my sexual orientation has anything to do with the argument
>Horizon is a game without a specific target audience
That is not how marketing works, I'm afraid
Bloodborne was aimed for a similar audience too, yes, but considering how little ad presence it had, it was more aimed at From Software fans than anything
Preordered this on Vita and was my 2013 GOTY. A shame only like 20 people played it before it got remastered on PS4 where yet another 20 people played it.
Should I bother reconnecting my PS$ camera for this? I played the demo a while back and remember it used the camera.
Bloodborne had massive ads you redditor.
youtube.com
6m views for a fucking tv ad
Shame it kinda takes away the "YOU" element in the PS4 version since there's no built in camera, though you can connect one
As silly and childish as it was, I actually felt like I was a significant part of the adventure
Unfolded's biggest issue is that it really needs you to play it with a PS Camera.
It's fully optional but you really miss out without one.
Dreams really just seems like a glorified tech demo. It should have been in demos on the floor when the PS4 was announced, not a game for four year old console that still hasn't released.
I am still livid about Dreams. I just wanted a AAA Yume Nikki, you know?
Tearaway was a really nice experience, but I feel like your way of interacting with the world was much more natural on the Vita, but the managed to adapt the game very well on PS4. And they really expanded the world too.
Yeah, if you played the vita version, and then started the PS4 version, looking up to the sky and not seeing your fat ugly neet face in the sun feels completely wrong.
I literally played unfolded for like 10 minutes, went to the store and bought a PS camera, and continued playing.
if you are going to play it and already own the camera, then why not go for it
Views on a youtube video don't warranty ad presence. I'm talking about actual ads not ones you need to look up yourself
>It's fully optional but you really miss out without one.
?
I'm a huge LittleBigPlanet fan and honestly the main thing that deflates my hype about Dreams is not having a constant avatar. I really loved customizing and having my own personal Sackboy to grow attached to. You can supposedly customize that little cursor imp thing but it's not gonna even be close to as good.
Oh and also we don't know what the "game" part of Dreams is. Hell, we've only really seen sculptures and if you dig deep enough you may find actual gameplay. What's the story mode like? Is it gonna be a platformer? An adventure game? Is it gonna be some ungodly genre mishmash tech demo for the creation suite?

GOREBOURRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
It's not required for the PS4 version, but was a pretty significant part of the game on the Vita
Think of it like side quests
Wrong thread?
In Tearaway, your face is meant to appear in the sun as a tear that has opened between their world and ours. The main objective is to deliver a message to you in the sun. It relies heavily on breaking the fourth wall and addressing the player directly, and not having your face live in game really subtracts from this setup.
Tearaway wasn't for me. I usually don't mind colorful games but here, it was clearly made for children (which is not a bad thing, just that I could not get used to it).
I mean, I liked a few levels (between the pages, the traveller), the art and the music (especially the music), not the rest.
The story was underwhelming, as was the voice acting (man, that ending with the child voice was so tiring), the gameplay wasn't great (but yeah, it used well the dualshock 4, except for those paper wheels at the end), the game was too easy and had a bunch of flaws (camera, collisions), sidequest were just bad and the creation tool was bad (I will be harsh but I think that's the only thing MM can do well, and they didn't this time - but hey, manchild will laugh when they make a penis instead of a crown).
>Dreams really just seems like a glorified tech demo
I disagree
as a creator tool, it is really fucking impressive and is capaple of more than just lbp or mario maker or tilt brush
and that has some real value to it for a niche group of fans. a tool like that is more than "just a demo"
the problem is, there's not really a market for that outside the group
people expect a game, and there is a sever lack of that shown off
See, that's cool and everything but I need to see how this works in the context of an actual video game that you can play, not just scene building.
