Anyone playing this shit? I played and beat one but it was pretty meh, is this any better? I'm dying to play MH lately and it's a huge plus that it's available on Steam

i got it on ps4

Just pirate it on PC

I would but I mostly care about the multiplayer

>mfw I'm one of like 4 people on the steam forums that can't get the game to launch no matter what

does it have denuvo

how does it compare to the first one?

it doesn't pirate fag

Would love to if the shit wouldn't crash on startup

No those are only the 4 that decided to post. There's more of us out there.

will there ever be a general for this on /vg/

Apparently for some people it runs on the integrated card, did you try manually setting it to run on your gpu?

Don't have an integrated card so I don't get an option for that.

It's like a much worse MH, don't bother

Try it through the NVIDIA control panel, had this happen with overwatch after a patch. It was running off my mobo for some reason instead of my card. Just modify the exe under manage 3d settings

but what if i enjoy both

then you're alright

I'm loving the game anyways. It does have some high cpu usage is the only thing I've noticed.

The bulk of the people bitching about the game are whining that it doesn't support 4k resolution or let them use their keyboard/mouse. Not sure why they'd fucking want to but whatever. Than there's the people with the genuine issues like it not launching or multiplayer problems, but there's only a unlucky few with those problems.

2 improves on 1 overall but the core gameplay flow is the same just with an open world and new monsters. Some movesets got changed too and the new weapons and demon arm are pretty neat.

If you weren't digging the first one that much though I doubt this will really change your mind.

Reading through the steam forums made me realize why people hate pc gamers. Holy shit how entitled can you be? We shouldy be lucky this game runs on 60 fps at all.

It seems like the only big universal bug is some furnace crashing the game, they'll definitely need to patch that within a day or two and hopefully have something for the launch problems

Yeah pretty much. Bunch of little shits bitching about stupid problems. I feel for anyone crashing on launch though, it did that to me on my initial load of the game and my heart stopped. Worked fine the second time though.

>ordered release day delivery, amazon prime
>notification: delivered today 9am
>10pm, still nothing in my mailbox

Pretty fucking pissed. Not the first time my mail carrier fucked up. Recently too. Cant tell if they're too fucking retarded to put it in the right box, or if they're intentionally just not delivering it, but marking it as delivered anyway.

Man I tried every other weapon, even liked some of them. But in the end I always go back to my love of spinning around like some kind of retarded top and landing a fuckbillion shitty hits per second with the daggers. It's just the most fun for me.

Im still at work and wont be able to play until later this evening but have you played PSO2? Do the daggers here work like that? I've tried Naginata last night and it was pretty fun but Id like to try on a dps build.

I'm enjoying that whip chain. I initially used the Sickle and Chain, but it felt like most of my hits missed. Especially if the ground was sloped at all.

Getting a bit disappointed by the Mitama though now that I'm a bit farther in, getting 3 of the same type with pretty minor differences made me go what.

For me nothing beats using Speed mitamas with Gauntlets. Flurry is fun as fuck.

the mail man sometimes scans all of the packages in the morning then delivers it in the afternoon to avoid scanning one by one had this happen a few times or someone jacked it

All the footage I've watched of this shows the monsters not moving an inch the whole fight.

How's the PC port and how easy is this game? I heard it's babby mode MH.

sauce?

Well, I picked it up. I enjoyed the atmosphere, setting and music of the first a lot. The thing that got me was killing the same 5 monsters over and over but not enough to stop me from playing it. Ended up getting it on steam, runs well and looks p good so far

I can't get used to the Gauntlets, the timed hits mechanic on everything really fucks me over. It's a shame since I agree that Flurry is great if you get a good opening, but I always feel like I'm doing Gauntlets wrong since I can barely get 50% timed hits, if even that.

I think it's so you can make precisely the build you want. Yeah there's technically "only" 10 Mitama types, but that's honestly already quite enough to make a wide variety of builds. For instance, right now I'm focusing on a build that does nothing but amp up Contagion to be really grossly overpowered and last forever, and it's really fun and cool to use.
