Are there any games that have motivated you to better your life in some way (get /fit/, become a good or social person, etc)?
Are there any games that have motivated you to better your life in some way (get /fit/, become a good or social person...

none off the top of my head, on the other hand referring to your pic, i just started a new file of TWEWY after years of not playing it, still a really fun game
did TWEWY make you want to be a more fashionable person in life or something
not at all
Persona 4 made me want to become more outgoing and make friends.
CSGO motivated me to finally kill myself
I wish I was naturally attracive as brotag.
Exact opposite. Video games are where I dumped all my time when I had no friends and stayed home all day every day. Now I hang out with people and work out with my buds several days a week, so I have much less time for vidya.
Oh fucking wow, I was just listening to TWEWY's soundtrack too.
I really fucking love Deja Vu, Both versions of gang twister and the live version of Three Hands Clapping.
But really, pretty much the whole soundtrack is amazing. I wish there was some TWEWY apparel or something, I'd wear a shirt or something with the skull on it.
This, unironically.
Playing through P4, I had this weird breakthrough, just staring at Brotag's stat screen. I realized that almost everything in social life pretty much boiled down to a person's diligence. People hate fuckers who are lazy. The person who says "I'm going to watch this movie for you" and then never does. The person who says "I'll call you to hang out" but then doesn't. The people who say "Yeah, lets make a plan around this! It'll be great fun!" and then don't show up the day of. Those are the scum of society.
After playing it, I worked on improving my own diligence, making sure to not quit and to remember people's promises and work with them until the end. After that, I had so many friends that I became sick of them. Utterly sick.
I've been thinking about getting /fit/ and getting "The World Ends With You" in japanese tattoo'd on my arm for awhile now.
Anyone who's ever touched a DS should play it
I asked this before and got no answer, but which method of playing TWEWY on mobile is better? Solo Mix or emulation through Drastic on my S6?
For the last 5 years (13 and 18) I fully believe that CSGO's competitive mode made me more mature, if only because it was and remains the most frustrating thing in existence.
DS
I wish it had a second file, I want to replay it but don't want to rest my near 100% file.
Soundtrack is freaking amazing, Three Minutes Clapping is the catchiest thing I've ever heard. Apparel would be cool, a player pin badge I got at comicon is pretty good though
>"The World Ends With You" in japanese
I hope you mean the Japanese title. Because they didn't call it The World Ends with You in Japan. It's called It's a Wonderful World.
>sick
how come? Just curious. I've NEVER had friends
Persona 3 for me but same thing.
Then I try talking to people, and they've already got this preconceived notion about me, and my talking weirds them out, and I go back to be a loner again.
Sup Forums helped me improve my life. After all these years, watching every post makes me realize that I'm now too old to act as retarded as you all. Now all that's left is to leave this place.
Yeah, that. Honestly though both's fine, if someone were to see it and knew how to do a direct translation the former would come off better, but the latter is truer to the series.
I dunno.
Nope. Not even a little bit.
i actually did just reset my near 100% file, playing alongside a few friends and wanted to experience the game again, might try and go all the way and get 100% this time, was only missing two pin drops from the ultimate boss
Because I spent a good 24 years of my life living completely isolated from anyone. Even though I find it hard to sit in silence around someone for a long time, I've genuinely come to love my alone time.
One of the problems with having friends, and the reason I've come to understand that "normies" are so stupid, is because friends eat up a LOOOOT of your free time. A LOT of it. You barely have any time to learn anything new, and god forbid trying to challenge yourself in any meaningful way when all of the people around you get bored and quit if you make them "think too hard" (aka remind them of their own mental inadequacies).
I've actually got some pins on my bag. In about 5 years only 3 people have told me they got it.
>normies
holy shit I forgot they existed for a moment, now it all makes sense. It's a shame that most IRL people aren't as interesting and alive as fictional characters.
...
Nobody would get it if it were a direct translation. If you really want to be weeb, just go with Subarashiki Kono Sekai.
I played Mario Galaxy in preperation of 2 and it ended up making me love videogames again.
Then I ended up hating 2. It was made by a different team and it shows.
>One of the problems with having friends, and the reason I've come to understand that "normies" are so stupid
Are you smart user? Prove it
Why would you ask someone to watch a movie for you
HAIRSPRAY QUEENS GO ON TO THEIR NEST
THE WEST
Nah.
"Hey, bro, what? You've never seen this movie? Did you need to watch it! Here, let me lend you my copy!"
Not one for resetting my save files, only £20 for a new copy so one day. I think one of my friends played like half of it, tried to get a few others into it but they never did.
Whats a hairspray queen?
funny enough sims got me into the whole property ownership, home improvement and normie hoarding that I was never really interested in before.
I can't be assed to be fashionable because I'm overweight. It just feels like wasted effort. Like putting makeup on a monkey or some shit, I'll still look bad.
I'll be buying myself good clothes when I'm 15kgs down, from 90 to 75
Nobody does that. At the very most they would say "you should watch it if you can- it's great!" And then maybe you would talk about why, or move onto something else.
They would not autistically give you a dvd (nobody owns those anymore anyway) and insist you take hours if time to watch it. That just makes them silly and stupid
T. Has had friends off and on
>Frogposters
>Pretending to know how real life people act
You even see this shit happen in anime, you stupid tard. You literally have no excuse.
What I'm more surprised about is how the hell does your backpack lasts for 5 years.
Going to college by subway has completely trashed my 1 year old backpack
>tfw twig so all clothes look too big on me
>tfw parents forced me to get a trainer at the gym
>i never gained any muscle
>i still look like a holocaust victim
I feel the same way about fashion
Shut up and also video games
HONEST
THEY ONCE HAD A DREAM
That reminds me, I need to somehow get a badge set of the Darklit planets,
PSYCHO CANE
YOU'RE SO KEEN
>not having a backpack that lasts 10+ years
I've been trying to get in shape so I can be Revolver Ocelot. Some people that I was quoting Metal Gear with said I reminded them of him because no one knows what the fuck my goals and motivations are and I make a habit of being unpredictable. I wasn't really sure how to interpret that but I like Ocelot so whatever.
I also want to get a motorcycle and be like one of those bad guys in the movies.
TIME
yeah i was a bit reluctant to reset it myself but i figured it wouldn't matter since i hadn't touched it in years. I only ever got my best friend into the game and he loves it, we're currently trying to get a few of our other friends into it currently which is why we're all playing it
Ooparts is probably my favorite song from the OST.
Not really, but playing a competitive game and being good at it and getting praise for that gives you a little confidence boost, but that's about it.
>Are there any games that have motivated you to better your life in some way
That would require me to play video games.
nah. I keep saying I want to get /fit/ so I can pull off cosplays of characters like Axel Stone and Brad Wong but I'm too much of a lazy shit and give myself the excuse i'll stop slacking off once i move out of my parents' house.
Chrono Cross was the first game I've played until the end after I learned a little bit of english. I fell in love with the story, the characters, the world and the marvelous music. I tried to copy some of the virtues my favorites character displayed and it worked quite nicely until I couldn't do that anymore.
Its literally all magic for him, he was a nobody in his home town and then the gift he got gave him the social power inherent of Persona as well as the spiritual power
Such a weird song, catchy though
OOPARTS
COLD HEARTS
SO DARK
THO'FIND THE MARK
Sweet, sounds cool
I WON'T EVER GIVE IN
Some games helped me have a positive look about life while I was growing up and this always helps when your life is a mess.
yeah it should be fun, when was the first time you played it
I was already starting to exercise, but Katawa Shoujo helped motivate me to keep running.
See you again tomorrow user~
About five years ago I think. First saw it in a Nintendo magazine when it came out, took some interest in it I think, and then went and got it years later (forget why), and a dam good decision that was
Damn, man. I've been looking for a jrpg with as much heart as this one for 5 years and nothing has come close.
Wish they'd stop making Kingdom Hearts remaster #4857 and make a sequel
Persona 3 Introduced me to Fuuka, and she made me push myself to become someone that could make her happy.
Does that count?
Are they still in the game. Why isn't Neku with his waifu
it's super funny i think i actually found it through a nintendo magazine as well, definitely one of my best decisions to pick it up, one of my fav games ever
But thread, I thought you couldn't afford to die. Give up on yourself, and you give up, on the board.
Katawa Shoujo made me able to dice a potato with my eyes closed. Does that count?
You can always buy pins.
Pretty funny indeed
...
It's really enlightening to see how much better some other people perform when you connect through StreetPass. Kawashima's lectures motivate me to train my brain.
playing fighting games motivated me to go to locals and I met nice people there who like to play game
Those are pretty obscure. If you had a skull one, it'd be more recognizable. But also maybe mistaken for something else.
