Why the fuck is this piece of shit still $200? It has no fucking games but it would be kind of nice to have to play PSP games since my psp is showing its age, but kind of nice isn't worth 200

The vita price is fine, the real problem is the fucking memory cards.
>hurrr no games
Then just buy another PSP, dumbshit.
you can get a ps4 uncharted bundle for 250. 200 for the vita is ridiculous
Buy it used. Don't want it used? Go buy something else. Don't want to pay for anything? Go play on your phone. GTFO and stop being a bitch
get a PSTV you fucking retarded ass OP
Dunno. Managed to snag an OLED version for that price in 2013.
That said, it is the ONLY handheld I've ever owned that I have found to be worth it, even when you take into consideration that I purchased the 64gb memory stick and spent 25 bucks for the PSTV (it's actually pretty nice if you have a good tv and aren't expecting it to be a full-featured console).
>buy a pstv on Amazon for $40
>install henkaku
>set up USB mass storage
>hoard games
Just do it. You can use thumb drives, hard drives, sd cards with USB adapters, etc.
Considering that there are more games I want to play on the Vita than there are on the PS4, AND the fact that I got the Destiny Taken King console without the Destiny game for 200 bucks about 6 months ago, I would be of the opinion that the OLED Vita with a decent sized memory card would be worth about 200 bucks.
What about the portability?
used vitas go for $100 now bruh
craigslist and ebay have parents that barely touch them sell them for a steal price
Wait, they make non-OLED Vitas now?
for years now dude, OLED model was discontinued in 2013. all Vitas come with LCD now.
that useless piece of shit can't even run all vita games
A worthwhile sacrafice.
install whitelist hack, 99% of the library opens up.
only games that don't work are shitty games like little deviant which need the Vita camera
They have for like the past 3-4 years. OLED has been discontinued, and the LCD looks really bad in comparison (both the screen, and the console itself). The LCD version just looks slapped together, with actual seams around the screen portion.
Just get a Switch instead
>no games machine with its only game being emulatable on CEMU
LOL
Games that require the touchscreen are unplayable on the PSTV. I honestly have no idea how people would be able to play shit like Gravity Rush on the Vita.
I got the PSTV for about 25 bucks, and it was worth it to be able to play Persona 4 Golden and all those PS Classics with a dual shock 4, but it's a poorly thought out system.
I'm not interested in it, and won't be until there is a new mario kart, a new smash, a new Xenoblade X, a new Zelda, AND all the VC titles available on the Wii/Wii U also transferable to the Switch.
I'm guessing that's gonna be a LONG fucking wait, if it happens at all.
Let go user, the Vita is dead, even Sony doesnt acknowledge it, the Switch is its successor.
i would if they were in stock anywhere
I bought one a few months ago and even spent the money for a 64gb card. I think it's worth it. Their are some good sales with games for just a couple bucks.
Sure the library is small but I never had a PSP or PS1 so I'm enjoying playing all of those games as well.
Piano black looks fucking awful with plastic, that's why. With white you can see all the lines and details instead of just a smudge of finger prints.
you can use the touchpad on a dualshock 4 controller as the touchscreen controls dumbass
Where does the Wii U fall into that? Genuinely curious if the Switch is actually more powerful than the Wii U.
Hahahah I cant even find a 3ds in my state. Reminds me of the Wii days.
Just buy the new Vita, the Nintendo Switch.
That looks awful.
Maybe there's a system setting that allows that, but it's not available immediately upon plugging it in. If you know a way to make it work, I'm all ears, as it would be nice to be able to play Binding of Issac and Gravity Rush on the PSTV.
>hands blocking joycon sensors
>sensitivity goes out of whack
I'll sell you mine, if you want. It's midnight purple.
>tfw comfy grips are $60 now
shoulda bought them when they were $10
Maybe no triple A meme games. I just came back from Japan and it has a ridiculous amount of games over there for it. Wish they'd localise them.
According to IGN, the Wii U can push 400-500 Gflops.
Thanks kind user, but I was looking for the new 3ds for my nephew. He isnt in a hurry as he picked up a Switch.
Oh, so it takes you modding the system with 3rd party shit? Fuck that.
Never had any issues with my Switch.
if you don't have henkaku, why the fuck do you have a PSTV anyways
waste of money you spent faggot
I hate to break it to you but installing a whitelist is hacking territory.
No biggie. Thing has been collecting dust since 3 days after LBW (got the Vita, put the game down, and never felt the urge to pick it up again). I wouldn't mind selling it at a reasonable price to someone that would give it some love. I even have a shit ton of accessories for it.
Are those really comfy? The placement of the analog with that grip doesnt seem that great?
Damn, I got mine years ago so I hadn't followed production. That sucks.
Is there an attachment that adds L2/L3 & R2/R3 buttons?
Also find it funny how everyone is going gaga over the switch while I've been playing my PS4 in bed on my vita for years now. Inb4 anyone will actually take these things out in public. Even in Japan on the trains, I only saw fat nurds have the lack of self respect to whip out a 3DS/Vita.
>$40 for a indie game
worse scam than Vita memory cards
Damn thats a lot of stuff! Arent you interested in any new games on the 3ds? Fire Emblem Echoes is coming as well as a remake of Radiant Historia. Might be worth holding on to it if you dont have a second 3ds.
The Vita Slim is to the Vita what the PS3 Super Slim is to the fully BC launch console (presuming that there was no difference in failure rates).
Anyone who got stuck with the LCD screen is paying the same for a decidedly worse console. The only perk that you could argue is that the Slim Vita has a micro USB port instead of Sony's proprietary port (making accessories like the charging stand worthless).
You can tell youre younger than 25 as you have no connect to that manual and what it represents.
It literally hurts my hands to hold for more than 15-20 minutes. I don't have big hands or anything, but I'm 30 years old, and I just couldn't justify forcing that kind of pain on me to play the games, and I wasn't impressed enough with the console to get the XL version.
Vita slim also comes with 1GB of internal storage so you aren't forced to buy a memory card to save your games like the OLED Vita. The device is also lighter and lasts 1 hour longer in terms of battery life. It makes the device more suitable as a portable.
>no games
Why are you interested in buying a console if it doesn't have games that call your attention?
I just bought my second Vita, due to my first being 3.63. Bought 3.60 for henkaku and playing games I missed out on and not willing to buy.
>hurr my NES Zelda throwback
shut the hell up you fucking loser
$40 for a years old late indie port is still a ripoff
I had the same problem, im 38, solved it by using the new 3ds xl with the grip. Never had pain again. The older model really hurt my hands badly.
1GB isn't enough for anyone looking to use the thing as anything more than a single game machine. As for the power consumption, it's never been a big deal for me. I've never spent 6 hours away from a USB port, and with one of those USB condoms, you can charge your vita while playing with any generic 2.1 amp charger.
Most handhelds wound up being something I regretted buying, with the Vita ironically being the sole exception.
I'm not dropping more money on the handheld. I appreciate the advice, and know that it comes from a good place, but I'm just not interested, especially considering that the Switch could push the N3DS into an early grave.
1GB is enough for save data if you use physical games but if you plan on hoarding digital games or updates/DLC then you're going to need something bigger.
But still Vita slim has obvious advantages over the OLED. Longer battery, weighs less so your hands don't get tired during long gaming sessions, easier to press, start/select buttons.
LCD is also better than OLED when it comes to playing outside. The screen glare isn't as atrocious. The tradeoff is less vibrant colors but it's okay because the LCD is IPS and it's hard to tell the difference unless you stack a OLED and LCD next to each other in person.
Yeah I hope so too, getting a Switch is definitely a better investment, especially since it gives you the option to play on the TV. Plus that pro controller is god-tier, might be the best controller nintendo has ever made.
...
How do the OG and Slim Vitas compare to the PSP1000 in terms of battery life?
>copying from Vita card to external USB at a blistering 6000 KB/s
at least I can sell my 64GB card for like $100
depends on what you do on the devices but Vita generally lasts for 4-5 hours in uncharted while PSP is 5-6 hours in monster hunter
pro controller feels like 3d printed shit and it's also way overpriced. 80 canada bucks for a controller wtf
The Wii U Pro Controller is better, in my opinion, even if the Switch Pro has motion controls (I've not tried to use it for motion controls; only held it for a second).
Honestly, though, I prefer the Xbox/PS controller model. With the exception of the Duke, you can pick up any Sony controller and feel right at home if you're familiar with Sony controllers, and any Xbox controller and feel right at home if you're familiar with Xbox controllers.
Nintendo "revolutionizing" their controller every fucking cycle is just tiresome.
oversizepdp grips are like $20 online

I did
new comfy grips for $20
I've been waiting for this thing to go down to $25 like the Dreamcast did. It's dead. WHY ISN'T THE PRICE GOING DOWN?
$100 for OLED Vita
prices are only going up since henkaku
Anyone knows where can i get cheap US PSN cards? i live in asia and cards are expensive af
I want to get one because I'm getting a ps4 and I'm interested in remote play.
There are only 3 interesting games for me on vita: Muramasa rebirth, persona 4 golden and Shiren the wanderer, but I can play those on the vita tv I gave to my cousin
>I'm interested in remote play.
Not that great unless you have very good internet speed.
G2A?
Reminder that Persona 4 golden is the only game worth a damn that hasn't been ported to PS4 yet.
Gravity Rush and soon Wipeout both got hd remastered ports for PS4.
