>where am I at?
Post-game
>Are you enjoying yourself?
I don't see the point of playing after the story ended, but I did enjoy myself immensely when playing it
>most /fa/
Anything other than barbarian is wrong
>next Zelda
BotW exploration with OOT/TP dungeons, but instead of one of items the dungeon items are used in the overworld as well (some shrines locked behind items)

Carry over the weapon durability (but increase it by 2x and make swapping not pause the game), the shrines (but make them have different aesthetics) and the open world

>Story
Epilogue. Prologue is all in the past, who cares?
>hard mode
Add larger groups and more advanced tier enemies

>where are you at?
Looking for an endura carrot to revive my dead horse ;_;
>are you enjoying yourself?
More than any game I've played in quite some time
>what is the most /fa/ set?
Champions Tunic, Diamond Circlet, Snowquill Trousers
>what do you want the next Zelda to be like? Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT? Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?
The game should use the same physics engine as this, and have the same open world, it's be good if we got another part of the world to explore, what's west of Gerudo? Let's go there and see.
>what are your hopes for the story and hard mode DLC?
After Ganon story adventuring with Zelda. Not so bothered by hard mode.

Wait carrots are needed to revive your horse? I thought it was free

I hope they stop making giant open world games after this. it's gotten too much. shooters can die out too.

Anyone know where to farm lots of Bokoblin guts?

I slaughter legions of these things but the guts drops seem to be pretty rare like 1/6 or less. Also seems dependent on their level.

1000 rupees to free the Horse Spirit, that time she'll revive your horse for "free", the second time she asks for 1 endura carrot.

Don't know about after that, hopefully no more of my horses die. RIP in peace, Swifdar

Can't wait to play it when 1.7.4 gets released

>where you at?
Right about to storm Hyrule Castle

>Enjoying yourself?
Immensely. BotW has knocked off Metroid Prime as my no.1 game of all time. I sort of get the massive amount of 10/10s now. It's the fact that IN SPITE of all the little niggles, the amount of enjoyment you get out of BotW far outstrips any of the meagre complaints you could throw at it. It's not that the criticisms aren't valid, but generally, (at least in my case) they affect your overall play experience so little they don't matter in the long run.

>most /fa/
Hylian Hood, Champion's Tunic, Soldier's Greaves

>Next Zelda?
Majora's Mask style sequel. Same physics engine, but different ideas. I don't particularly care whether they keep the Divine Beasts or return to traditional dungeons, but they need to be more lengthy/difficult next time round. At least equal across the board to the level of Noboris. But honestly, if all they made next were expansions to BotW along the lines of the Witcher 3 expansions, I'd still be a happy camper.

>DLC
Would like story to either be an extensive prequel or epilogue. No idea for hard mode.

>where are you at?
Post-game 95 shrines 150 seeds.
>are you enjoying yourself?
Yes.
>what is the most /fa/ set?
Desert Voe
>what do you want the next Zelda to be like?
DESU I don't know.
Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT?
BotW
Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?
It it should carry the exploration and I don't know what it shouldn't carry, but it can work on it's weak points.
>what are your hopes for the story and hard mode DLC?
Can't pause the game in hard mode, the story actually happens after Ganon is defeated.

...

The Italian version of the game removed a part of the marriage speech.
The part about naming the children was nowhere to be seen. I'm pretty pissed about this.

I'm done with it. All shrines cleared, all sidequests complete, compendium complete, all memories found, all horse gear, all gear upgraded to max level except a handful of accessories I don't want to farm star fragments for. Only 2 hundred something korok seeds but I have more than enough inventory space and there's no way I'm tracking down all 900. I could go for the miniboss medals but I don't care enough.

Great game. Not expecting much from the DLC.

Huh, why?

That's strange

what marriage ?
Please spoil me.

The areas around the great plateau (grasslands) seem to have a lot of bokoblins

>>where are you at?
Main quest done, now trying to hunt for side quests and shrines
>>are you enjoying yourself?
I thought I would get bored after beating the game, but I'm still having lots of fun.
>>what is the most /fa/ set?
I'm a pleb so green hood + hylian shirt + Rito pants
>>what do you want the next Zelda to be like? Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT? Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?
I love the open world and the freedom it gives you BUT the next game should have more plot, traditional dungeons, enemy variety and give more sense of progression. I like having all the necessary tools from the start, but at the same time, I like seeing a place I can't reach now and thinking 'I'll come back here when I have the right item' kind of like in Metroidvania games.
>>what are your hopes for the story and hard mode DLC?
Hopefully we get a prequel story where you interact with the princess and the Champions. That or finding a way to bring them back to life in the present. Never going to happen but I can dream.

>tfw 120 hours in and still finding new places

>one of items the dungeon items are used in the overworld as well (some shrines locked behind items)

That's antithetical to the game's design. If the sequel is going to remain open world, it should give you all the tools you need to succeed at the beginning and allow your creativity in handling those tools to determine your success in the world. That is BOTW's biggest accomplishment. Besides the tutorial at the very beginning, there's never a point where you have to leave what you're doing to go get that one item that opens up the area or makes the challenge beatable. If you have a good understanding of your environment, your tools, and your resources, you can overcome just about any challenge.

The sequel should push this design principle even further by adding more tools with more emergent effects, not by falling back on linear design principles.

The one between Riju and Sidon.

The ability to infinitely heal in frozen time is fucking killing me, why can I eat 500 apples whenever I get an ouchie, the only dangerous thing in the game is a one shot

Also this game makes combat not rewarding since you only lose and never gain anything of use. If there was XP or something it would make sense but nope your reward for fighting is literally nothing

Still, I'm having more fun than expected

>where are you at?
I've beaten the elephant-like machine. And a dozen temples. I have found 15 seeds.
>are you enjoying yourself?
Yes, very much.
>what is the most /fa/ set?
That knight set. But I use the sheikah set for stealth.
>what do you want the next Zelda to be like? Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT? Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?
oldschool dungeon. and after a while it would be nice to find unbreakable weapon. and be able to fix the used ones.

>where are you at?
Had to make a desk for my gf so I still have to buy the game but I have no money since that is in the desk.
>are you enjoying yourself?
Looks fun.
>what is the most /fa/ set?
I don't know.
>what do you want the next Zelda to be like? Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT? Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?
Ocarina of time. It's cool to have an open world, but it takes the soul a bit from zelda. For as I have seen.
>what are your hopes for the story and hard mode DLC? No dlc at all, just let them focus on the good aspects of the game and make a new one

Gather those materials, user. You need them for clothing upgrades.

How can Riju be Urboza's daughter ?
Have they fucked up longevity like Zoras ?

Post-game, all shrines and 300 korok seeds deep, looking for a non-shrine quest I missed? What the fuck?

Hell yes.

Climbing Bandana + Switch shirt + hylian pants

I want a BotW 2 immediately

More, just more

>Dodge archers attacks
>Pick up his arrows
>After you collect five the arrows just disappear on impact
Why?

>How can Riju be Urboza's daughter ?

Because she isn't, you fucking retard.

user's pulling your leg. Marriage refers to one that takes place in Tarrey Town between two NPCs. Happens along a sidequest.

>Post game
FUCK OFF GUYS
Zeld needs no post game
Stop shilling it.

Presumably so you cannot farm them too easily.

>dodging arrows
Just let them hit your wooden shield to collect them, man.

So you can't farm them infinitely?

That's where I am, user...

What's wrong with being able to collect arrows easily?

But they can shoot them infinitely?

Played about 85 hours according to what Switch tells me.

Haven't even uncovered half the map yet.

Currently clearing up Gerudo town to get the helmet. Do I also have to help all Gerudos outside of the town? If yes, how many are there?

you guys are really enjoying this

i'm really jealous

>where are you at?
Second play through, about ten hours in
>are you enjoying yourself?
Yes, more than i ever have with a video game in the past
>what is the most /fa/ set?
Zora armour
>what do you want the next Zelda to be like? Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT? Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?
I'd be entirely happy if we didn't get a new Zelda for the foreseeable future and instead they kept expanding this. Having said that I'd like a new one to be in this direction but more story heavy.
>what are your hopes for the story and hard mode DLC?
Hoping that it's a big piece of story dlc, like twenty hours or so with new locations.

Why bother posting?

You know your game looks like shit when you have a hard time differentiating the water and low floor textures. I mean seriously..

No just the town

>What's wrong with being able to collect arrows easily?
I guess the game designers don't want you to drown in them, making arrow pickups meaningful all the way through.

It is a weird case of balancing over realism, but I suppose I can see where they are coming from. Would be fun if enemies could run out of arrows, but then they would be much less dangerous since there usually are not enough melee weapons for everyone in a camp, and if there were you could just grab them before. As it is now, archers would be way too easy to stall out of arrows if arrows were a finite ressource for them.So archers would need to be much better for such a mechanic to be implemented, which might be frustrating maybe? I am really just rambling at this point.

DING DING DING DING
DING DING DING DING

I guess then I still missed some. From the top of my hat I helped the crying girl, got back the missing soldier, brought the flintstones to the jewelier, got into the hidden store and bought everything there (though without getting the password, I knew it from a friend's safefile).

What am I missing? I think there was someone who wanted to bake a cake or something? Or was that another town?

Borrow a friend's console. More than likely if he's done with Zelda he's not doing anything else with it.

>>where are you at?

Blood Moon Shrine

>>are you enjoying yourself?

Too much, I'm procrastinating with this game

>>what is the most /fa/ set?

Desert Voe

>>what do you want the next Zelda to be like? Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT? Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?

More Dungeons, better bosses (who don't share themes) and generally more of everything especially cutscenes and character development

>>what are your hopes for the story and hard mode DLC?

Develop the Champions and Link

I agree with all this apart from barbarian set.
anything other than hylian or armour for combat is stupid and negates the point of elixirs and food buffs.

Post game too, 303 koroks, no need for finding more really, Enjoyed the game immensly while playing, looking forward to hero mode as it got too easy late game.
We NEED a second save file ability though as I don't want to loose all my progress to play again from the start in hero mode.

Weapons, shields runes and bows should have been able to be quick changed by tapping the d-pad and hold for select.

>Looking for an endura carrot to
they are around all the fairies.
go to kakariko fairy they are behind the trees behind the spring.
fyi if you give a carrot to your horse you get extra temp spurs.

Medicinal Molduga

you can kill a molduga or just raid Hyrule Castle's dining hall

Oh, yeah, I got that one aswell. Must be something else.

It was really fun to eagle jump above those sand fish and then 5hko them in mid-air with a 5 shot lynel bow. Though i really don't know how to beat them properly. You can't really dodge them, can you?

It's cool looking as fuck, who cares about utility? It's an /fa/ choice after all

Hardest part of attempting Ganon before anything else was getting my horse away from the castle alive. So many fucking lasers.

>where you at?
Not sure. I kinda just unlocked memories from Impa but I've been fucking around on the side - my last jaunt was climbing to the top of hyrule castle and flying towards the lost woods. I'm now at the deku tree.
>are you enjoying yourself?
A little too much. Unexpected shit will happen out of nowhere or I'll figure out how to use certain items like the korok leaf and that's pretty neat.
>most /fa/ set?
nigga I haven't got anything past two parts of the barbarian set.
>Next Zelda?
That's tough. I think maybe having proper OOT style dungeons with BOTW open world could be cool if climbing mechanics didn't ruin it. Climbing/gliding is really fun but sorta feels like I'm breaking the game with it.
>DLC?
There's story/hard mode coming?

gotta help teh gerudo at lovers pond too I think. And do the 7 heroines shrine quest and the woman to the far east who wants a drink shrine quest.
Eavesdrop on the bar for more info if you need to.

She's not even trying anymore

>with OOT/TP dungeons
This meme needs to die really fast.

youtube.com/watch?v=BTsgWepH3GY

OoT and TP dungeon design was atrocious

Seriously? Why so?

Not criticizing, I didn't like the barbarian looks, or the OP stats.
I wore undyed hylian for most of the game, I liked the idea of link being a no one in the world rather than the centre of attention.
Champ tunic is too annoying with a technical wall hack ability.

What do I do with the shrine thing that wants me to "cast a cold shadow" over it?

You can gather indefinitely if they're shooting from horseback. Early game there's the 2 Boblins west of Kakariko, later on there's areas like the plains near the Snowfield Stable, best spot I've found so far is in the Darybon plains oon Faron Grasslands where there's 6 or so. I also heard that if they shoot you while you're taking a photo you take no damage from the incoming arrows but haven't tested that yet.

The OoT school of gamedesign has aged REALLY poorly.
The 2D zeldas, even Zelda 2, are still playable and fun.
The N64 generation zeldas (that includes TP) are just odius.

>Where am I at?
I just cleared Nabooris, 3rd divine beast, so I'm just doing some odd jobs and exploring random areas to see what I find.
>Am I enjoying myself?
Greatly. I really love how the game always rewards curiosity and experimenting.
> /fa/ set?
Sheikah stealth gear
>Next Zelda
Probably like a 3D LttP/ALbW with the same kind of free dungeon order and open ended exploration as BotW.
>DLC?
I really want more enemies. I believe BotW is the game where classic enemies like Hinoxes and Lynels make their 3D debut, but a lot of the standard 3D enemies are missing. No Darknuts, No Redeads, No proper Stalfos, no Peahats, and etc. It would be nice to see them all come back, but I doubt it.

Why is Link oiled up?

No idea. I was looking forward to it after reading about it on Sup Forums, and yet I got nothing.
I really don't get it.

yeah ok arin... We all know you love oot... Stop pretending

>Climb speed upgrades do not modify jump distance so you only benefit if you're slowly trudging along

Why am I being penalized for going fast

Read the journal and check the surrounding area. What surrounding objects would be considered cold?

>where are you at?
post game, 150 hours clocked in, still haven't discovered every nook and cranny, but taking it easy now because I want the game to keep a bit of mystery
>are you enjoying yourself?
More than with any videogame in the last 20 years.
>what is the most /fa/ set?
Ancient armor pants and shirt with golden laurel. /fa/ as fuck
>what do you want the next Zelda to be like? Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT? Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?
Give me a botw with more content and more to explore. More enemies, more secrets, more items, more npc villages. I would like more dungeons that tie seamlessly into the overworld like hyrule castle and the labyrinths and maybe a few more regular treasure secrets than koroks.
OoT can stay dead for all I care.
>what are your hopes for the story and hard mode DLC?
Just give me more to explore.

...

don't have any friends

Upgrade that climbing set

>le everyone who dislikes OoT is egoraptor meme
OoT aged like shit, the progression is linear and the game is just not very fun outside of 1998 when it was kinda novel.

Nah, Ocarina of Time is completely playable, see the OoT3D sales.

How? Ive yet to see any kind of shop provide upgrading, only buying new gear

When I played BotW I thought it had pushed open world games forward, but I dug deeper into open world games and started playing the Gothic games and GOD DAMN is the first one good.

Apparently open world games used to be good, but then AAA developers shit it up into a fucking mess. BotW just brought it back to what made it great. I'm excited to see how other developers respond to BotW's success. Objective markers have got to go, for one.

Did it say quest complete for the GSC? If not try and get the password and see if the status changes

Other than that you've done it all

Shrine Quests don't count as far as I recall

Great Fairies, senpai,

>the progression is linear
Why is that bad? Linearity isn't a judge of quality.

It's a fucking wet beach it's supposed to look like that.

Playable like atari games.
Sure if you have enough nostalgia to endure it.
Still all OoT games are identical and I dont need more of them.
Too clunky, too outdated.
I grew up with 2D zelda, so naturally I prefer them and OoT already seemed off to me when it was new.
I can freely admit botw is even better than 2D zelda, why N64 babbies are going so strong in their nostalgia delusions is beyond me.
You got the identical game for 20 years, time to move over.
If you like stale, boring OoT design just replay TP and OoT alternatively, its not like a new OoT game would be any different.

Hold a snowball above your head at a certain time of day.

I know how you feel.

>tfw nobody to play Snipperclips with
It's not fair

Its bad if you try to convey a sense of adventure and you're railroaded into the exactly identical solutions every time you play.
Prime reason why I never replayed a OoT syle zelda.
There is no variation. Puzzles always have only one solution, dungeons are so linear you always need to tackle them the same way.
Even zelda 1 mixed it up with keys being not dungeon specific and doing no or almost no hard gatekeeping.
With lttp and especially OoT the games started to demand you play them in the exact order the developers intended or you're running against a wall.
It's just not fun to me.
TP's dungeons literally all have the same structure.
You're playing the same shit over and over.
Maybe that's fun to you, so you got 20 years or linear zeldas to chose from and replay.

I've trekked across the whole map and did all the shrines I saw. It was only 72. And I only have 80 something seeds. Send help.

Do we have a Korok location map yet? Also, I'm waiting in my ntag215s in the mail. Fuck scalpers. Going to make myself the OoT and Fierce Deity sets.

Anyone has a good place to gather Royal Shields? Lots of Skull places and Hinox are spawning tons of Royal weapons and bows but no reliable place to get those.

The skull camp on Cape Cales near Lurelin Village is a nice place for broadswords by the way, used to drop by to gather Knight Broadswords but now it spawns 2 royals alongside them. The bit of plains plus the treehouse area just north of Rito Village is nice for bows as well.

More switches when? I just want to play this shit.

It's going to feel worse when there is no one to play Pocket Rumble with, but at least there is Netplay.

Is their paya porn yet, I couldn't find any?

>Playable like atari games.
What the fuck am I doing?

>I'm nostalgic for 2D Zelda
Thanks for sharing

shhhhhh

>Thanks for sharing
Point being I can overcome my nostalgia for actually good games so you can overcome your nostalgia for clunky N64 blurred garbage games too. You're just too autistic.

The game can't have a good story until link talks.

Eat shit anyone that disagrees.

this nigga gets it

I'm glad thank you

Wow I have never heard an opinion this bad Jesus

b8 but seriously this game din't.need a dub

I prefer 2D Zelda games over the 3D most of the time, but OoT is definitely better than AlttP.

A Link to the Past's world is just so fucking bland. There's a single town with almost nothing in it. Is Zelda the princess of a half empty town? Why do they even need a princess? The Game Boy Zelda games were much, much better.

>where are you at?
running around doing random stuff prolonging the inevetable
>are you enjoying yourself?
I was for the first 50 hours until I realized that there's nothing left other than shrines and koroks
>what is the most /fa/ set?
I like Dark Link with Ganon's horse
>what do you want the next Zelda to be like?
I loved the open world but I do miss traditional dungeons, and missed a lot of the Zelda Mainstay items (hookshot, candles, power glove etc.) Open world with traditional dungeons would be GOAT.
Should it borrow more from BotW or OOT?
Both
Which parts should carry forward and which parts should not?
Everything should stay except for weapon durabilty, or at least add repairs, the fact that every weapon breaks means that it's hard to ever get excited about finding them.
>what are your hopes for the story and hard mode DLC?
ADD STORAGE, new weapons, new game plus with harder enemies, honestly they should just take a page out of Dark Souls. Random Lynels and Igi Clan everywhere, just a total fuck fest of enemies. The combat could get hilariously absurd.
