I absolutely loved this game. It's definitely my favourite Souls game, and my favourite game in general, and would love to erase my mind to play it again all over.
But I do not want a sequel, definitely not. I feel that if they made Bloodborne 2, it would ruin the cosmic story of insanity, Great Ones and everything being just a small part of a bigger picture Bloodborne has. I also feel that a sequel would ruin the game's integrity of being its own thing.
What are your thoughts? Would you like a Bloodborne 2?
John Moore
The game was so perfect I just want more of it even knowing it may diminish the original title
Josiah Jenkins
I want another soulslike from from, but not another Bloodborne. Maybe a game with similar combat, but not a straight out sequel
Gabriel Hall
If there is a Bloodborne 2, I want a completely revamped combat. more enemies on the screen.
The transforming weapon gimmick is pointless since it isn't faster than weapon swapping or most weapon only have 1 useful form and the other is pointless, like the axe, saw, moonlight sword.
increase the bullets to 40 or 50 to make gun builds viable.
Nathan Bell
That is exactly what I want as well, a new original soulslike title from Miyazaki I know the feeling
Caleb Foster
Gun builds are viable though, a bit harder to make but possible. And I don't exactly agree with the trick weapons being useless, some of them do only have one good form, but most of them have uses for both of the forms
Jeremiah Russell
A story sequel would be a disaster. A spiritual successor, or a continuation of the gameplay whilst being a totally new story would be fantastic.
Personally Wild West or Pirates would be my prefered settings, as both take place around the same time as Victorian England, so the technology level can be the same, just a different culture.
Jaxson Flores
Nobody rehashes and reused assets more than the shit company that is Fromsoft. Rest assured they'll rehash Blood borne with reused assets and it will flop like the rest of their horribly mediocre and overrated (by their autistic fanbase) games.
Chase Gonzalez
From Software confirmed that they are working on a "new IP dark fantasy action RPG similar to souls, but approached from a new revolutionary angle". It isn't anything related to Demon's Souls, Dark Souls or Bloodborne, it is a new IP.
Miyazaki said he doesn't like it when people think that Dark Souls is his best work, because that implies he can't make any games that surpass it. He is pouring his soul in to his new IP dark fantasy and the Armored Core reboot and says both these games will surpass Dark Souls.
Jordan Rogers
> increase the bullets to 40 or 50 to make gun builds viable.
You do realise you can sacrifice 30% of your health to make 5 new bullets whenever you want, right? With 20 regular bullets and 20 blood vials you can shoot your gun ~120 times, more if you pick up bullets and vials along the way.
Jackson James
I bet Miyazaki also doesn't really want to keep working on a one series, but rather would make one game, and then move on to the next one. I'm looking forward to more info on the game you mentioned
Nathan Murphy
still not enough bullets.
Matthew Rodriguez
This is why you'll never be a game dev, your ideas are fucking terrible.
Logan Torres
Shitty fucking ideas
This
Jack Carter
that's what i said to your mum last night when i was fucking her
Levi Nguyen
You sure got him user
Easton Hernandez
that pic and the stupidity of the post makes it too clear that it's bait maybe next time Don't give up!
Luis Powell
This makes me very happy. I wonder what a good setting would be for it. A western? Or sci-fi? Or if it sticks with traditional fantasy, maybe exploring multiple planes or something? What would be good?
Jace Butler
>What are your thoughts?
Yes I would like a sequel because the game was fun and had a good atmosphere; and I'm not a faggot who thinks FROM software knows how to create anything resembling deep or coherent lore.
Gavin Murphy
reminder that from is working on a new ip and a new armored core title atm
Ayden Reyes
>Would you like a Bloodborne 2? Definitely not. The story is perfect and Fromsoftware suck at making sequels (I love DaS2 for the gameplay improvements but the story is shite).
>What are your thoughts? I'd pay money for a chalice dungeon expansion pack. More weapons, more monsters, more bosses, more room variety, a less retarded way to get materials, more levels of difficulty etc. Chalice dungeons are barely-canon bullshit so they could add whatever they wanted and it wouldn't tread on the story. Or just a whole new game built on the chalice dungeon concept.
>if the story isn't spoonfed to me, it doesn't exist
Liam Reed
I get what you mean, but to be honest Bloodborne's lore isn't supposed to be coherent
Juan Bell
I doubt it will be sci-fi, because Armored Core reboot will fill that mech-like futuristic setting. I hope they go with dark fantasy / grimdark settings similar to Bloorborne and Souls, but something different.
Jackson Parker
From Software's new RPG series goes back to their roots and is set in a first person perspective like King's Field and contains a time travel mechanic like in the campaign for Titanfall 2 but available at literally all times, even during cutscenes. They plan on it releasing in late 2018 or early 2019. Yui Tanimura who directed Dark Souls 2 and saved it from being an even worse fuck up and who was assistant director on Dark Souls 3 is working on Armored Core 6 which will be out late 2017 or early 2018 and revealed at E3. They're trying to get AC to catch on in the West by slapping 'From the Makers of Dark Souls!' on all the marketing. It's also their first game to be released after their contract with Namco ends (ends with The Ringed City's release) and the first to be codeveloped by Kadokawa Games since they bought From back in 2014. It's got VR support too.
Adrian Cook
sounds interesting, but I doubt it'll work
Ian Watson
Based From Software saving gaming once again, I am going to instant pre-order both of these games and also instant buy the complete edition of these games with all the DLC in it.
God bless From Software, the only company who still makes god tier games.
If those rumours about From having 2 more games in the pipeline with Sony Japan Studio are true, how salty will Sup Forums be come reveal?
Luke Walker
Sequels fucked up Dark Souls hard, I wouldn't want a Bloodborne 2.
I'd like to see something new but similar, like how bloodborne had the same core mechanics as dark souls but was still radically different in many ways.
The idea of a cyberpunk soulslike has been flung around before and I think it's a good one.
Nolan Carter
Honestly though BB was mediocre with very little replayability. It's DLC made it shine though. I'd much prefer if they did something else like a futuristic rpg.
Ethan Gutierrez
Incredibly so. It was around the time Bloodborne released that gold face and NEVER EVER took off as memes because of how much shitposting was going on. Sadly the guy who leaked Bloodborne originally and a bunch of other Sony shit and has been proven correct countless times has said that From are indeed contracted for 2 more PS4 exclusives co-developed with Japan Studio, so that's another 2 games that are going to fucking tear this board apart for a couple months each. Hopefully the games are just as good as Bloodborne at least, to make up for the fact that actual discussion of them will be impossible.
Logan Ward
Funny you should make this Thread. I was putting off buying a ps4 till last year and hot this and two other games with it. What can i expect in Bloodborne? I just ripped the plastic off it today.
Lucas Hughes
How does one post get so much wrong?
Nolan Morales
Absolutely yes, I fucking love the combat in BB. It is so much more fluid and faster pace than than the Soul series. The Victorian Era setting and design is straight 10/10 in my book. Also this game scared me more than any cheap horror game in the past decade.
John Garcia
Hmm, that's actually sort of interesting I personally don't think that a soulslike game would work in a futuristic setting you can expect a one wild ride
Ryder Allen
Ass creed is interactive movie, not a game.
From Software is the only company who makes god tier games, stay mad cuckboy ;)
Jonathan Evans
>downgraded rehashed reused asset casual ass creed gameplay >"god tier"
kek
when i get home im gonna use the record function to make some fun little webms showing just how casual this trash is.
Dylan Diaz
...
Levi Murphy
That was really well done, but he fucked it up. Should've been SIE instead of SCE.
Isaac Reed
I'm on the third boss fight in this game and I'm just not feeling it at all, I beat all 3 DaS games and enjoyed them but this one feels repetitive to me
Tyler Morgan
Most of the bossfights in this game are pretty boring, and that's unfortunate because the bossfights are the only thing of value. I've had it sitting for a couple weeks without much desire to pick it back up.
Noah Mitchell
Anor Londo. Havel. Ornstein. Drangleic castle. Most of the weapons from 1-3.
Parker White
I think likely setting will be one of the places mentioned in the chalice dungeon items, Isz, Loran, etc
Lincoln Stewart
I propably haven't seen so many things i disagree with in a single post in a long time.
All of those things you mentioned are horrible "improvements".
Cooper Wood
Playing it for the first time these last few days, arrived on Mensis yesterday.
So far, it's been one hell of a ride, it'll probably end up being my favorite souls game.
Landon Evans
I bought Bloodborne put the disc in and installed updates and never even played it
Do I really currently possess an amazing game that I'm just being lazy and never jumping into?
Cameron Rogers
Is that why he's making another armored core game
Ethan Anderson
It's a phenomenal game for sure, but I gotta go with I think they're right by not doing a sequel
Isaac Ramirez
I keep dropping this game for weeks at a time because I'm so fucking bored. It'd help if it required more than one button to kill smaller enemies, it feels like I'm playing an uglier blurry shadow of mordor.
Michael Diaz
have you ever played a game by From?
Ian Perez
You're the kind of retard that needs a to stay hired in physical jobs, nothing creative
Blake Martinez
Form Software should make a SciFi or even a Western Souls game.
Angel Baker
a direct sequel would be dumb, i wouldn't be against seeing something in the same vein or universe, perhaps.
whatever from decides to do, I just hope they don't pull a DS3 and just shit out a sequel with half of the "lore" in the game being references to bloodborne
Leo Kelly
Yes, AC2 Another Age is my favorite mech game and I have completed a huge chunk of Dark Souls 1, just haven't finished it yet
I bought Bloodborne just based on knowing I can trust these guys, I just keep forgetting I even own the damn game
Jeremiah Butler
I'd go through it, get to Brygenworth and see how you feel about it then. Could you say you enjoyed DS1?
Joseph Brooks
Don't see how a sequel would play out.
I would rather an entirely new setting for FS's next game as BB was so damn good already and leaves little to be wanted.
Oliver Rogers
Why won't this shitty game just go on Ps plus already? I need online not to be fucking dead
Fucking Jewish sony
Joseph Cook
This will never go on PS Plus. It's way too high-calibre for that. Though the game is on sale now so expect more players this coming week.
Noah Ward
Yeah I'm a fan of hard games, and the limited hand holding makes me feel good too
Would you say Bloodborne is harder than the DS games or about the same?
Bentley Howard
Bloodborne has a good setting wasted on gimmicky storytelling.
The Old Hunters made up for it though, it actually had a good movement.
Liam Jenkins
I'd rather have a game in a different settings with different mechanics. Trick weapons are fucking GOAT though.
Adrian Mitchell
I know it would probably be incredibly difficult to pull off but what always bothered me about bloodborne is that blood splatters everywhere after a hit but the enemy has no visible wound
I would love it if blunt weapons final hit could turn a yharmanite's upper body to mush and bigger enemies had very obvious from where you were hacking them
William Gutierrez
I want a sequel. Don't care about muh story ruined.
I need to go to the moon and kill more Kin and Great Ones. I wanna see monster design that makes Ebrietas look like MLP. I want to be able to slowly transform my character into a Great One and usurp the Old Ones.
Dominic Brooks
*obvious wounds
Hudson Brooks
>Miyazaki said he doesn't like it when people think that Dark Souls is his best work
Well, it really isn't. The second half of the game is crap.
Julian Cook
Two JAPAN STUDIO titles at E3 VRPG and Sleepwalker
You're welcome
Nathan Flores
No sequel.
FROM fucks up sequels because they overuse previous assets and mechanics as well as NPCs to cater fanservice. Thats why DeS, DaS and BB were the best installments.
Not to mention that BB was such a plot treat because you started a game thinking you will be playing a Van Hellsing game, and all of the sudden you end up in Eldritch Horror.
In sequel there won't have such a big revelation anymore.
Carson Wood
>fromdrones make a new thread because they got BTFO so hard in the witcher thread
You didn't even win GOTY, you should stop trying now. Its getting sad
Noah Hernandez
>I want to be able to slowly transform my character into a Great One and usurp the Old Ones. But that's already one of the endings, and there is ayymode as well.
Easton Miller
>GOTY Why does everyone act like it means everything when shit games like TLoU, Bioshock Infinite and Overwatch have been proclaimed goty as well? I mean, I'm sure blind fanboys would act like it's a big deal if BB got it instead too, but I fail to see why does it matter.
Jaxon Parker
it's a harder learning curve due to no shields, but personally once i got the hang of it it became one of my favorite games ever. hate to sound like a shill but that's the best way i could put it. the DLC is From's best DLC imo
Levi Jackson
...
David Evans
You have no idea what this game was all about and what made it so unique and successfull.
Just kys and take you shitty attitude with you.
Grayson Brooks
Burgenwerth is pretty much the only bad location in the game though, why'd you say that. Hmph, well the bosses are pretty agressive and, hmph, sometimes can hmph often deny you of even a possibility to hmph heal hmph hmph hmph hmph. If I were to criticize, I'd probably say that the game gives you too many vials, 20 is a fuckton.
Nicholas Scott
brygenworth is the halfway point of the game
Bentley Price
It's irritating that I need to buy a filthy euro version that costs more if I want the DLC on disc.
