Fucking collectors

I paid $120 for a sealed black label copy of Melee

Most expensive game I've bought was Earthbound for $180.

whats the difference between a "not for resale" copy and a regular copy?

Store kiosk units probably.

The standard RRP. I haven't actually done that for years though.

there isn't one unless it says (DEMO) in which case it's just a demo. these are just the game with a different label that stores were given for playable stands

£30? I picked up Yakuza 2 in 2015 for £19 and i picked up Project Zero II (normally £50+ in UK) for £25 last year. They are probably my two rarest games desu

I might buy games i really want on release for £40 but no more, and it would have to be some mega ass good shit to buy any second hand game for more than £30, if you know how to wait, you can fund it for less.

So more kids have gotten there grubby hands on it then a regular used version. It better be cheaper then normal

$70 on a "deluxe" edition.

I dont understand the concept of collecting videogames. You're just collecting physical data storage.

I paid $230 for this bad boy

>Not for resale
THOSE FUCKERS DON'T EVEN LISTEN

I dunno all the N64 NFR prices, but you can get both the Zelda ones (which are easily the best N64 NFR carts) for $150-$200 a pop.

That sticker's all fucked up, I wouldn't have paid more than $30.

As long as its "rare", somebody out there will be dumb enough to pay for it. not a joke at Rareware

>So more kids have gotten there grubby hands on it then a regular used version
Aren't the games and consoles themselves usually locked behind glass in those kiosks?

Why did he list it for $2 if he wanted $750 for it?

Depends on the game, but I don;t think I've really ever spent more than 60 bucks on a game. I rarely even buy games new these days, wait for a steam sale or get a game 5+ years after it came out.

>So more kids have gotten there grubby hands on it then a regular used version

No, they're property of Nintendo. If you have them they're stolen and can be taken from you and returned to Nintendo. Nintendo destroys them.

That's a literally shit stained cartridge with the label torn off. You paid about $225 more than it was worth.

He was gloating after the sale

Faggot collectors call it "strategery", it's so they show up early in craigslist searches when searched by lowest-highest prices, and a lot of people exclude $1 because it's always some haggle bullshit.
They're desperate to sell it but not at anything less than 200% profit

Stop replying to bait new fags

But I just ignore all unrealistic prices and automatically assume they're a scam. I thought that's what everybody did.

I can reply all I want, it's my right as a United States citizen.

tree fiddy

>40 € for physical
>10 for digital

Excuse me buddy, but the United States is illegal since Mewtwo took over 4channel.

>tfw snagged a time share for $1
heh youll never get sick deals like that kid

$5 total. In today's money. I don't care about your fucking monkey island or whatever image of "Never pay more than $20 for a computer game AT TODAY'S INFLATED PRICE", faggot. Inflation doesn't matter, no game is worth more than $5. The only ones I'd ever consider paying more than $5 is a very short list

>Solitaire
>Tetris
>Breakout
that's it. those are the only good games that you can replay for the rest of your life and not get bored.

>he's never played RE4

i havent seen this photo in years, thanks user

If you're a literal retard maybe.

How can you still enjoy tetris or solitaire?

>no game is worth more than $5
So a mcdonald's breakfast is worth more than a game that could potentially provide you with hundreds of hours of entertainment?

Paid $250 for Panzer Dragoon Saga. Won't pay anything more for a game.

yes, because I wouldn't want to spend my last $5 on a game if i'm going to starve
also, get on the cheddar onion burger, it's $1

Are a you a nigger from in africa?

I'm willing to pay $100CAD for any undumped PS1 demos, so I can post them up for the internet. It's been years since $100 got me anything...

Here's a lot with a single undumped disc:
ebay.com/itm/122386159930
All the discs there are worth like like $10 each, except Phantom Menace ($50). The undumped disc is basically $400.

>not for resale
why's this faggot bragging about his collection if he's not gonna sell it?

>Not for resale
>Re sells it anyways
LOCK HIM UP

He was born in the 60's so he still thinks $5 is a lot of money. You can tell he's old because he actually thinks solitaire, tetris, and breakout are playable for more than a few minutes.

$60

why is he trying to sell those games when they're not for resale?

I've paid $250 before, but that's pretty much my limit. I might pay $300 for two ultra-rare DC games to finish out my collection, but anything more than that is just not worth it.

At least 10 to 20 for one but its by value of how much fun it is and 30 or more for more then one game or expansion
