>They comparing a ported game to console game.

But PC was the lead platform.

rpgsite.net/interview/4971-nier-automata-interview-square-talks-rpg-systems-and-the-platinum-partnership

I wish the PC version didn't require such a powerful build to run it
>PS4 runs 60fps on $300 hardware
>PC needs $600 for 60fps on Low, probably $800 or higher for High

Fug, 2B makes my heart go doki doki

>But PC was the lead platform.
youtube.com/watch?v=PYWZr29BrXo
>lead platform

Candyland is real bad
They have like 2 or 3 good videos in their entire library

60 fps. LOL

Maybe about half the time. It drops to about 30 quite frequently.

I'm playing it on PS4 Slim and it runs at 60 fps literally everywhere

>But PC was the lead platform.

wow nice bait take (you)

Not true. It goes around 40-50 most of the time.

Not bait, they had PC in mind when making the game, it was obviously intended to be on PS4, but desinged for PC nontheless

>he compares PS4Pro's 1080p with PP anti aliasing to PC 2160p with 4x ***MSAA***
>he complains PC doesn't run at 60
holy shit

>But the ps4 version runs on unicorn power!

I've played the demo and watched the digital foundry performance analysis. Im playing the game on PC right now in max settings at 2560x1440 resolution and lowest it goes is 57 fps.

It locks to 30fps in the cutscenes, retard.

>they had PC in mind when making the game, it was obviously intended to be on PS4, but desinged for PC nontheless
wat? retard

>but we actually start creating our games now on high-spec PCs and then optimize for the different consoles we release on. Since we already thought about releasing on Steam from the get-go, we'd already built the game in such a way that it would play on PC.
Define this

>people srsly believe this

lmao this game is 100 % ported.

>Not true. It goes around 40-50 most of the time.
On your toaster maybe.
>I've played the demo and watched the digital foundry performance analysis.
And I played the real game on PS4. That's the difference. It runs at 60 fps.

The PS4 version does not run at a consistent 60fps
Stop this meme

it was actually intended to be a Vita game

youtube.com/watch?v=dKdP9mmJA-A
>reviewer also complains about framerate drops, especially at the theme park

>pre-release review
If you don't own a PS4, simply stop shittalkingm, faggots.
My game runs at a fluid 60 fps everywhere where it matters. If it drops down to 55 every few minutes, it's not noticeable.

i play max settings on pc and never ever had a framedrop, u guys maybe should stop buying toasters

That's a solid 60 for the PS4 Pro?

Nice meme.

this game ran like shit on PS4
it felt like 30 FPS on average and FPS kept dropping to 10 when running around
why can't they optimize games on consoles

Except people forget that this is platinums second PC release practically and the game was going to come to PC regardless of the situation, Sony just paid to be first.

Sony paid for first rights.

>tfw I really want to buy Nier
>tfw the only systems I have are PC and Switch
>I've only ever heard bad things about the PC version of Nier
>No Nier on the Switch

:(

sony had nothing to do with it you retard
square decided to release it first on PS4 to get more sales
game has already been cracked on PC and sold like shit on steam

The only bad thing is if you're not using a monitor with DVI or Direct Input, it won't be true 1080p in fullscreen mode. If you are using DVI or Direct Input then you're perfectly fine.

The shitty sales on PC no doubt has made them regret what little effort they did put in it.

Bet they don't bother patching. Oh well at least the community continues to fix shit PC developers can't be bothered with.

So did this actually get poor PC sales or it's just a meme?

Actually they said they did better than expected.
Yoko Taro getting a 5/10 would have been more than expected. Y'all mother fuckers just hyped this game up, every fan of NieR and Drakengard were gonna buy it anyways. I'm fucking loving this game personally, but that's because I love Taro's batshit crazy mind.

>PC was lead platform
>Horrendously unstable
>Doesn't have basic PC features
>Plays like shit on PC control scheme

Is it incompetence or lies

it was obviously a lie. That they put out ther to make le mustard race fags cream themselves and preorder 10 copies

Still better than Metal Gear Rising port by a long shot.

He said it did better than expected on launch, on the PS4.

That's a nice fantasy you got there. I run it on a GTX 980, i7-4770k and it drops frequently on me. And after watching some guy streaming the game who got a PC donated to him with 2 fucking titan X in it and he also had framerate drops in the game I'm calling bullshit on you.

The Steam version has sold less than first week sales on the PS4 in Japan alone.

it actually looks better on the ps4 pro. look at the aliasing on this robot.

I had 0 issues with mgr with a 660ti
nier doesnt keep 60 with a 1070, clock is stable 1900mhz and usage is high, but drops frames too often

but in this picture the aliasing is worse on the ps4 pro. interesting.

It's a top seller, go shitpost somewhere else

Meme, happens with every major multiplat. People cling on the Steamspy numbers (for a couple of days it only registered 30k owners and currently 150k), but they conveniently ignore that the owner said numbers won't be accurate for weeks and that even then many Steam users have privatized accounts that make their purchases "invisible" to the site

That extra fuzz on the PS4 is to cover up the fact of all the missing details. Stop being delusional and open your fucking eyes.

I'm so tired of seeing this android whore and her virgin weeaboo orbiters.

Not an answer.

any comfy areas in this game?

all looks pretty drab to me

>Sup Forums
>the place where noone actually plays games

This is why games like Bloodborne will never release on PC.

>PLEASE let us have this amazing game on PC!
>Here you go
>wtf, I can't play it on my piece of shit pc! Wtf I can't get 144fps on 4k!? Fuck you!

Is Steam Spy too hard for you to use yourself you lazy fuck?

MGR ran better with lower hardware, but honestly I don't get why people are honestly have issues with the next gen cards.
I'm using an R9 390 with a mediocre fx6200 and 10gb of ram. The issue for fullscreen only happens on HDMI it seems. I'm using DVI-D and it functions how it should. No dips, constant 60fps full settings.

you guys are going to make me actually play this game if you keep posting this robot's ass

The forest area is really nice to go and fish.

You can't really look at Steam spy as it measures only 15% of steam accounts that are public and only updates every 3-7 days. It's been said time and time again it's unreliable by even it's own creators.
You're better off waiting for actual sales figures from Square or Platinum.

best 2b outfit, prove me wrong.

>It means that Steam Spy is completely unreliable for recently released games

>Steam Spy
Yeah I thought so.

>as it measures only 15% of steam accounts that are public

no
it measures all steam public accounts which are the majority, then there's an estimate on hidden profiles: there's a +- which is calculated applying the same percentage of owners over total accounts but for the number of hidden profiles

>That's a nice fantasy you got there
that your fantasy, my reddit friend

but il ike how u nintentodro.nes like to falseflag

Lost quality Nier threads when PC fags came in, look at the carnage, with all the PC master race shit, made for PS4 first, then PC. Shoulda stayed on PS4 only

I just finished watching this video but I have to ask, does the game really look that blurry? I was watching the 4k video and I have a 4k display, but jewtube doesn't actually have true 4k videos.

How does the game look for any who've played on PC? Anyone playing at 4k60fps? I have an i5+1080 rig, would it be able to maintain 4k60fps at max sans ridiculous AA settings? And why do videos of this game look so goddamned blurry regardless of platform or resolution? Is it some shit tier temporal AA going on or something?

We lost quality Nier threads the second 2Bs butt got posted for the first time

Exclusivity just fucks the market further. PC purposefully hyped this game up not understanding it's a Yoko Taro game, because of the console war shitposting.

Why're people still bitching like this. Nigga the threads were dead the second the trailer came out for Automata. Even moreso when the demo came out. You're crying about something that was over 6 months ago.

Get over it. Dig through the ass posts and people still discuss stuff.

Last thread user said you can remove her skirt whenever but he didn't say how.

So how to remove skirt?

Self-destruct.

The good threads are on /vg/
Sup Forums is just shitposting and PC raging as always

PS4 pro here. Runs at 60 fps most of the time with very small stutters from time to time, but nothing even remotely game breaking.

PC runs smoother so far desu. But I have to pump up the resolution 2560x1440p to make it show at 1080p.

Any idea? I'm running it at full screen and not a single fuckin stutter it runs great.

Thread quality died as soon as there was a flaw in the port and consolefags turned every god damn thread into bitching about the port falseflagging.

They are keeping both AA and Ambient Occlusion on which is just two forms of AA in this game mashed together the former eating a huge amount of performance, because it's MSAA.
I would say you would maintain 1080p 60fps constant, but 4k you might see dips, it depends on your monitor ultimately in this situation. If you're not playing above 1080p and using a monitor that supports HDMI it will console set to 900p. This problem does not occur on DVI or Direct Input.

>does the game really look that blurry?
of course not, there are multiple layers of compression for that image i posted to be created

Console wins yet again.

Use DVI-I, DVI-D or Direct input to avoid the fullscreen bug.
DVI-D preferably as it's the best currently.

*spams goldface*
Fucking PCfags, ruining everything
*brags about specs with other consoles*
They're just jealous of our beautiful games that only Sony's mercy could allow to exist
*makes ARK top PSN seller*

I thought running the game in borderless window mode makes it true 1080p?

PC players, modders are already fixing performance and port issues, so you should be good to go now.

I do.
Fishing in Nier:A while posting on Sup Forums.

> PC was the lead platform.
>looks like a PS3 game
>has higher requirements than Witcher 3
Thank god they made a custom engine right?

Apparently, modders figured out how to improve the performance
has-figured-out-a-way-to-almost-double-the-performance-of-nier-automata/
Something to do with global illumination

>he got a switch instead of a PS4
how does a person manage to fuck up this badly

Shit

dsogaming.com/news/modder-has-figured-out-a-way-to-almost-double-the-performance-of-nier-automata/

No. it's a bug having to do with input you are using. Stop using HDMI, if you're pc gaming HDMI is terrible also, so I don't get why people are using it when direct input and DVI exist. I mean if you want audio, get a proper set up for that, if you want ethernet get a proper cat 5/6 cable, if you want a proper monitor get direct input or dvi preferably dvi. But holy shit stop using HDMI it's the meme of the turn of the century at this point.

>PS4 pro here. Runs at 60 fps most of the time with very small stutters from time to time, but nothing even remotely game breaking.
That's exactly what I'm experiencing on the PS4 too, just with a slightly lower resolution (900p).
While shitposters pretend it's another Bloodborne.

PS4 is using some hacked together temporal solution for AA. The base version is using temporal reprojection at 720P reconstructed to a 900P buffer. PS4 Pro is 1080P but some areas have very bad AA and edge aliasing that some areas with heavy light sourcing may be 900P reconstructed to 1080P to save FPS.

It wouldn't be the first Pro game to go under 1080p since Battlefield 1 and Nioh go under the high cap resolution but it's very likely that Platinum's custom engine is using temporal tech that is way too heavy on the render buffer for what it should be outputting. Hence bad PC performance on launch and such low performance on PS4 and Pro.

>GI
Does this game have a day/night cycle?

>he will never play breath of the wild
so sad

CEMU 1.7.3 has it working at better fps now.

>he doesn't know

I'm playing on a 4k display via DP but I doubt I'll need MSAA at all. If there's too much aliasing, a little Reshade would do well to reduce that. But getting 4k60fps with a few dips is alright. What do you mean by AO being a form of AA though? Do they use it as a solution to hide aliasing or something?

Do you or any other anons have screenshots to share showing the game in its full glory? Fucking everywhere's showing the game to be a blurry mess and it's just worrying.

>$400 for one game or $400 for 20 games
really networks those neurons

AO has a post AA effect built into it. On top of the MSAA they offer as a separate setting. Honestly if you're playing at 4k you'll only use AO and if you want more AA you'll force it through your GPU settings most likely.

>While shitposters pretend it's another Bloodborne.
They're not pretending, they're playing on PC.

What the fucking shit? It doesn't even look any different with a lower GI setting.

I see. I think the post AA would be more than enough. These days, I hardly need MSAA in anything, FXAA and SMAA are more than enough. Thanks user.

>AO has a post AA effect built into it
How does this work?

Quality vs. quantity

>It doesn't even look any different with a lower GI setting.
Not sure if I'm being baited here. Are you legally blind or something?

Honestly no idea how it works besides that they made the AO settings do more than just AO. Just like the "effects" button being vague.

>skyrim with cuter girls is worth missing out on 20 fantastic games
okay then

Just going off the screenshots posted via the link. Can't see any difference at all apart from a higher framerate. Care to help me out here user?

More or less it's all smaller detail work and draw distance.
