>If humans were dead, who created the YorHa unit? The Commander knows the humans no longer exists why do they keep fighting?

>How did Adam and Eve kill the aliens if they were born when you first visit the desert area in game?

>How were Adam and Eve born exactly?

>How did the aliens create those obsolete machines while the humanity was able to create advanced androids?

enlighten me fampais

bump

Did you play the first Nier at all?
A lot of the connections are made with the events of the prequel

Adam and Eve didn't kill the aliens themselves. They were just claiming that the machines in general were responsible for killing them

>If the humans were dead before the aliens came to earth, for what purpose did the aliens build the machines?
Androids were still fighting for humanity.
>If humans were dead, who created the YorHa unit? The Commander knows the humans no longer exists why do they keep fighting?
Androids. Because the androids would have no reason to exist after the extinction of humanity, ones that were in charge decided to keep the whole thing going just to keep the morale up.
>How did Adam and Eve kill the aliens if they were born when you first visit the desert area in game?
They didn't, they said it happened centuries ago.
>How were Adam and Eve born exactly?
Next step of evolution.
>How did the aliens create those obsolete machines while the humanity was able to create advanced androids?
Different technology. And while "obsolete", machines were still able to keep the war going for millennia just due to how adaptable and numerous they are.

Pay attention to dialogue and intel, it's all in the game.

Really makes me feel

So was it wrong to think of Nier, Kaine, and Emil themselves as androids? Or was being a replicant a totally different thing?

Replicants are entirely different, basically flesh golems that developed individuality.

Androids are just barbie dolls with AI

Replicants are clones, they're biological in nature.

>If the humans were dead before the aliens came to earth, for what purpose did the aliens build the machines?

They never knew about that untill the end of the game

>If humans were dead, who created the YorHa unit? The Commander knows the humans no longer exists why do they keep fighting?
Was created by the servers in earth or replicants from the past game wich are like ancient androids if you want, the commander knows but dont say a thing because if they dont have a purpose they could become mad or go in suicide watch

>How did Adam and Eve kill the aliens if they were born when you first visit the desert area in game? They didn't the aliens were murdered by the machines they are machines and every machine is in the network hence "we killed our creators" the machines not me Adam & Eve as individual

>How were Adam and Eve born exactly?
They are the evolved form of the network or collective mind of the robots obsessed with humans. The solidification of their wish to become more human like.

>How did the aliens create those obsolete machines while the humanity was able to create advanced androids? Wrong the first androids are even weaker than the ones in the camp and you are talking of an android with the abilities of a normal human against a horde of machines.

Was Emil still a replicant even though he was a living weapon?

No he was put into that project before Gestalt.

He's technically the last living human.

>>How were Adam and Eve born exactly?
>They are the evolved form of the network or collective mind of the robots obsessed with humans. The solidification of their wish to become more human like.

But how were they fabricated? With parts or other machines?

Yes the ones you see making a cocoon use their bodies or the inside of their bodies to make adam and from adam eve is created just like in the bible.

Is all the human genetic data stored on the moon in the hope they can be recreated?

Are the shades ever made mention to in Automata? I know the black scrawl was.

They're conflated with "humanity"

Really in the hope of just about anything that can be done with or anything coming across it that could use it, even if it just serves as a tombstone of humanity.

I don't think androids preserved it exactly with the idea that one day they could recreate them but really just as sort of a desperate last thing of, well what else can we possibly do.

i wonder that too. It reminded me of Xenoblade X

That is their hope, at the time of Nier Automata they can't do shit with so little. That is why they cant win against the machines. If they win humans need to go back to the earth ...but there are no humans or way to use the gnoma at the time. So yorha decided to do sabotage their own forces in order to keep the war as long a possible.

Actually I'm not sure Androids created Yorha.
Why would the other Androids create a virus and use machine cores?
I think that the machines themselves created Yohra because they needed an enemy (from Jackass' document)

>replicants from the past game wich are like ancient androids
replicants are just the human bodies without a soul
They went extinct after the events of NieR

Androids are different than the replicants

I still don't quite understand where these came from, the machine or android side?

I dont fully understand this "Bunker backdoor" thing can someone explain.

Is it because like said? The YorHa commander really didnt want it to end?

The document never implies that the machines create YoRHa though
It just says the machines realize they can't "win" the war since it violates their reason for existing and eventually the human memories end up forming the core of the machine network

Considering there's a classified document that talks about YorHa androids being fitted with machine cores because it is a "more humane" option than using android AIs that doesn't make sense.

They're machines and basically started going haywire after collecting all this human data and exploring it.

Read the documents from Boxes again. YoRHa was created to gather combat data so it can be used to create a more advanced model of androids.
>Why would the other Androids create a virus and use machine cores?
They didn't create the virus, they created a backdoor in Bunker security so machines could get the access to the server. They use machine cores for YoRHa because they found it unethical to give proper AI to someone who is to be discarded at the end of the program.

Machine
It's the represention of the network

Yes, at the end it gets confirmed that YoRHa realizes that the war for "defending humanity" is what gives androids their purpose for existing so they extended the war with no intention to win

Androids who created YorHa put a backdoor into the bunker so the machines could destroy it since getting rid of it would get rid of the evidence that humans are extinct.

Alright here's a fuckin' tide of knowledge.

1. The machines were built to fight both Androids and Emil clones, because those are what resistance they were fighting.

2. High ranking androids conceived the YorHa program, to slowly gather combat data and upgrade combat android models to eventually clear the planet of all machine life. Humanity exists as Gestalt data on the moon server, they CAN eventually be brought back to life but it is pointless until the machines are gone.

3.Adam and Eve are just an extension of the machine "Network", which is the communal hivemind of all machine personalities in the network. It is the ghost in the machine, the invisible guiding hand. They can recall anything logged in the network from as far back as the first network version, which was when the network realized it needed to evolve to defeat the enemy. And that was probably right before they turned on the Aliens.

4.The "network" decided that beings closer to androids or "humans" were the next step in the evolutionary path, and so were birthed.

5. the Aliens were plantlike, with only one goal. And here's the only part of conjecture that anybody has any room to debate: They may be an extension of the Flower from the Drag-on Dragoon continuity, a tool of the Watchers who work for God to wipe out all humanity. Or they could just be dickbag aliens. the Watcher iconography inscribed onto Eve when he goes full kill mode is either just a throwback to the old series or an actual connection to Legion.

Don't bother user.

This whole game is an unfinished mess that serves as the "DLC" for the novels and stageplays.

Automata isn't perfect, but its not Drakengard 3

It's a complete experience, but alot of its best parts werent handled too well.

>unfinished

More like underfunded.
Just think of all those unnecessary fund being put on for the shitshow that is the FFXV: Kingslaive.

Fucking Square Enix.

>frogposter
>retard
color me surprised

Of this thread cleared up some stuff for me but i still cannot comprehend why would the androids who created YorHa created a backdoor so YorHa could be destroyed by the machines. Why created YorHa in first place?

>Why created YorHa in first place?
to perpetuate the idea that humanity was still alive

>Nier happens, humanity dies out
>when they realize this the androids go into deep depression since they failed their goals and programming
>ayys invade at some point
>leading androids realize that the androids need a reason to fight, and so create YoRHa, which is allegedly created/built by the Council of Humanity
>this reveals to the remaining androids that humanity actually is alive, giving them reason to exist

Because there is still evidence at YorHa that humans are extinct.
Once YorHa is wiped out there will be no evidence left that humanity has gone extinct.
There will be another organization to replace YorHa and continue the war but no one in it will ever know thay the humans went extinct.

>why would the androids who created YorHa created a backdoor so YorHa could be destroyed by the machines.
That was not intended.
YoRHa was supposed to be destroyed to cover up humanity's extinction since they are the last who actually know truth about that (at least Commander and higher staff).

>Why created YorHa in first place?
This was spelled out.
When last of the humans died it wasn't openly published but rumors started leaking and android morale dropped.
So android leadership made YoRHa partially as a organization for testing and evolution but specifically for covering up the truth.

Is automata lore deeper than Nier lore? Keep in mind Nier has a whole book devoted to its lore. What about Dark Souls 1 lore? BB lore?

Read '[Top Secret] Project YoRHa' document in Archives / INTEL tab.
There's a nice summary.

Have you read any of the things under the intel section at all?
YoRHa was created in order to lift the morale of androids and keep the war going while making them believe that there were still humans alive in the moon.

play the first game you filthy secondary.

>If humans were dead, who created the YorHa unit?
Other androids, probably the replicants.
