They've made a game inspired by Blame! called NaissanceE.

I want to fugg Sanakan

None

Souls games would be the closest thematically though.

Slow-Mo has been so overused by games that I don't get this level of speed rush anymore.

>dat arkworks
Good God, how did Nihei came from this perfection into generic anime which is Sidonia?

holy sheet that looks kinda cool

For the money? just be thankful that his newfound fame gave us the Blame Master editions and whatever he chooses to work on next.

Too bad you can't blast those Silicon Creatures with fucking GBE.

>Blame Master
>tfw no English release
Is there any English scanlation online?
Or I'll just read Biomega for the millionth time.

haven't checked for scans since i just bought the actual books. They are in English though so i'm not sure what you are talking about.

what's wrong with sidonia?

i liked it

>They are in English though
Wait, what the fuck? I though that they are only available exclusively in moonrunes.

Post pics pls

The feelings I experienced in this game made me immediately read Blame!

he said in an interview that he wanted to make something that would sell more
also sidonia was amazing until the last few volumes
the ending was fucking shit

It wasn't bad for today's standard. But the graphics was like caveman's drawing when compared to Biomega's Michelangelo tier of perfection.

it's your birthday!

available on amazon.

EYE has some similar vibes here and there. Developers, like Nihei, were drawing a lot of inspiration from the works of Beksinski.

Too bad it's a shitty walking simulator with untextured lowpoly environments.

The ending was good, only underage retards that never understood the series got mad about it. Sidonia is not a series about fighting ultimate evil and defeating aliens, it's a series about people trying to live their lives. They don't care what the Gauna are, they don't care about killing the Gauna, they just do it because they want to live.

In the end they just keep living. Shonenbabbies don't understand that but Nihei's works always have those kind of messages or endings, BLAME! ended in a similar fashion.

Also shipperfags should fuck off, it's not bad just because you're waifu didn't win.

>google sidonai
>blame in space

I am greatful that I opened this thread. Thank you op.

Yeah nah, the paneling and motion sense was MUCH better than early Nihei. He himself admitted that he sucked at drawing back in the day and couldn't even portray motion well enough.

kill yourself you retard

Stellaris expansion that releases in few days literally has dyson sphere and megastructures

let's be fair a Blame! game would have to be 95% walking in order to have the right feel. Actually i think the recipe would be something along the line of "I Am Alive". anyone remember that game?

>dem prices.
Whelp lads it seems that I wouldn't be able to get this manga soon enough.
Thanks though, maybe I'll buy them one by one.

keep it civil you guys. you obviously like the same stuff so don't let minor differences ruin a beautiful friendship.

Not really, sidonia is more silly though it gets darker at times.

It also parodies a lot of anime cliches, MC even has a semi harem that nobody actually talks about

Dude, one of his unique characteristic was surreal pacing. One chapter Killy was blasting some fuckers, next chapter he is already walked for almost halfway to outermost reach of solar system.

Don't start reading/watching it expecting another Blame. It was Nihei's attempt at making a coherent story with a lot of characters.

Blame is a terrible concept when applied to games. Killy literally walks around for millenia, 99% of the time he just walks. They've spent about 150 years together with Cibo riding that elevator to unofficial megastructure with Domachevski.
And then when there is some sort of threat, Killy solves it with the most overpowered gun in sci-fi.

I wouldn't mind a game with a similar visual aesthetics, but gameplay should be different.

Anybody here have watched the CGI movie?

pacing has nothing to do with paneling and motion though.

You have waited so long for them so what's another couple of months?
I really recommend them though.

It's not an issue. Have the boring travel parts pass in cutscenes. Also a game obviously wouldn't feature some op weapon right from the beginning.

You really have poor imagination. The setting would be perfect for a game.

It's not out yet.

It's not out though.

As far as I know it's an original story too but in the trailer you can see the fishermen arc, weird.

youtube.com/watch?v=hwy806RC2-Q

Wasn't it out in 20 of March?
Any release date?

20th of May

Well 1 volume of this one is like 3 times bigger than the normal edition.

They're also longer, I think it's like 3 volumes contained in 1.

another comparison

Guess I'll have to wait for a few months.

Why do they keep insisting on animating CGI this way? It's always so fucking choppy.

You'll only be fucked in the end if you invest yourself in this. Nihei will Sidonia it when he gets bored.

so Nier automata in space: Blame! edition? i could live with that.

personally i wouldn't mind a slow plodding exploration of the megastructure, but then again i spent like a 100 hours in No Mans Sky so i doubt i am a good market sample.

I have the Japanese reprints. Each new volume has about 2.5-3 volumes of the originals. And they are almost twice as large as the normal manga format.
My only complain is that there are a lot of edits or complete redraws. Might have not had the original pages anymore, so that sucks.

because it's cheap and people will watch it because of the IP

This looks too human for me. Hard to explain but the way characters talk, look and move in Blame is uncanny valley, seeing it as a normal anime takes away the weirdness.

Japanese tend to think that low framerate is essential to true anime experience. So they render animation at 12 fps.
What they ignore is the fact that when 2d is animated, each frame is not blended perfectly with the others, there are subtle differences.
In order to emulate this you would need to not use keyframe interpolation at all, but animate each frame by hand. Which drastically increases the time needed for animation and drives the costs up.
Here is an example of how they did 3D to 2D animation for Guilty Gear:
youtube.com/watch?v=yhGjCzxJV3E

Since animation studios can't be arsed to do it, it just looks like low fps crap.

Halo has a ton of megastructures in both the games and especially the EU

>The Halo Rings themselves
>the Ark
>The Dyson sphere shield worlds
>High Charity
>The Unyielding Hierophant
>Pretty much everything in the forerunner trilogy
>UNSC space elevators and orbital platforms

Pic related is a Shield world, for instance

...

1-Polygon has been a CGI studio for 20 years

2- Just like every other cg anime studio they make it choppy on purpose, cutting frames to make it similar to 2D anime. Anime is not videogames or a western cartoon, they don't want that.

? Blame is a niche as fuck title you retard.

halo is way too clean though

What does that even mean?

Blame isn't niche.

...

>Japanese tend to think that low framerate is essential to true anime experience. So they render animation at 12 fps.

wrong.

read They cut fps on purpose

Posting Guilty Gear means nothing, you're comparing a tight anime schedule for a game that repeats the same motions over and over.

When will kids understand that anime is not videogames

>every time there was a fight scene in Blame!

>Blame isn't niche.

It is you mongoloid, it never sold well in Japan it just got a small following of french people because they're weeaboos and then some underground fame with sci-fi nerds that read it.

You're fucking stupid if you think blame is popular.

And this is the last one of stuff that's really technically can be considered megastructures, but there's like another 30 charts of smaller stuff if peoplewant me to dump those

You are doing it wrong, you have to immerse every single panels. if you still don't understand, then Nihei really done his job.

So fucking accurate

every thing is shiny and nice
even with the flood it wasn't dirty enough to compare to blame aesthetic

was thinking of storytiming nihei's new manga's first chapter for the Sup Forumsedditors in this thread but it's impossible here with the 1 minute wait..

If it's not popular it doesn't mean it's niche. Even most manga newbies in the Netherlands know it. It's on a lot of lists and fairly mentioned often as a comparison.

...

That's because Nihei couldn't draw humans for shit

I totally get what you mean.

Do it please.

They can render anime at 30 or 60 fps if the wanted. With lowpoly shit that they use it would not increase rendering time significantly.

When animating by hand they do decrease frame amount on purpose to save time. They've been doing this for so long, it's ingrained in national subconscious that anime is supposed to be choppy. So to mimic that they render interpolated animation at 12 or so fps even if they could go higher.

But it still looks like crap because they don't animate each frame by hand. It just looks like crap.
Of course Guilty Gear is not a anime, but they have figured out a way to do a decent 2d-looking animation with 3d models. If anime studios hope to ever emulate 2d animation decently with 3d, they have to do something similar.

Just admit that his early work was pretty poor at conveying movement. You can still love it afterwards, it's fine to be critical.

It's niche as fuck man, in the last month a lot of people started reading it because of Pewdiepie but it's always been niche.

There's a reason Sidonia was Nihei's first series to do well and it didn't even do that well

Mantle's Approach was bullshit powerful, but I guess most Forerunner shit is. Please, dump more of this, it makes my dick hard.

pretty amazing at making dolls though.

Pewdiepie mentioned Blame on stream or something?

Well, he was an architect. Even in Biomega you'll still get confused by the action.

this board moves too fast and it would take an hour to post it.

mods will delete the thread too because they're pieces of shit

sidonia had a shit-tons of dialogue compared to his other series too
his art style doesn't help either

wait Pewdiepie does manga now? how does that even work?

How about E.Y.E?
store.steampowered.com/app/91700/

Any link or something? Why not zip it and upload it on mega?

he made a video saying his favorite manga is blame.

I should say that APOSIMZ is not the actual name of the manga, it's called Ningyo no Kuni (APOSIMZ) which basically translates to Doll Land and then Aposimz is just the name of the place

...

makes a lot of sense. A lot of the ways manga usually convey action comes at the cost of background and we wouldn't want that in our Nihei now would we?

...

...

The fuck is this artstyle Nihei, go back to creepy dollfaces.

...

huh guess the guy's got some taste.

Thanks for the info about Aposimz. You get a gold star.

It's all about moe silly user.

...

brokendimension.com/

It's an ongoing project made by one guy. Basically a walking simulator in a very glitchy black and white enviroment.

Looks ok. Not GitS level of course, but I'll take it. Cautiously optimistic, hope it's not going to suck a Dyson sphere of dicks.

>it can't be helped
What the fuck's with this phrase?

this is more of an action series

...

This gives me Metachaos vibes.

official translations can be awkward

It means there is nothing you can do about it. a *shrug* and accept it type of attitude. Its a very common phrase.

...

that's what it means, yes.
