This game is on sale right now, I just want to know from you fags who won't sugarcoat it. Should I go for the base game, or the Digital Premium with the season pass? I'm reading that the season pass is basically three DLCs revolving around the main character's friends.

Just stick with the base game, there's no ETA for when all the DLC will be finished, and even then Episode Gladios, which should be the one dedicated on action, doesn't even look better than the main game's combat

Don't get either, the game is fucking awful.

Ha, it's not even all out yet? Oh shit I guess there isn't going to be a complete opinion on this then.

they're going to be working on this game at least midway thru 2018

that's when we'll get a PC port + complete "final mix" edition, most likely

but the skeleton of the game is very good

>but the skeleton of the game is very good
Good joke.

For god's sake, this.

The only redeeming quality the game has is pretty graphics and some nice environments.

Every other thing about the game is pure distilled essence of dogshit.

"wah i didnt get versus xiii"

As someone who played the base game, if it is a deal, and you are definitely going to buy it, then get the DLC. It can only make the game better.

I don't even agree with that. The game looked like dogshit too, maybe the PC version will look alright.

I have been dubious of the game since the very first vs. trailer. I didn't like the look of it then, and I hated how it turned out. I played it through because I'm a stubborn autist who has completed every mainline Final Fantasy and I just didn't want to break my own dumb tradition.

Why I hate it has absolutely nothing to do with it's original concept or not, and everything to do with the fact that it's a terrible trainwreck of bullshit ideas, design-by-committee stupidity, and utterly shit execution of all those shit ideas. Even the soundtrack was forgettable as fuck, and its only saving grace was the selection of old tracks you could listen to in your car or on your not-an-ipod.

I dunno, I played it on a pro with a 4k tv and HDR on, and it looked pretty nice. Granted there were some aesthetic blunders, but that doesn't really detract from it being technically fairly pretty.

Open world and hidden dungeons - 10/10
Storyline missions 1/10

Get the base game if it's cheaper. If you like it then go for the DLC stuff.

The villain is cool as is Chapter 14's Punished Noctis

>The villain is cool
Literally a fedora tipper.

Want to know how I know you're 15?

t. didn't play the game

>his banter is funny
>his design is meh
>is bitter about being rejected by the world after saving it

he had a great motivation for a FF villain.

>Even the soundtrack was forgettable as fuck
Opinion discarded.

...

>people are calling modern graphics dogshit
>in this day and age

Shut the fuck up, niggers. You weren't around when graphics were actually dogshit, back in the N64/PS1 days. You're not allowed to say retarded shit like this unless the graphics are objectively bad, not because they don't meet your overrated standards of excellence.

>all this samefagging
