What game are you thinking of?

Metriod Prime

POSTAL 2

and the DLC, Paradise Lost

You lose all your weapons in both and have to get them again, which is pretty great on higher difficulties when everyone you meet tries to kill you and often carry explosives/flammables.

Runescape

post more cute cartoon girls

Fable 1.

Alan Wake

>fall down a ledge
>all your items are gone

iirc this actually happens two times

Post more ENF

Dragon Age: Origins when you have to walk through the sacred fire and then immediately putting it back on. It really frustrated me that there was no significant reason to do it especially if it took less that 3 seconds.

Close second: FFVII - Yuffie is a bitch,

MGS3.Loved that shit.

There's an island in Breath of the Wild where the monk takes all of your weapons and armor and you have to basically gear up from scratch on this island and kill a Hinox with no gear which is pretty tough. The best weapon on the island is like a shitty soldier's broadsword.

GTA San Andreas, whole equipment gone just so you could have a shitty stealth segment with knife and later on cool katana fight on ship bridge against old sensei

I just stole the orb while the Hinox was sleeping in the middle of a thunderstorm

this

I cheated and basically cheesed him with Urbosa's Fury :

Silent Hill 2

half life

this

SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT IS THE ONLY GAME TO EVER DO THIS WELL

When Yuffie steals all your shit in FF7.

>Guy wipe out every single one of your pal
>catch him alive
>throw him in a trash compactor
>set the compactor to the lowest possible speed
>call it a day

half life. I don't think any other game did it better

Dark Messiah.

They wanted to make him suffer with a slow death obviously

Half-Life 1 will always be what I immediately think of when it comes to this trope.

>dark messiah
>doesn't matter since you still have magic and kicks

FFXV

worst part

Are there any games where this happens to a qt female main character and she's forced to be in her qt underwear?

>San Andreas
>Take all those hood territories
>lose it all in scripted main storyline
>you have to do it all over again

I stopped playing

Only if you get the dumb bitch, completely optional

the beginning of at least like 3 Metroid games

Dragon Quest 7.

thats an odd number for "ALLLLLLL OFFFFF THEMMMMMM"

>those 2 tiny territories that don't even have any pedestrians spawning on them and you have to lure ballas into them

worst design ever rockstar, how did that even get through q&a

I bashed his skull in with a large metal box.

Chrono Trigger, though you don't lose abilities.

Can that shit even be called a teritory?

Castlevania: SotN. Fuck Death.

You're bringing back feelings from long ago.

Deus Ex on the majestic12 base.
That part is pretty badass, especially after you escape and emerge in UNATCO HQ.

That was such a pain in the ass the get.

>"what body? heheheheh"
>literally what body

Dude Sex
Dude Sex Human Revolution

Doom 3 but then they give it right back

Fallout 3 DLCs (Except Broken Steel and Point Lookout)

Resident Evil 4.
On top of that they turn you into a little girl.

First time I ever expierienced it was the first halflife. You walk into a room and the lights turn off, then some marines beat the shit outta gordon freeman, take all his shit, and toss him into a trash compactor.

"Body? What body?"
(Evil laughter)

Skyward Sword
and if I remember correctly it was pretty fun

...

they cut a scene from the PS2 version's Decay campaign where you could actually watch Gordon die if you just stood around and watched, they'd shoot him before dumping him in the compactor

>part of game where you lose all your gear and magic
>you're a monk

I like how in blueshift they worked it in there too. You can watch em drag gordon past the broom closet you get temporarily teleported into.

Fucking Entrana :^)

Prototype.

You lose nearly all your shit at like the 70% mark and the game suddenly goes from fun to being complete shit and I quit the game in disgust

Are there any games where I can play a cute girl who has been forcibly stripped and must now find her clothes again?

Kingdom Hearts

>tfw you cant do wooden sword lvl 1 crit mode

Chrono Trigger
>tfw taking Ayla

I threw a weapon onto the beach before hand on accident, went to pick it up and lost all my items but the sword I threw was still there on the island. Kinda sad now since it seems like it'd be a lot of fun doing it from scratch

Pic related, Gab lost his gears at least 3 times.

>somehow a giant supercomputer steals your magical powers
What the fuck were they thinking?

all you need is the tazer

docs.google.com/document/d/1vZk_yW7ZOyoE23tDG_DcuIO6XauEEu-OGkLk41wOlpY/edit

In Oracle of Ages these fuckers take all your stuff, and it was way better done than how it was done in Breath of the Wild in my opinion.

Ultima VII-Part 2: The Serpent Isle lmfao

>spend UVII kicking the Guardian's shit in, destroying the Black Gate, amassing all kinds of amazing weaponry and armor and magic items
>go to Serpent Isle
>crash boat
>reality is fucking destroying itself
>chaos storms happening everywhere
>lightning strikes each character who is teleported and everything on them is teleported and switched out with someone else's fucking random USELESS GARBAGE

Didn't everyone apart from Ayla become completely inactive until you got their gear back?

Nuts and Bolts

The entire game is that part.

Oh yes, I love you user

I used Stasis repeatedly on some large boulders to kill him. I love how BotW has so many ways of doing things.

I really need to get my hands on BotW.
I don't own a WiiU or Switch, and CEMU seems to be not good enough yet, but I've been hearing great things about it, one of the most interesting things is how the game is so open.
All the gameplay systems work together to allow players to solve one problem with an almost infinite amount of solutions and it creates really cool stories like what you anons just posted.
Open world games haven't been my thing in years, but I feel like this could pull me back into it.

Assassin's Creed. Jesus christ this is so retarded. I get it that Al Mualim could have deprived Altair of rank and equipment, but how the fuck did he strip him of his abilities? What kind of sorcery is this? Why din he strip Altair of his abilities in the final fight?

who are these girls?

.

>he didn't throw the sword at him during the lightning storm and let Zeus do all the work

The best girls

youtube.com/watch?v=S0tvc9IG9zQ

The first 3 games had great OSTs

LoZ: Oracle of Ages
>spend 45 minutes exploring the island and playing minigames to get them back

Only casuals had problems with this
>b-b-but muh Hinnox
Nigger just magnet the metal boxes and slap his eye

I never had to kill the hinox. I ended up knocking a bokobkin down there with him, and for some reason, the fucker stole the orb from the sleeping hinox and ran off with it. I just took it from him

...

Oddworld: stranger's wrath

legit one of the best usages of this trope

Come to the ENF general on /e/

final fantasy 7

I can only think of Mario Sunshine.

>Face a fair challenge sneaking with knife until I get a gun
>enemies start ambushing you around corners
And the best bit:
>Old man throws you a katana and challenges you to a duel
>"Oh shit this is gonna be a tough boss fight!"
>Kill him in one swing and decapitate him

This

Metroid Zero Mission. When you get to sneak around as ZSS. Muh dick

phantom hourglass

I'm guessing people are avoiding the obvious answer of Resident Evil VII
But seriously, fuck that ship segment. Not long but it's nerve wracking as hell.

this

Stalker Clear Sky
That part when you go into a basement of some sort and two bandits steal yeverything you have.

>but it's nerve wracking as hell.

due to being a first person jumpscare simulator

Of all parts of that game, that's the one part where jumpscares aren't the main scare.
You actually don't have any fucking weapons and there are regular enemies just walking the halls so you gotta just book it and trap em with doors.

I think SS or TP? I cant remember all i remember is its was a 3D zelda on the Wii

All 3 Fable games, Saints Row the Third

>he decapitates you
>wake up from the hospital without a head
>no way to fix it uness you reload a save
>haven't saved in hours

Fucking hated that

fuck that

I stayed completely fucking still for that until the waves finally finished

"THAT WILL KEEP YOU OUT ME SWAMPY"

Metroid in general was my first though, glad to see Prime was first response.

Metal Gear Solid and Overlord
