>best swordplay in the series
>best and most humble Link
>also the best origin story for Link
>best companion and girl (Midna)
>best gimmick mechanic (wolf form)
>best horse riding mechanic

>best final boss fight
>Lorule story done right
>that spiderman hookshot mechanic
>no shitty LinkxZelda shipping
Why does this game get a rep as one of the "worst" in the series?
It's unironically one of the best.
Why do you hate Twilight Princess?
Slow start and unrealistic expectations
>edgy
>shitty controls
>bas art stlye
>no ibtesting mechanics other than "lel ur a wulf nao go find sheit in da twiloit"
WW's better.
Also hour long tutorial
Too many people expected Twilight Princess to be the best game of all time forever. I didn't fall into that trap, so I always liked it a lot. But the slow, two hour start makes me not want to replay it too often. I've only beaten it 4 or 5 times.
Midna is for _________
Post more midna
no imp
It also took more than 3 hours to get the master sword and beat the game. Which was really nice.
I've a Q for yeaz. Which version should I play? Gamecube or Wii? Wii has widescreen right? but shitty wand controls? I've never played this or the sky zelda
It's my favorite Zelda game.
Wasn't as bad as skyward swords or botw for that matter. Simply because you don't get the best tool in the game at the end of the tutorial then never get anything again in TP and SS. Yea I sure do love not getting anything throughout Zelda games thanks botw you really nailed that one for me.
Agreed. I never feel like the game starts until after the 3rd dungeon.
with GC it's basically the same controls as WW
>best swordplay in the series
first point and you're already wrong
>botw
>tutorial section
I don't know how you justify that 1.5 hour bullshit in TP as not being worse than BotW's opening. SS is pure shit though
What was this expression trying to convey?
>Best Horseriding
You gotta be joking lol
Literally all of that is wrong. Except for Midna.
Post Midna.
>4 images
What kind of half-assed Midna thread is this?
...
do you think that midna and link fucked before she returned to the twilight realm?
I still going back and replay TP once in a while.
>TFW there will never be an epilogue quest where Link tries to find a way back into Twilight land.
You are actually fucking retarded if you don't think TP's tutorials are better than BOTW's. Say what you will you autist, but it has the greatest beginning tutorial out of any of the 3D zeldas.
>You are actually fucking retarded if you don't think TP's tutorials are better than BOTW's.
What the actual fuck. I can only imagine that the "don't" is a typo because otherwise you are an incomprehensible faggot.
Link is a mute autist, does he even know what sex is? Do the Twili even have sex?
Twili have nipples, so probably. And they can teach each other.
Also god that artist is amazing.
When you nutted but she keeps sucking?
Everything had a weird dark filter to it and looked less colorful than it should be. I would've enjoyed TW much more if they just turned up the contrast/brightness a bit. Making everything covered in shadows does not equate to a serious atmosphere.
Imp or true form?
People are dumb. TP is objectively the best Zelda.
Imp is cute but true form is beautiful
The choice is obvious therefore
>edgy
Not an argument unless you only like super happy kawaii shit.
>shitty controls
If you played the Wii version maybe.
>bas art stlye
Wut? The art style itself was fine and was just hated for not being kawaii desu. The graphics didn't age as well though.
>no ibtesting mechanics other than "lel ur a wulf nao go find sheit in da twiloit"
But the actually gameplay mechanics were arguably the best in the series.
>Why does this game get a rep as one of the "worst" in the series?
I don't think TP was ever that harshly treated. It's actually one of the most traditional Zelda games in terms of structure and content. The dungeons are probably the best out of all the 3D Zelda's.
The games probelms come from the fact the formula was getting a little stale for some people, which is why Nintendo tried to change things up with Skyward Sword and BotW.
But the biggest issue the gane has is that the story just isn't that engaging. The inhabitants of Hyrule literally have no idea what's going on and seem completely indifferent to the Twilight menace. If THEY don't care, how the fuck is the player supposed to care about saving them?
Not him, but TP was overly edgy in some places, especially with the cutscene for pic related.
You mean pretty much that one cutscene then?
Kinda funny how we get the reverse with WW, where people used to constantly go on about Link stabbing Ganondorf in the head to prove that it wasn't 'kiddy'.
>It's actually one of the most traditional Zelda games in terms of structure and content.
It really wasn't, most of the series up until that point was a lot more open. TP was the setpiece game.
>The dungeons are probably the best out of all the 3D Zelda's.
Absolutely not. When was the last time you replayed TP? They're not bad but they're very bland. Almost every dungeon is trivially linear, in the sense that most of them have one obvious way forward and shortcut you back to the hub where there's the illusion of a choice, so it's one simple puzzle after the next. And the bosses are really lame.
TP:
>Start off in forest tutorial area
>Companion character
>Epona
>Initial quest involves 3 dungeons before opening up a larger quest.
>The Lost Woods
>Pulling the Master Sword.
>Typical Forest, Fire, Water dungeons.
>Temple of Time.
>Final battle in the Castle
And lots and lots more.
Twilight Princess is absolutely one of the most traditional Zelda's ever from a structure and content perspective.
>doesn't mention having the best incarnation of Zelda in the series
Don't believe every z-list e-celeb faggot on youtube.
I've been playing Zelda since the mid 80's. The dungeons in TP are the best in the series (at least from the 3D ones).
It's so god damn boring, I bought it on Wii when it first came out and on Wii U and kept losing the motivation to continue
>best incarnation of Zelda in the series
Her character design is fantastic but she doesn't have much in the way of a personality.
In terms of design? Sure. Everything else is pretty boring, though. She's not even the heroine of the game. Midna is.
>Also hour long tutorial
You mean WW?
Yeah no not even close. She looks pretty and that's it. Let's face the facts:
-surpressed knowledge of the twilight realm over the years
-surrendered her kingdom without a fight
-decided to stay locked in a tower instead of trying to do anything helpful
-forced her power on Midna who didn't want it
-Get possessed by Ganon without a fight
-has to be almost point blank during the horse back boss fight to hit Ganondorf. Meanwhile the player would of been skilled enough to hit at almost max range at top speed
She has pretty much no presence in the game outside of a couple scenes. ilia was more important than TP Zelda.
TP Zelda is pretty looking but utterly useless as a character. Every other Zelda incarnation has done more expect the first two games since she was asleep.
Really makes you think.
>she doesn't have much in the way of a personality.
>utterly useless as a character.
So just like every Zelda to come after her aside from ST Zelda? Oh I guess BOTW Zelda goes super saiyan, but only after you give her your energy. Oh wait but TP Zelda does help against Ganondorf in one phase as well.
Tetra had personality but it all gets stripped away once she's revealed to be Zelda.
The first time I played TP, I honestly thought early on that the big reveal woulf be that Midna WAS Zelda, it was just her Twilight form the same way Link is a wolf.
...
BotW Zelda >>>>> TP Zelda
>Tetra had personality but it all gets stripped away once she's revealed to be Zelda.
We've been over this. She does not. Pic related. Just because she isn't entirely one-dimensional and reacts to some startling news about her doesn't mean she loses all personality.
...
>implying
Zelda 1 and 2 did nothing. It wasn't even an issue cause first couple games.
LttP Zelda helped you via telepathy.
OoT Zelda gave you guidance and songs to unlock stuff as well as that ninja stuffs.
WW Tetra was still useful even as Zelda. Sure she sat around but she had character and did something in the final battle.
Spirit Tracks Zelda was with you the entire game pretty much and was among the most useful ever with her possession gimmick.
SS Zelda is shown at the end to be fending for herself a bit before Impa saves her and then preforms her duty as the goddess as needed, also blessing the master sword.
HW Zelda actually gets on the front lines and figthts
BotW Zelda is shown to be a good scholar and when shit hits the fan she keeps Ganon at bay for 100 years. Even when she fucked up she still tried to do something.
so yeah. Several other Zelda's have done far more than TP Zelda has.
More.
It really picks up as you get into it. WW is way more flawed
>Oh wait but TP Zelda does help against Ganondorf in one phase as well.
did you miss
>-has to be almost point blank during the horse back boss fight to hit Ganondorf. Meanwhile the player would of been skilled enough to hit at almost max range at top speed
TP Zelda is a shit archer. You have the bow taken away from you and she can't hit the Dorf unless you're really damn close, she won't even take a far shot.
I as damn good at horseback archery and could of sniped ganondorf easily.
>SS Zelda
She doesn't fend for herself at all. She bypasses everything because reasons and then has Impa to escort her everywhere. She's then a plot device.
>HW Zelda
Fair but that's a spinoff game.
>BotW Zelda
She spends the whole game sealed away after screwing up, which keeps Ganon there too.
As I said, AFTER TP. Games before that like OoT and WW don't apply.
Link couldn't use Light Arrows in TP. Zelda could. Also how good you think you are is irrelevant here.
I don't, it's my favorite Zelda game for all the reasons you listed. Plus castle town and Ordon are pretty comfy areas. The other games never really got you too attached to the home areas, kinda just kicked you out immediately after you start. But TP's long (and tedious, I admit) tutorial makes the place feel more like home.

fug
>As I said, AFTER TP. Games before that like OoT and WW don't apply
no no no. You don't (if it was you) claim TP Zelda is the best "incarnation" and then say the previous versions don't count.
>BotW Zelda
>She spends the whole game sealed away after screwing up, which keeps Ganon there too.
Did you miss read her journals in the castle and watch the memories? BotW Zelda actually works into being a scholar since she can't into the goddess powers and is fairly competent at it. So her uses are non-traditional for Zelda's but still good.
>Link couldn't use Light Arrows in TP. Zelda could. Also how good you think you are is irrelevant here.
Yeah that's bullshit and you know it. Light arrows are just a gimmick than Link has used several times before, there was no good reason to take them away from the player at that point. Let's look back at the fact that before she takes the bow, you spend phase 1 fighting a possessed TP Zelda.
She don't get redeemed for being useless 99% of the time and then only have 1 minor use for 2-5 minutes.
post more midnaXlink
This would of been amazing if was in game. Link fighting through impossibility to get back to Midna in twilight realm. Stuck there but that's ok. Cut to years later with their kids playing hero as they look on.
shameless unironic otp
Too lewd?
It'd make for a good sequel, but it'll never happen
The best we can hope for with regards to another Midna appearance is the inevitable HW2
...
Only if janny-kun catches you
>no no no. You don't (if it was you) claim TP Zelda is the best "incarnation" and then say the previous versions don't count.
I don't claim that. Go back and look at when I said AFTER her. Now why would ones before her not count?
>BotW Zelda actually works into being a scholar since she can't into the goddess powers and is fairly competent at it.
And? TP Zelda could read a bunch of books while sitting in the castle for all we know, but that doesn't account for much in what we are talking about.
>Yeah that's bullshit and you know it.
No it isn't. TP Link never uses Light Arrows. You might want to assume he can because past Links could, but the fact is that he doesn't.
>She don't get redeemed for being useless 99% of the time and then only have 1 minor use for 2-5 minutes.
So basically like SS and BOTW Zelda?
...
...

the best part about this is that Midna being into bondage is completely believable
This is one strong bait OP
TP is my least favorite Zelda mostly because it doesn't try anything new, looks like ass, and has forced tutorials and padding up the ass.
And you fucks only like Midna because she's cute and has some charm to her character, she's literally another Fi that blocks you every two steps and tells the obvious. If she was robotic like Fi with a less cuter design you'd hate her just the same.
Wolf form is 100% worthless and wasn't implemented well into the game, there was no point to it. It seems like they added it in just because they wanted some gimmick without even thinking how it'd fit into the game or the series as a whole.
It just didn't do enough to stand out, if anything it did more wrong than right. The story itself was the usual Zelda but with weird as fuck moments you didn't know if you're supposed to take them seriously or not (and the series usually nails this aspect), possibly the worst Zelda OST ever with one memorable track and a bunch of low-tier remixes.
I don't know where I'm going with this post anymore, TP is just fucking trash. It wasn't so awful that I had to quit it don't get me wrong, but the worst in the series and a game that I'll never want to replay.
What makes you think that?
Ok faggot, it lets you do everything the game has to offer then puts you out there doing the same stuff on a larger scale. Not to mention your reward is getting the best and only tool in the game. I'd rather play SS opening twice before touching botw again.
Isn't it obvious?
>constantly playfully teases link throughout the game
>several occasions where link tries to do something and she stops him (i.e. she's pretty much in control)
>sarcastic, immature, or haughty behavior in general
...
Why didn't she just take Link with her before closing it?
wtf I love feets now
>people like this exist
because Nintendo was trying to sell Link & Ilia but the writing for that was garbage and in hindsight Midna was a much better choice in every way
that or they just like seeing Link suffer
Is there anyone in the world who actually gave a shit about the ilia subplot
No.
I honestly forget she even exists. It started okay, but went nowhere.
I hated her
>that worthless as fuck item she gives you after helping out with the stupid amnesia plot
Possibly one of the worst Zelda moments.
.
>best swordplay in the series
I wouldn't even rank it honestly. I found WW to be more fun in comparison.
Had the best companion for sure, but everything else was worse I feel.
The concept felt like a half baked idea mixing OoT and LttP and it wasn't as well done as either.
After beating BotW, I can appreciate TP more for what it is. While BotW might have "emergent gameplay" and open world elements, TP can concentrate on story building with its linear structure. Also it has big dungeons.
Also played the Wii version
>I wouldn't even rank it honestly. I found WW to be more fun in comparison.
?
It's literally the same as WW but you have more unique moves, and aren't hampered by your character's retarded proportions.
did they have a threesome afterwards?
Half of the game is made of garbage contents.
Undoubtedly.
Zelda wasn't even close to a fifth wheel, Midna blueballed Link so hard he didn't have the will to pityfuck his childhood friend.
...
TP isn't an awful Zelda game.
The fans of TP are worse than the game itself.
Just like Batman fans
