This is the best controller for PC gaming.
This is the best controller for PC gaming
thats not keyboard and mouse
I agree
steam controller is more comfortable but the configuration software is just the worst
then why the fuck do I have such a hard time setting the control scheme to that of an actual ps4 controller? fucking steam and their unlimited options.
As a PS4 owner who has used it for PC, I'd have to say the xbone controller is better for PC.
yeah i just use a rock candy xbox 360 controller and it's fine
True
I always liked PS controllers. How do you connect it to PC? Does it have USB or through some adapter?
USB or bluetooth
Hold the ps button and share. It shows up on Bluetooth on Windows v10 with no configuration required. It's how I play GTA, some fighters, indie junk, emulators, etc.
thanks user
If you just usb to pc like you charge on the console it should just work
Make sure to use DS4Windows
I don't understand how people claim Xbone controller is better. DS4 has a more accurate d-pad, and the triggers take less effort to click in.
I don't, but I never expect to use the touch pad
wat
Switch Pro Controller
I don't use any program to map it, it just works. I run an arcade pad through a mapper and my controller (any ps4 controller I've connected) just works- except for the trackpad.
It does? Thought it worked really shittily without DS4Windows
You have to dick around with the DS4, much easier to use an XBone controller. Just plug and play instantly. Also comfier.
It's the steam controller, sadly.
Most games that require a second stick are just cheap console ports.
Otherwise it's nice being able to map any keys or combos through steam, even to point and click games (super comfy).
Stop lying
Not in my experience. Sounds like mustard race lies to me. Trying to drive a wedge between us.
>casually pirates nier:Automata
Can't wait to see if my ps4 controller just magically works on this, too
Why would I need to lie?
Who the fuck fanboys over fucking controllers?
For games that don't support DS4 you need to use DS4Windows. For games that support it you need to deactivate DS4windows. It's a hassle, and XB360/XBO is better because it's nearly universal among games. Redpilled the DS4. Sonyfags BTFO.
It takes like 5 minutes to set up DS4Windows or the Steam drivers
My 360 controller is like a decade old
what do I buy lads, not a big fan of the dualshocks
I wanna meet you and touch your face while you say these lies to me
DS4Windows and Bluetooth. I bought two PS4 controllers for my laptop, don't even own a PS4 and they're the best.
>Dualshit
>ever
After four generations of hand cramps and bad controls Sonyponîes are STILL this delusional.
Boner
If I'm using a bone controller is it better to use the official dongle or connect via Bluetooth
Have you tried running games without Steam?
360 if you're a purist, xbo if you just want something that works that won't be flimsy shit
No native driver support.
Sony doesn't provide driver support at all
how?
I suppose not. I'd be surprised if Steam had much to do with it, though.
Steam does
If it works on generic drivers, why provide your own?
Do you have steam in the background? It supports DS4 now and could be picking it up.
It takes 5 milliseconds to plug in a boner controller and play.
I've been rolling like this since Bloodborne came out.
How the fuck have you not learned how to hold the controller properly yet? Stop giving it a deathgrip, hold it between your palms.
*Blocks your path*
>tries to tell an autist how to hold things
Spinners boys
It's the best, but not perfect. I wish the dualshock controllers were bigger. One's controller fits nice, but the layout and dpad is shit.
...
...
too bad about the gloss
Triggers are not cozy.
It could be that you were using it for games that have native DS4 support. Since its launch back in 2015, games have been adding PC support for DS4.
The problem with vanilla DS4 drivers was that it uses the outdated DirectInput API which most games don't detect. DS4windows and Steam acts as an Xinput wrapper and tricks the games to pick it up as a Xbox 360 controller.
Speak for yourself. The only thing I don't like about them is that they're buttons as opposed to gradients.
Very considerate of steam to do so. I hadn't right much about how it meddled with inputs.
Id think so if it was as natively supported as an Xbox One controller
I wish more games had the DS4 button prompts, I've never owned an xbox so it gets pretty confusing when I use my DS4 on PC
DUDE
SUBJECTIVE
>just hold it in a retarded way
>well no it's not comfortable but it's more functional!
>look it's almost like the sticks aren't retarded!
Sonyponíes
xbone shits all over this
i have a ps4, meaning i already had a ds4 controller
still bought an xbone one
I concur. Just bought the Xbone S controller for half price and am enjoying it more than I did using the DS4 on Windows
lol, no
xbox or km
